K i t ch e n w a r e N e w s & H o u s e w a r e s R e v i e w S h o w D a i l y 1 0 5 S u n d a y, M a r ch 6 , 2 0 1 6 AM: La Crosse Technology ® was found- ed in 1983 and introduced atomic clocks to the U.S. market in 1991. La Crosse Technology continues to be an industry leader and pacesetter in atomic time and weather instruments. We offer a wide variety of easy-to-use and innovative products such as weather stations, tradi- tional weather products, atomic and dec- orative clocks, and remote monitoring systems. KNSD: What is new and exciting for 2016? AM: We have a unique opportunity to pioneer new products and designs with our own in-house design team. With our headquarters in La Crosse, Wisconsin, we are consistently researching and developing new innovative ideas. For 2016, we've been placing a great deal of emphasis on connected/"smart" items. Our La Crosse Alerts Mobile System has undergone a variety of upgrades to ensure its reliability is unsurpassed. KNSD: Tell our readers about La Crosse Alerts Mobile. AM: La Crosse Alerts Mobile is a remote temperature and humidity monitoring system. The kit comes with a sensor and gateway that allows you to view temper- ature and humidity data on your phone. The sensor "speaks" to the gateway (which is connected to the consumer's internet router) and provides real-time L a C ro sse Techno lo gy (C o nt'd. fro m p. 1 ) data. The system also allows for you to receive alerts when the temperature or humidity surpasses customizable MIN/MAX levels (this service is $0.99/month extra). One of our more popular items is our water leak detector kit; this system uses a water sensor pad to detect wet conditions and alerts con- sumers before significant damage hap- pens. With a five-minute setup time and low cost of entry, anyone can monitor what is important to him or her while away from home. KNSD: Where do you suggest using this system? AM: La Crosse Alerts Mobile is perfect for second homeowners, business proper- ty owners and frequent snowbirds that can rely on an accurate device to monitor their home, aquarium, hot tub, green- house, sump pump or anything sensitive to temperature, humidity or water. The monitoring provided by this system ensures peace-of-mind and takes the worry out of not knowing what is going on in your home. All of the products La Crosse Technology produces are designed, developed, tested and used by our team to ensure reliability and to fix any issues that may arise. La Crosse Alerts Mobile is a staple in every one of our employees' and family's homes. Visit La Crosse Technology at booth #L13307-13309. From its Ojai, California office, Messermeister is inspired every day to produce high quality, long lasting kitchen knives and accessories. From sourcing the finest wood to the most durable hard- ware and German steel, every detail in its goods is thoughtfully planned and craft- ed, so the birth of the Royale Elite comes as no surprise. The idea first originated from the use of Black Walnut on guns to create the finest gunstocks for hundreds of years – the beautiful combination of steel and wood. With the most exquisite material at its fingertips, Messermeister introduces gunstock grade Californian Walnut burl handles on the finest German hot drop hammer forged stain- less steel blades. Each Royale Elite knife is handcrafted one at a time in Solingen, Germany. No two handles are the same, creating truly one of a kind unique works of art that can be passed Messermeister (C o nt'd. fro m p. 1 ) along as family heirlooms for hundreds of years. Messermeister rolls with adversity and change as a way of life. However, some things don't have to change. Messermeister is committed to design- ing and crafting unique culinary prod- ucts one at a time in small batches. In a world of mass production and large fac- tories, it is important to the world econ- omy that some brands balance the scale by using small family owned and oper- ated makers to produce many of their products. The idea is as simple as farm to table. Put the hearts of the craftsmen into the hands of the everyday chef. That is what makes Messermeister dif- ferent from the competition and the type of company that will continue to hold its core values. The Knife for Life! Visit Messermeister at booth #S1826. The Whole Slow Juicer CHEF expands the Whole Slow Juicer line from Kuvings, a company founded in 1978 spe- cializing in kitchen electronics for health and nutrition-conscious consumers. The popular Whole Slow Juicer has garnered enthusiastic reviews from juicing experts and has been positively reviewed by Consumer Reports and other media. The Whole Slow Juicer CHEF is specially designed for home juicing enthusiasts, health food stores and retail applications. This commercial-ready slow juicer can tackle the toughest pro- duce, due to its powerful 200-watt motor with the highest torque in the industry. The heavy-duty brushless motor crushes ingredients with ease while minimizing friction and noise, for cool, quiet and sta- ble operation. The CHEF can extract juice from any produce, such as spinach, apples, kale, lemon and ginger continuously for up to eight hours at 50 rpm. It can yield up to 1,000 glasses of fresh juice, making this slow juicer ideal for restaurants and juice bars. The easy access 3.5-inch opening K uvings (C o nt'd. fro m p. 1 ) allows putting in ingredients without much cutting. This not only means faster and convenient processing, but also means preventing unwanted oxidation from cut- ting that often causes a loss in nutritional value. As the ingredients glide down the feeding tube, the patented low-speed mas- ticating system extracts the nutrients in fruits and vegetables, enabling the body to obtain four times more nutrition than by eating fruits whole. Its large-capacity 500ml bowl han- dles big batches and comes with a con- venient Smart Cap to prevent drips. The Smart Cap also enables creation of mixed juices and makes it easy to rinse the juicer between making different recipes. The chrome-finished body with its modern square design will be a welcome addition to any kitchen. Other features include a dual safety system that ensures proper assembly and air ventilation design to prevent the juicer from over- loading. All parts disassemble and can be easily washed by hand with the specially designed cleaning tools. The exclusive full color recipe book is included. Visit Kuvings at booth #L12539.
