Kitchenware News & Housewares Review Show Daily 2 3 Sunday, March 15, 2020 The Sponge for Sponge Haters Sponges are gross and consumers deserve better. That's where DishFish comes in. DishFish stands up to other household cleaning tools with a line of powerful, multipurpose sponges, and non-scratch scrubbers that's preferred by 92 percent of sponge users. Along with its GoFish product line that's ideal for cars, boats and motorcycles, these sponges are designed to clean cleaner, while staying fresh and odor-free longer. Engineered by cleanrooms special- ists, DishFish and GoFish are made with PowerCell Technology™, which attacks grease and grime without scratching sen- sitive surfaces, and ForeverFresh Foam™, which allows for greater absorbency while resisting bacterial odors, mold and mildew. The flow- through cell design yields a powerful scrubber sponge that's up to 10 times stronger than the leading scrubber sponge, and the unique patented fish shape allows it to stand on its tail to dry quicker. "We had consumers who typically don't use sponges try the DishFish," said Jim Kordenbrock, the DishFish Founder. The results were sur- prising – the sponge haters actually liked the DishFish. The revolutionary DishFish is changing atti- tudes about sponges for several reasons. The shape is functional and the DishFish will not smell like a typical sponge as it stands on its tail to drain. It is also designed to drain and release excess water, preventing bacterial odors you get from typical sponges. This is the first c o n s u m e r - p r o d u c t line from Foamtec International, a leader with more than 22 years of expertise in manufacturing high- tech foam. This product is perfect for your sponge-hating consumers looking for a cleaning tool that won't stink, and will save time and effort to clean their home and vehicles. SecuGen's Ultra-Compact, High Quality Fingerprint Reader, Hamster Pro 10 By Jeff Brown, Vice President of Sales, SecuGen Corporation What is Hamster Pro 10? The Hamster Pro 10 is a sleek and ultra- slim USB fingerprint reader. It is the slimmest and most compact of SecuGen's line of fingerprint scanners. Despite an attractive low price, it is FBI certified for high image quality called for by FIPS 201 PIV and Mobile ID FAP 10 environments. As our customers expect, the Hamster Pro 10 is another high-quality fingerprint reader. Inside the Hamster Pro 10, we completely re-engineered and patented an innovative fingerprint mod- ule that makes it the smallest FAP 10 optical sensor in the industry that also meets the stringent image quality stan- dards of the FBI. The clean, low-profile design of the case of the Hamster Pro 10 is a 'tour de force' unlike any of its pred- ecessors, and our partners love the new product. How do I work with it? The Hamster Pro 10 is compatible with a range of SecuGen's free software devel- opment kits that allow developers to cre- ate applications for use on Windows, Linux and Android. We also offer SDK plugins for other environments that are compatible with Hamster Pro 10, includ- ing Microsoft Remote Desktop and Citrix. If you're not a developer, you can use the Hamster Pro 10 right out of the box with Windows Hello for convenient fingerprint login to Windows 10 computers. What does this say about us? We are continually expanding our product line in response to the requirements of our partners. Our focus is, and has always been, to design and deliver products that can help our partners succeed in the marketplace. The Hamster Pro 10 continues this focus as the demand remains for high quality opti- cal fingerprint scanners that are thinner and more compact than ever before. Suttle: Innovation and Simplification Builders and developers know that to command premium returns, buildings must be gigabit ready, WiFi optimized, easy and automated. While technology continues to simplify our lives, the instal- lation process and integration seems to be going in the opposite direction. The easi- er it is to use the technology, the more challenging its installation and proper configuration become. This is a primary issue that Suttle has solved. Suttle is dedicated to simplifying construction and removing guesswork from shipment, installation and the con- figuration process of the home network. With this in mind, Suttle has designed a comprehensive connectivity platform that easily connects intelligent home devices such as security cameras, wireless access points, utility sensors or entertainment Internet of Things (IoT) products and allows all of them to oper- ate reliably even when the power is out. This Intelligent Home Connectivity solu- tion integrates active Power-over- Ethernet (PoE) and an Uninterruptible Power Supply (UPS) into a single remotely managed hardware and software platform. These active PoE and UPS devices are designed to help developers offer a living unit that satisfies the most demanding and "always-con- nected" tech-savvy group of tenants. The system is also branded as "Contractor- Grade" – a contractor-friendly solution aimed at providing a maximum ease of installation, replicability and scalability. "While PoE and UPS are not new concepts, we undertook a huge effort to integrate them in a way that offers a sig- nificant relief to the home developer and installer projects. Everything is carefully designed to fit and work out of a single media panel, so the time to design, build and install a smart con- nected home is dramatically reduced," said Sev Sadura, General Manager of Suttle. "This is just the begin- ning. We have worked closely with the developer and contractor com- munities and we will be introducing a new set of solutions in 2020," Sadura added. Snap Pak Hot Box Debuts at Show An interview with Ed Spitaletta, Chief Executive Officer, StoreMaxx Inc. ® , cre- ator of Snap Pak ® , the original meal prep container. KNSD: You were on the team that invented the Clip Strip ® in 1979. Tell our readers about that. ES: My dad is actually the inventor of the Clip Strip. I led the team responsi- ble for implementing the functional development and practical application at the retail level. We used an old Pathmark store as test bed for the even- tual patent. Clip Strip changed the entire retail cross merchandising land- scape and began the P.O.P. industry in earnest. KNSD: What separates StoreMaxx from its competitors? ES: StoreMaxx is a unique supplier in today's environment. In spite of our rapid success, we remain and will continue to remain a boutique shop style vendor will- ing to customize our programs to fit a customer's business model. KNSD: What was the genesis for offer- ing foodservice containers for retail? ES: It was my wife. She would always wash our takeout containers and save them one by one, claiming they were her favorite containers. After a marketing study offered posi- tive results, StoreMaxx was born. KNSD: What separates Snap Pak from the other available options people have? ES: We distance ourselves from our competition through a commitment to best-in-class quality at value pricing, and Made in the USA with a Q-4 expansion plan. KNSD: Where is Snap Pak sold? ES: Our market strategy is strong trading partnerships with America's big box chain stores. Our e-commerce business is booming and now we have an opportunity to expand into new markets like foodser- vice. KNSD: Anything new and exciting com- ing out in the food container category this year? ES: In keeping with our tradition of inventing and innovating, we are intro- ducing the Snap Pak Hot Box ® at the show. The Hot Box is a dual walled con- tainer with a thermal heat pack that heats the water in the well, which in turn heats your food. Come see the Hot Box at booth #S224! For more information, stop by South Hall booth #S224.
