Kitchenware News & Housewares Review Show Daily Monday, March 20, 2017 6 CHEF'S PLANET PRODUCTS MAKE LIFE EASIER IN THE KITCHEN Since its inception, Chef's Planet, a kitchenware company based in La Verne, California, has had a mission to create nonstick products and culinary tools that make life easier in the kitchen. The mar- ket success of its bestselling nonstick ovenliner has increased the company's brand awareness, easing the way for the introduction of other unique kitchen gadgets and nonstick products for food preparation, baking and grilling. Chef's Planet proudly manufactures all of the PTFE coated nonstick products it sells in the USA. Chef's Planet's prod- ucts are currently sold throughout the United States and Canada. At the 2017 IH+H Show, Chef's Planet is showcasing the Korean-manu- factured Silkway fry pan with patented nonstick film lamination technology, for which the company is an exclusive U.S. distributor. Unlike traditional PTFE or ceramic spray coated nonstick pans, the Silkway pan features a laminated film coating, which is smooth, even, durable, has a longer nonstick lifespan and pro- vides superior food release with little to no oil use. This pan stands out from rival nonstick pans in that the nonstick coating is laminated under heat and pressure (rather than spray coated) and resists surface micro-pin- holes. When micro- pinholes occur in a spray coated cooking surface, residue from food, oil and clean- ing agents deteriorates the surface, reduc- ing nonstick functionality more quickly. Because a laminated nonstick film coat- ing resists micro-pinholes, it provides the best food release and long lasting dura- bility. A cooking demo in Chef's Planet booth #S1517 displays the Silkway fry pan's superior nonstick capabilities. The Universal Stir-Through Lid which acts as a splatter guard, spoon rest and univer- sal size lid all in one is also being featured at the show. The graduated silicone rim fits pots and pans from 10 to 12.5 inches while the stir- through area accommodates most utensils so you can stir without removing the lid. The slotted area also acts as a spoon rest, so drips from your spoon fall back into your pot. The lid is constructed with a tempered glass insert and stay cool handles. WAKE UP GENTLY WITH LA CROSSE TECHNOLOGY'S MOOD LIGHT ALARM La Crosse Technology's newest addition to the alarm family features a uniquely designed Mood Light Alarm Clock, equipped with a variety of nature sounds that are sure to soothe even the most stressful of days. This easy-to-use alarm allows you to choose from seven different light colors depending on your mood, and if you can't decide on one, simply set it to cycle mode and watch each color fade into the next. La Crosse Technology knows how difficult it can be to sleep with a bright light next to you in bed, so not only was the mood light designed with five differ- ent brightness level settings, but so was the LCD display. Fall asleep to the soothing sound of a flowing river, and wake up to seag- ulls chirping while ocean waves crash into the beach. With five different nature sounds to choose from, you will wake up as peacefully as you fell asleep. Before heading to bed, use the sleep timer to program a nature sound of choice to play for 15 all the way up to 90 minutes before bed, and do not forget to set your snooze timer for those of us who always want just 10 more min- utes of sleep. Whether you need a quick break before dinner or in between classes, the nap timer allows you to take a 5-120 minute nap without disrupting your previous set alarms. La Crosse Technology's creative team always designs with you in mind. Use the 1 amp USB charging port to charge your phone or other device without taking up unnecessary space on the outlet. The rubber feet keep the alarm from sliding around while programming or hitting the snooze button, and each button is designed a little different, allowing for easy set up. The Mood Light Alarm Clock with Nature Sounds makes the perfect addi- tion to bedsides of all ages. For more information, go to www .lacrossetechnology.com or stop by booth #L13307. THE AEROLATTE FRENCH PRESS COMES WITH SPECIAL FEATURES aerolatte ® has done it again with its orig- inal range of French presses. The design and special features help to make the per- fect cup of coffee! Three sizes (3, 5 and 8 cup) are available from Harold Import Co. aerolatte originally brought to the market the category defining invention aerolatte hand-held, battery-operated milk frother, bringing cappuccino mak- ing simply and easily into the home. The launch of the aerolatte branded French presses is a logical progression and a wonderful addition to the developing and expanding frothing and coffee making range. Each size of press includes multi- lingual instructions for sale in all international markets. The beaker is easy to release from the stainless steel frame and the lid has a micro filter built into the lid for a smoother tasting cup of coffee. aerolatte is a specialist in milk frothing and assures that the attention to detail it has given to its frothing range of products and accessories over the years is now also being applied to the development of its French presses. Alan Green, joint Chief Executive Officer, says, "When we looked at this mar- ket, we took the time to under- stand what consumers wanted. Our French presses incorporate an easy to use guide printed on the glass beakers showing the user how much coffee and water to add. Also, the easy release of the beaker from the frame is a welcome feature consumers appreciate. We're sure con- sumers will love them as much as our best-selling hand-held frothers, which have become market leaders in the USA." PRECIDIO'S DRINK IN THE BOX GETS A UNIQUE MAKEOVER Precidio Design is turning the drink bottle world upside down with its great new product being launched at IHA, Drink in the Box UNIQUE. UNIQUE is different. A departure from the tradi- tional round water bottle, UNIQUE is a slim, sleek, rectangular and fashionable drink container that appeals to individ- uals who want to make their own mark in the world. Drink in the Box UNIQUE's trendy, durable design, neu- tral color palette, smart features and eco-friendly reusability make it the convenient on-the-go beverage acces- sory choice for college students, hip- sters, fashionistas and young profes- sionals. Made from durable, USA Tritan™, UNIQUE offers a one-handed, snap lid with straw design that will stand up to the test of active, busy lifestyles. Simply press the button to open and sip, and then close it when finished. You do not need two hands to unscrew a lid like many tra- ditional drink bottles. The food-safe sili- cone straw is replaceable and detaches from the top for easy cleaning, while the Tritan body is dishwasher safe (top-rack please!), so no need to worry about mold or bacteria. UNIQUE helps you express your individuality while offering stylish, thirst-quenching convenience no matter where your day may take you. At the gym, UNIQUE lets you sip from the bot- tle without tilting your head back, so it's more comfortable than using a regular water bottle. Because UNIQUE is easy to close after each sip, it also provides spill-proof peace of mind when working at your desk or on your computer, keeping your important papers or laptop safe and dry. Speaking of safe, UNIQUE has an important story to share from Precidio Design's own Vice President of Sales and Marketing, Chris Jensen. In 2014, Chris' son was at a bar with friends when he began to feel disoriented and headed to the washroom. The next thing he remem- bers is waking up at the hospital the next day, as the doctor advised him he had been given a commonly known knockout drug. Chris' son's story is unfortunately an all too common occurrence in today's society, but UNIQUE can help! UNIQUE allows you to protect your drink in public places so you are in con- trol of what you are drink- ing. Just pour your favorite drink into UNIQUE, and snap the lid closed to pre- vent anything being dropped in. Unlike drinking from a glass or bottle in a public space, with UNIQUE you can close the lid between sips, put it into your bag or pocket, and keep it with you on the dance floor or as you walk around. UNIQUE is BPA- and phthalate- free, so is also safe from bad chemicals associated with plastic bottles. UNIQUE is available in four sophisticated colors – black, bronze, silver and white – and retails for $17.99. Be you and stand out with Precidio's Drink in the Box UNIQUE line. For more information, stop by booth #S1010 or go to www.precidio.com.
