Aftermarket Daily News Friday, November 4, 2016 3 4 WEATHERTECH EXPANDS TECHCARE LINE IN 2016 WeatherTech TechCare is a compete line of automotive care and cleaning prod- ucts. Developed with dedication to sus- tainability and superior care, TechCare products are made from only the highest quality materials for accessories and advanced formulas for their liquid appli- cations. The TechCare line of car care products provides the ultimate clean and professional finish expected of the WeatherTech name. In 2016, TechCare has expanded with many innovative accessories to help enhance the offerings of the line for a full package of products. Through testing, research and a great deal of trial and error, WeatherTech was able to seek out the highest quality materials to use in its accessory products included in the TechCare line. These new additions include the Soaker, WaterBlade, Wash Mitt and Ready-to-Wash System. The Soaker is an exciting new acces- sory for drying vehicles, without leaving any streaking or lint behind. Quickly soaking up water, the Soaker holds up to 50 percent more liquid than a regular towel or chamois. The synthetic material is superior to a standard chamois or ter- rycloth and features a smooth surface on one side and textured on the other for dif- ferent drying needs. The reusable drying towel is machine wash- able and is sold in a cus- tom developed box engi- neered specifically to help keep the product long lasting and of high quality. The next addition to the line is the WaterBlade that features a non-scratch silicone blade with a patent- ed T-Bar edge that significantly reduces drying time. Virtually safe for all paint finishes, surfaces and more, the WaterBlade dries a vehicle in one-third of the time and with 15 times less friction than a terrycloth or microfiber towel. Additional accessory additions to the TechCare line are the Wash Mitt and Ready-to-Wash Bucket System. The Wash Mitt is a professional quality mitt that easily lifts and traps grime away from the vehicle. Made from heavy-duty, long- wearing Lorene synthetic fibers that carry an abun- dance of soap and water, the Wash Mitt is a perfect accessory to buy along with the Ready-to-Wash System all-in-one bucket system that includes the essential tools for helping to provide a vehicle with a professional clean. The system includes a bucket, Roll & Wash dolly, vented lid, GritGrate insert to keep debris away from cleaning tools and a MittSaver wash mitt holder. PACESETTER NOW OFFERS COMPLETE LINE OF DIRECT-FIT CATALYTIC CONVERTERS PaceSetter, a leading designer and manu- facturer of quality-made, affordably priced performance headers and exhaust systems since 1972, now offers direct-fit catalytic converters for the replacement aftermarket. The Phoenix-based compa- ny is capitalizing on its long-standing ability to design and fabricate parts that fit and perform according to require- ments and design. Direct-fit catalytic converters are a perfect match for this capability. All PaceSetter direct-fit catalytic converters are assembled in the U.S. and use their own EPA-approved catalytic converters with the EPA-specified war- ranty. They use a mandrel-bent tubular design with stainless steel construction, including the converter bodies. The CNC-machined flanges are matched to the factory designs to ensure a perfect fit every time. Most PaceSetter direct-fit catalytic converters have the mounts attached for reinstallation of the factory heat shields, a feature not found in many aftermarket catalytic converter products. PaceSetter's direct-fit catalytic con- verter program includes three categories of product: direct-fit undercar catalytic converter systems, direct-fit pre-cat (Pot) converters and direct-fit manifold con- verters. All three utilize converter sub- strate loadings that are higher than the norm in order for the installer to be assured of top converter per- formance to keep the car, truck or SUV from coming back for repeated service on the same problem – keeping the check engine light off! Of course, if a vehicle's check engine light comes on, the reason for that condition must be identified and fixed before any replacement converter is installed. If not, the same problem may continue to show itself. It should be understood by all involved that a con- verter has no moving parts and, if it should "fail," it will be long after the fac- tory warranty is reached. The aftermarket warranty specified by EPA is two years or 25,000 miles on the substrate (core) of the converter and five years or 50,000 miles for the converter case and sur- rounding structure (inlet and or outlet). Even though PaceSetter's expertise spans a 44-year period in the perform- ance aftermarket, make no mistake – these direct-fit catalytic con- verters are true replacement parts. The manifolds are tubular in design (there are no heavy castings to crack) and designed to match the flow of the stock manifold as closely as possible. The undercar systems utilize the stock tubing size diameters, but where a factory (OEM) or other direct fit replace- ment part from another manufacturer may restrict flow because of muffler shop-type "press" bends, PaceSetter's undercar assemblies give you more effi- cient mandrel bends. Unbolt the defec- tive piece, bolt-on the PaceSetter! You can see many examples of PaceSetter's direct-fit catalytic convert- ers by visiting their SEMA booth #22629 and talking with the technical or sales representatives in attendance.
