Aftermarket Daily News 7 3 Friday, November 4, 2016 detergents with steam at the same time that are nonstop from up to three steam hoses. The built in steam vacuum cleaner allows you to steam wash upholstery without pur- chasing an additional upholstery cleaner. A 7-inch touchscreen display shows current fluid levels (water, diesel, detergents), cur- rent pressure in the boiler, serial number and hour meter. The heart of Fortador is the boiler and the burner, which is custom made for us by Lamborghini. The high quality of the combustion system and the low diesel consumption enables an even faster return on investment. ADN: What is your goal for the show? LT: Our goal is to introduce the Fortador Cleaning System to America. ADN: What is your company most proud of? LT: We are extremely proud to partner with Lamborghini for the creation of the first steamer for the detailing business that has outstanding working parameters and a touchscreen. ADN: Are you launching any new prod- ucts this year? Fortador (Cont'd. from p. 1) LT: As mentioned earlier, we are launch- ing the new Fortador Pro S Steamer with a very special price ($6,499) per unit with Lamborghini burner inside. We are also launching our Steam Wash app in the Apple store and through Google Play, available for all of our customers to run their business. ADN: Who are your target customers? LT: Our customers include individual detailers, car wash operators and vehicle dealerships. ADN: How do your products or services help your customers compete in their marketplace? LT: The value of Lamborghini as a partner is difficult to beat. That value, along with the best features of steam pressure (232 psi), which is the high- est in class in safe time, and our excel- lent software solution help our cus- tomers in their relationship with con- sumers. ESSA AUTOSPORT NOW BOOSTED BY BORGWARNER EFR TURBOCHARGERS An interview with Michael Essa, driver and Owner of Essa Autosport in Anaheim, California. ADN: How long have you been involved in drift racing? ME: I've been racing since I was 17 and opened Essa Autosport in 2001. When I'm not racing or optimizing other race- cars, I'm on the track helping Porsche racers and other drift drivers perfect their driving skills. Racing is what it's all about. ADN: What car are you racing this sea- son? ME: We're going back to the same chas- sis we used to win the championship in 2013 – a 3.2-liter BMW M3 S54 – but now boosted by a BorgWarner EFR™ turbocharger. In February, we installed an EFR-9174 for the first time. It worked really well, but with our high compres- sion, high revving, 6 cylinder, we needed more air flow. We switched to an EFR- 9180 recently, and picked up more power and torque. ADN: What do you like best about BorgWarner's EFR (Engineered For Racing) turbochargers? ME: It's the combination of things. Right out of the box, we noticed that the tur- bocharger is quite a bit lighter than other turbos of comparable size. In racing, we're always looking for weight savings. Once on the car, the response was insane! Spool up was much faster than any other tur- bocharger we've used before. Producing so much power in such a small package is pretty impressive. ADN: In addition to rac- ing your own car, Essa Autosport maintains, optimizes and man- ages about 50 other racecars. Do you rec- ommend EFR turbochargers to them? ME: We absolutely recommend EFR tur- bochargers! We've had zero issues, even though we are constantly pushing the limits – within the parameters given by the engineers, of course. We watch the data, and the specs are spot on. Whether you're driving a street car or racecar, you can definitely rely on these turbocharg- ers. They are incredibly efficient. EFR turbochargers make more power and react quicker than anything we've tested before. Before EFR turbocharg- ers, you had to sacrifice overall power to get faster spool up or vice versa. EFR is best of both worlds. ADN: How is the season going? ME: The season is going well! We placed second at the Motegi Racing Super Drift Challenge during the Toyota Grand Prix of Long Beach and are looking forward to finishing the sea- son in Irwindale. We made a lot of changes to the car this year – cooling, tires, chassis and of course, the EFR tur- bocharger. We're getting better and better every round. GALAXY EXPANDS ITS SOLID TIRE LINE Galaxy tires from the Alliance Tire Group (ATG) have earned a global rep- utation for quality, performance and great return on investment thanks to tires that are purpose-built for the real- world challenges of construction, industrial and OTR job sites. Over the past year, the broad Galaxy brand has extended into a bold new line of solid tires primarily for forklifts, skid steers and wheel loaders, dubbed the Galaxy SDS (Severe Duty Solid) series. The Galaxy SDS solid tires bring celebrated Galaxy high-performance tread designs to the most punishing applications in the industry – from waste handling facilities to scrapyards to quarries. Wear-resistant, chip-resist- ant compounds extend service life and virtually eliminate downtime. Most Galaxy SDS solid tires are available with or without apertures. Diverse Applications "For decades, our Galaxy pneumatic OTR tires have been leaders in the industry for construction, industrial and other tough applications – both as OE fitments and replacement tires," says Seth Walters, Specialty Projects Manager for Alliance Tire Americas. "Now, we've upped the ante with our Galaxy SDS solid line for literally the very toughest challenges on earth, where conditions are severe and downtime isn't an option. "What we're seeing is great inter- est not only in the kinds of puncture- prone applications where you'd expect to see solids, like scrapyards handling facilities, but also in uses like dairy farms, where constant turning and braking on concrete can lead to exces- sive wear," Walters notes. "We're find- ing that people are putting these Galaxy SDS tires to work in a wide range of ways and seeing great performance and outstanding return on investment. "It's also exciting to see that the world's largest skid steer tire lineup just got larger," he adds. Growing Line Over the past year, ATG has steadily added to the Galaxy SDS line, and the growth continues. Currently, the line includes: Beefy Baby SDS R-4; LHD 500 SDS L-5; Super-Smooth LDS L-5; and YardMaster SDS.
