Questions that cross your mind on a typically busy day: Did I arm the alarm system at home? Did I close the garage door? My son needs his passport which is locked in the safe – how can I get him in the safe without giving him the combina- tion? I'm at the office but the kids forgot the key to the front door today – how can I arrange to unlock the door for them when they get home? Zoom Home Automation Systems by SecuRam makes all of these questions easy to answer. SecuRam Systems Inc., a company with a solid foundation in electronic engineering, access control, and safe and vault locks, has now brought its unique skill for innovative design and engineering to the home automation industry. The launch of Zoom Home Automation systems marks the intro- duction of the world's first Z-Wave safe lock system, along with other integrated security management devices for the SecuRam ( Cont'd. from p. 1) home. These security management devices can be connected and con- trolled by the Zoom hub or any Z-Wave compatible hub, allowing you remote app-based management. Secure your home by arming the alarm on your Zoom System. All perime- ter access to your home will be guarded and will report to you immediately if an intrusion takes place. Leave the garage door open? No problem – check the Zoom app, then press close. The door will automatically receive a signal from Zoom Cloud Services and close immediately. It's been a lot of fun bring- ing the ChargeHub to market this year. We're especially enjoying the enthusiasm with which the product has been embraced, both by retailers and by the consumers who are thrilled to have a way to charge a family's worth of devices from one power supply. The ChargeHub is a seven-port USB charging station. It plugs right into the wall through its own cord and can power up to seven devices simultaneously. The hub itself sits on a desk or table, and then the devices plug into it with their own USB cords. Another great feature is that the ChargeHub utilizes patent-pending SmartSpeed™ Technology to allow any port to charge the connected device at its maximum charging speed, regardless of whether it is an Apple iOS or Android device. We're a licensed Apple MFi Developer, by the way, so you'll find Apple's logo on our CableLinx™ USB charge and sync cable packaging, and you can be sure that ChargeHub is fully compatible with your Apple device. CEDN: What about those folks who don't have all their USB cords or who have devices that didn't come with USB cords in the package when they pur- chased them? RS: We actually thought of that too. If you don't have those cords, you can also purchase CableLinx from Limitless Innovations. Those are 3-1/2-inch charge and sync cables that are sold as an acces- sory to the ChargeHub. We have them in the four most common types on the mar- Limitless Innovations ( Cont'd. from p. 1) ket today, including Lightning™, 30-Pin, Micro and Mini to USB, so they'll accommodate the widest possible variety of devices. CEDN: Sounds like you've thought of just about everything. RS: We developed the ChargeHub after listening to users of our CableHub ® , which organizes up to seven cables, cords or wires at once while keeping them stabilized, protect- ed and tangle-free! CableHub reduces exposed cords for safety and conven- ience – you just wrap up to 10 feet of cables around the weighted disc and snap it shut. People loved that, but they told us that they'd love it even more if it had the ability to charge their devices as well. We listened and went right to work on that. Another thing that CableHub users told us they loved about the product is that it's easy to personalize; either by letting us print a name or logo to be added to the top of the CableHub, or by printing that out and adding it themselves. That's anoth- er feature that we kept when we devel- oped the ChargeHub. CEDN: What are the retail prices on these items? RS: The ChargeHub sells for $59.95 and is available for immediate shipment and its CableLinx accessories start at $7.95. The CableHub retails for $14.95. According to statistics released by the Department for Justice, a child is reported missing every 30 seconds in the U.S. It's every parent's worst nightmare, and something that many worry about on a daily basis. The Child Angel came into being as a result of the personal experi- ence of Founder Andrew Purcell. Purcell lost his young son in a shopping center after turning his back for just a few sec- onds, and without the location tracking technology now available, it was a truly nerve-shredding few moments for the panicked father. Luckily, Purcell was reunited with his son, but his experience led him to search for a product that would help other parents faced with the same situation. Purcell said, "We're thrilled to be launching Child Angel after three years of extensive research and prototyping. After the experience I had in a shopping center, I knew we had to take action and create a product that would give parents the peace of mind whenever out and about with their children. We've utilized cutting-edge location technology and a child friendly exterior to create this portable, lightweight and highly func- tional bracelet that could help to reunite Child Angel ( Cont'd. from p. 1) lost children with their parents." He added, "Once children are up on their feet, they naturally want to explore the world they live in – we don't want to shackle children or alter their inquisitive nature, we simply want to give parents that extra little confidence that there little ones are safe at all times of day, whether they're playing at home, on a day trip with school, on holiday or at a theme park." The Child Angel has a vast number of features that help to promote child safety. With a smart locator to help zone in on their location and the ability to set up an unlimited number of 'SafeZones' on the bracelet, the Child Angel ensures all bases are covered. The device can be paired with the smartphone and/or tablet of parents, and delivers an alert when a child leaves a SafeZone, or when they remove the bracelet. The bracelet has been designed to be as child compatible as possible, with the option to personalize the face plate with a range of clip-on accessories and coming in cute colors that kids will just love to wear. The rounded edges and plastic exterior make them perfectly safe to wear when playing, running, rolling, skipping, jumping and all of the other activities that your little angel loves to do. I've gained the experience and grown the vision for 30 years, but I'm really just another team member. I learned a great lesson from my father to listen more than I speak. This enables our company to engage with all forms of feedback. From concept to finalized product, I thrive on seeing perfection and looking forward to applauding my team when we fully execute a plan. CEDN: What is SLT? BW: SLT stands for having simple solutions with advanced technology, yet high quality and fast forward advancements. We pride ourselves on incredibly advanced designs backed by strong tech statements and specifi- cations. We want the user to have the best possible experience. CEDN: How is SLT unique? BW: We aim to get as close to the con- sumer as we possibly can. We are extraordinarily focused on delivering the best possible spec at the most aggressive pricing. Our interest is only in the highest quality items and developing a direct-to- consumer process via third party chan- nels. We're not a distributor, but rather an innovator. CEDN: How does SLT compare to its larger competition? BW: SLT is an entire lifestyle solution providing our audience with answers to everyday problems. Wearable tech, at home mobile solutions, on the go audio, desktop audio, beach, personal items, office items – we don't believe Simple Living ( Cont'd. from p. 1) in limitations. CEDN: You have an office in Hong Kong. Why manufacture in China? BW: The SLT team in China is just as much a part of SLT as our Florida team members. Quality control and assurance is a top priority for us and those needs are best met in China. While product design, development and ideas are born here in the U.S.A., our China team keeps us in line with global tech trends, conducts inspections and hosts interested cus- tomers for factory quality audits. CEDN: What do you plan to accomplish at the 2015 International CES ® ? BW: To absolutely shock and blow away any industry buyer with our high perform- ance products and with our product posi- tioning. Why buy more expensive items from companies with similar products? We've built deep relationships with com- ponent manufactures facilitating break- throughs in product design and develop- ment. Our experience and one-of-a-kind strategy allow us to deliver solutions of equal or greater quality at better pricing. CEDN: What are SLT's plans for next year? BW: Complete transparency and engage- ment with our users. We want to create a culture where people can say they own an SLT product and are 100 percent satis- fied. Our goal is not only to solve a user's single issue, but to foster engagement and a sense of community. Visit Simple Living Technology at booth #35423.
