The Dual Alarm Clock's distinctive tower design features a bright, easy-to- read color LCD display. The display has large time digits with alarm icons, calen- dar with full day of the week spelling, month and date, indoor temperature available in Fahrenheit and Celsius, indoor humidity and USB charging indi- cators. Not only is the calendar and setup menu available in English and Spanish, but the backlight is adjustable. There are three different alarm set- tings perfect for single day use, every day of the week or even for the weekends. The crescendo alarm will sound for two minutes and turn off auto- matically if no buttons are pushed. The newest feature to La Crosse Technology's alarm family is the nap function; simply set the nap timer between 5-120 min- utes, allowing for a perfect- ly timed rest at the touch of a button – without disrupting your morn- ing alarms. The two USB charging ports have a 2.2 amp total output, giving you the option to charge two devices, such as a phone or tablet, simultaneously. Once you have plugged the device of your choice in, expect a warm "Hello" greeting from your alarm clock. It will also wish you "Good Morning" whenever your alarm goes off. Each USB charging port has its own charging indicator, allowing for you to see when your device is fully charged, as well as a "storage cable hook so that you don't lose the charging cord for later use. STAY ORGANIZED WITH RICHARDS HOMEWARES' CLEARLY CHIC PRODUCT LINE Richards Homewares' Clearly Chic prod- uct line has grown significantly since it was first offered three years ago. The beauty of this line is it organizes instant- ly and goes with any consumer's décor. Because it is clear, it allows the user to see and reach what they want instantly. Clearly Chic is made from a patented for- mula that is so crystal clear that people think it is acrylic, but it is polystyrene and is incredibly durable with more affordable prices. There are many Clearly Chic styles to choose from, which allows consumers a customized approach to their organiza- tion needs. There are styles with more than 19 compartments that fit lipstick, brushes, nail polish, foundation, com- pacts, etc. There are styles that fit per- fectly in drawers. There is even an organ- izer built to store all nail care products in one place. These organizers can be really great gifts, great for BTC and especially as a self- purchase. This year, Richards will continue to expand this product group and introduce more than two dozen new items. They include a variety of new organizers, some of which can cross over to workspace or kitchen organization. All are styl- ish and popularly priced. They are a great consumer impulse buy that walks out the store, which helps raise the average transactional POS. This kind of storage has never been so popular, but it is timeless and very functional. Busy women love the way they can easily cre- ate attractive storage in any area with Clearly Chic. These products help them organize make-up, workspace, dorm rooms and jewelry. While they are beautiful enough to sit on the countertop, Clearly Chic can also fit in drawers or cabinets. The com- partments keep everything in place, even when opening a drawer or removing from a cab- inet. VIATEK PREMIERING MORE THAN 20 NEW PRODUCTS AT SHOW An interview with Lou Lentine, President, Viatek. KNSD: Tell our readers about Viatek Consumer Products. LL: Viatek is a product development company that manages exciting brands of products including Night Stars, Quirky Pivot Power, Q-Beam, Arctica and many more. Our team designs, develops and manufactures innovation. Last year, Viatek developed over 40 new products and expects the innovation to continue as we move forward. KNSD: Considering your past success, can we expect Viatek to continue its pat- tern of growth? LL: Definitely. The company has always maintained a steady growth pattern, but the last two years have been beyond even our expectations. Over the years, Viatek has been proud to offer a number of pop- ular products, but there have been sever- al new items that brought explosive growth to the company more recently. That growth has translated into bigger opportunities and allowed us to improve on every aspect of our business from design to development to distribution. KNSD: What does that new growth look like for Viatek? LL: At home, we have been able to expand the company and hire a number of new employees to keep up with the demand for what we offer. On the worldwide stage, we have seen our products grow in popularity in a number of new countries and have even been able to form partner- ships with other international companies which will continue to fuel our growth. All of this culminates in an expanded product line that covers a wide range of product areas. In fact, at IHHA 2017 alone, we are premiering over 20 new products! KNSD: What new things can consumers expect to see from Viatek this year? LL: There are a lot of exciting things happening at Viatek this year! Building on the amazing populari- ty of our Night Stars line, we have developed several new models that will offer consumers an even wider range of options. The 2016 launch of our partnerships with Montel Williams and Bob Vila continue to be successful, with both lines expanding into retail stores everywhere. Viatek acquired Q-Beam flashlights in 2016, a 40-year-old recognized brand that we are eager to bring to a new gen- eration of consumers. We also acquired international licensing for the established Quirky Power and Pivot Power brands and we are ready with several new and exciting products. 2017 will definitely be an exciting year for Viatek! THE COLOR GREEN IS THE NEW ACCENT IN THE KITCHEN: APPLIANCES, BAKEWARE & TOOLS Greenery, the pantone color of the year, is showing up in more than just paint chips and curtains. Shades of this nature- friendly green are cropping up in kitchen appliances, bakeware and kitchen tools – hard working products that are used every day in everyday kitchens. The Swiss appliance manufacturer, Novis Vita Juicer, offers a green juicer that is a fresh alternative to the typical metallic, white and black juicers that dominate the market. The juicer is designed to juice, press and puree veg- etables and fruits to extract the freshest nutrients and flavors from food. It makes sense that it is available in a spring and summer inspired green. In bakeware, the Emile Henry Modern Classics green is a bright, reju- venating color that is aptly named Spring. Like the color Greenery, Spring calls to mind words like restore, renew and refresh. The signature product in the collection of bakers and kitchenware is the pie dish. This pie dish is a little big- ger than the traditional Emile Henry pie dish, so a baker can make a truly ample-sized pie or casserole to feed friends and family, to restore rela- tionships and good times. This ceramic bakeware is made in France from Burgundy clay and is blended with other ingre- dients for superior durability, then fired at over 2,000 degrees Fahrenheit, and finally glazed by hand using natural materials. Lékué, a kitchen tool manufacturer from Barcelona, has added kitchen tools accented in a zesty green to its collection of kitchenware. These Jars- to-Go, spatulas, spoons and turners join other green gadgets, including the pop- ular herb keeper, citrus spray, steam case and lemon squeezer, all designed to help encourage healthy eating. According to Tara Steffen, Marketing Director for Novis Vita Juicer, Emile Henry and Lékué in the USA, "The kitchen is an ideal space to see shades of Greenery since the color signifies begin- nings: renewal, healthy food resolutions and growing vegetarian trends."
