C o n s t r u c t i o n M a r k e t p l a c e Tu e s d a y, J a n u a r y 2 0 , 2 0 1 5 5 2 DM: We manufacture building products, insulation and accessories for a variety of industries and applications. Our solutions help create and sustain energy efficient and weather-protected homes and build- ings. We have everything from roofing underlayment, ventilation products, housewrap, engineered films and vapor barriers, to recessed lights, radiant barri- ers, etc. Our corporate headquarters are located in East Peoria, Ill., with manufac- turing facilities located throughout the Midwest. ISI has been in business since 1996. It's hard to believe we will soon be approaching our 20th year. So much about our company has changed over the years and part of that is due to constant change in this industry. It's important to keep up with the technology. We strive to create high performance patented prod- ucts from the finest materials – that's part of our ongoing dedication to innovation. CM: How are you involved in the build- ing industry? DM: We are members of many industry trade and professional organizations, which allows us to have access to infor- mation to keep up with the trends of the construction industry. NAHB (National Association of Home Builders), the ICAA (Insulation Contractors Association of America) and CSI Construction Specifications Institute are a few we have been a member of for some time. CM: What are you doing this year that's different from what you did last year? DM: We have quite a few new products that we are excited to promote at the International Builders' Show. The attic access/whole house fan insulators will be Insulation Solutions (Cont'd. from p. 1) very appealing to both homeowners and builders. You can see a live demo at our booth in the South Hall, #S1902. We also have a game-changing product called Nu-Age Films that we have recently introduced into the market. The feedback has been incredible! Anyone who uses poly will want to check it out. We are also showing our continuous insulation system, R-Wall, to address changing codes. We also have a new line of roofing and roof ventilation products. CM: What do you anticipate to be your greatest challenge in the year ahead? DM: I think one of the most important things to do in this industry is to listen to the input from the field. We are always looking for ways to make things easier for the installer. It's important to get feedback from people who are actually using our products so we know if we need to change or improve anything. CM: What makes you different from other companies? DM: We have a wide variety of prod- ucts, and our manufacturing capabili- ties allow us to provide customers with custom designs for unique applica- tions. We can create customer-specific labeling, sizes and colors. We are always looking for opportunities to expand our core capabilities. I am so proud of our staff, and of the company we have become. Everyone here at Insulation Solutions works to provide a positive experience for our cus- tomers. We strive to deliver service excellence, superior quality products and competitive pricing from a compa- ny customers can trust. That degree of readiness is also a real advantage when it comes to doing the job with ease and efficiency. It even lends itself to the professional appear- ance you want to portray for your cus- tomers. If you've been in business any time at all, you've probably compiled your own "job-ready" service vehicle – tools and supplies pulled together through the years, stacked in boxes and bins, or mounted with hooks and bungees wher- ever possible. It's not a bad system, and since you put it together, you probably know where everything is. Or do you? Does everyone else? For that matter, how much extra effort does it take to locate and check your gear before you hit the road? More importantly, what are the costs of uncertainty, inefficiency, or worse yet, finding out you don't have everything you need to complete a job? Fortunately, you can count on an industry leader to answer that question and deliv- er the solution. Morgan Corporation has been a truck body industry leader in innovative design and quality construction for more than 60 years. The good news is service- industry providers now have access to that experience and expertise through Morgan's new Service Pro, Mini- MoverPro, ProStake and dump bodies. In September 2014, Popular Mechanics named Generac's portable iX series 1,600-watt generator the best gen- erator for tailgating and recreation. In December 2014, This Old House listed the Guardian Synergy 20kW automatic home backup generator one of its Top 100 Best New Home Products of 2014. Also in 2014, Generac acquired and inte- grated Pramac America, renaming it Powermate America. Generac continued its stance as the market leader with the launch of the 22kW Guardian Series automatic home backup generator. The 22kW is the largest air-cooled generator available, and it provides homeowners with the best value per kilowatt available in the mar- ket. Until Generac's 2014 launch of the 22kW, air-cooled units were only avail- able up to 20kW. As the company moves into 2015, Generac continues to build category awareness of permanently installed auto- matic home backup generators. Too often homeowners are unaware a permanently installed option is available, mistakenly believing portable generators are the only choice. Unlike portable choices, auto- matic home backup generators turn on automatically as soon as power is lost and turn themselves off when power is Generac (Cont'd. from p. 1) restored, meaning life goes on uninter- rupted, even during severe storms and extended power outages. Generac's nationwide network of more than 5,000 installing dealers are all trained by Generac backup power experts. These dealers provide homeowners with details about the best, and most appropri- ate, backup system for each individual homeowner and their home's power needs. Authorized Generac dealers pro- vide interested homeowners with a written estimate and detailed installation explana- tion. Dealers will also help decide the optimal generator installation location. All of this is at no cost to the inquiring home- owner. Generac home backup generators are also available at Home Depot, Lowe's and online through Amazon.com. With more than 50 years of power generation expertise, Generac has the experience to keep homes and businesses safe and protected from the rising num- ber of power outages Americans experi- ence every year. The success of the company is the direct result of Generac's quality prod- ucts and innovative technology, com- bined with the training and support deal- ers receive. In addition, Generac offers a Builder Alliance Partnership. Generac protects the things that power your life by providing quality, affordable power solutions – no matter your budget.
