Kitchenware News & Housewares Review Show Daily Sunday, March 15, 2020 8 Perfect Sleeve Ironing Helper An immaculately ironed shirt, especially with perfect symmetrical, laser-straight creases, is a thing of beauty. For formal wear, business meetings or special occa- sions, you want your shirt to look like it was pressed by a professional. Nothing stands out more than badly creased sleeves with blurred, wavy lines that break in the middle, or the ultimate fail- ure – 'tram lines' that can be seen from across a room. You can get perfect sleeves in seconds, every time, with the all-new award-winning Perfect Sleeve. Sleeves are the hardest to iron and they never come out like the drycleaner shirts. Until now. Perfect Sleeve is a stainless steel fork that lets you create laser straight and symmetrical creases effortlessly, and it allows you to iron both sides at once. Just slide it into the cuff end of the sleeve, then let go. The spring- loaded form pushes the sleeve flat and taut, eliminating the wrinkles that cause so much frustration. It's perfect for shirts, blouses and sweaters from XS to 3XL as well as children's pants. It includes a magnet for on-board storage. It is about 23 inches by 5.5 inches. Perfect Sleeve is a 2018 gia Global Innovations Awards final- ist in product design excellence. Regardless of whether you prefer a smooth sleeve or one with a crease, the important thing is that you are ironing your shirt to begin with. As tempting as it may be to have shirts profession- ally laundered, it is important to note that dry cleaners use indus- trial washers and dryers as well as large pressing machines. This manufacturer's take on laundering clothing does not take into account fabric or color, let alone buttons that may be affected by high-heat, high- pressure industrial irons. The best thing you can do for the lifespan of your dress shirts, as well as your appearance, is to launder your shirts on your own and press them using good old-fashioned elbow grease. New Dripless Cutting Board from Karving King An interview with Kenneth King, Chief Executive Officer of Karving King and inventor of the Karving King Dripless Cutting Board 2-in-1 System. KNSD: Tell our readers about the Karving King 2-in-1 System Dripless Cutting Board. KK: Our dripless cutting board has a drainage system which collects the juices when carving meats, fruits and vegeta- bles. It's designed to answer the need for a no-mess carving solution and not only cuts the mess, but also eliminates the stress when carving everything from turkeys and roasts to fruits and vegeta- bles. All of the liquid juices are collected in the drip tray instead of on kitchen countertops and floors, making for a sig- nificantly improved cooking experience. To make it a complete 2-in-1 system, we also provide a chopping board. KNSD: How long did it take to develop, and what was the process? KK: The 2-in-1 system has been in design development, testing and proofing for about four years. The Inspired Home Show has been an outstanding resource for us to get feedback on the design and utility of the system. Our production facility is located in Georgia, so we have complete control over raw materials and quality. KNSD: How large is the cutting board? KK: It's considered a very large capac- ity cutting board at 21.5 inches by 13.5 inches by 3 inches high. The carving surface can accommodate the largest of roasts and turkeys as well as huge watermelons. KNSD: What other features make the 2- in-1 system unique? KK: Spikes hold the food in place during carving, a removable drip drawer collects juices which can be reused, easy grip han- dles make moving the board easy and non-slip rubber feet keep the board firmly in place. In addition, Karving King has added a new supplemental cut- ting board for chopping. KNSD: What is the cutting board made of? KK: Our cutting board is made of a BPA- free polyethylene, so it is bacteria-resis- tant, unlike wood boards. The Karving King Dripless Cutting Board 2-in-1 System is dishwasher-safe and requires no special cleaning products after use. Because it can go in the dishwasher, it's also ideal for cutting up raw meat and fish. KNSD: What colors are available? KK: We have three col- ors: red, blue and green, which along with the contemporary design will enhance any kitchen or outdoor cooking space. KNSD: Is there a warran- ty? KK: We offer a 12-month warranty on any defective parts. I am proud to say we have an outstanding track record on qual- ity which we attribute to our quality in manufacturing. KNSD: What is the return policy? KK: We have a 30-day return policy from the date of purchase.
