Experts in kitchen measurement tools, the company is introducing new ther- mometers and colorful, easy-to-use timers. A convenient tool for successful roasting or grilling, the CDN LED Probe Thermometer/Timer (LT392) lets you know when your meat is rare, medium rare, medium or well done. This fully featured thermometer/timer combo stands out for its pre-pro- grammed doneness stages that are illu- minated by color coded LEDs. It meas- ures both temperature (100 to 392 degrees Fahrenheit) and time (up to 99 minutes by minutes). Once the cooking temperature reaches 100 degrees Fahrenheit, the LED display automati- cally lights up and continuously dis- plays the current cooking temperature and doneness stage. It can also function as a count-down timer, and it features last count recall, a convenience for repetitive batch cooking. A CDN first, the best-selling ProAccurate ® Digital Thermometer (DT392-1.7) is now available with an exclu- sive 1.7mm thin tip. This NSF- certified ther- mometer features simple one-button operation for measuring the internal tem- perature of meats, poultry and fish for perfect culinary results. Made from food- safe plastic with a stainless-steel stem, it has a convenient temperature guide on the sheath, which doubles as a handle extension. CDN's new timers tie in with the trend toward compact products that are suited for smaller kitchens and take up OASIS CONCEPTS INTRODUCES INNOVATIVE LINE OF FOLDING KITCHEN ISLANDS & NEW PRODUCTS A folding kitchen island and other brand new storage products built based on a patented precision-hinge folding mecha- nism are now available for sale by Oasis Concepts. The X-Large Flip & Fold Island is one of the most popular models. It opens up to 42 inches wide by 24 inches deep by 36 inches high. It has a stainless steel top and frame, with one solid hardwood shelf. The other popular model is the Flip & Fold Island, which opens up to 30 inches by 20.5 inches by 36 inches high. The top and shelf are both made of solid hardwood and the frame is made of stain- less steel. Both of these models come with four lockable wheels. When not in use, they can be folded up to just 5 inches thick for easy stow-away. "Nowadays, the kitchen is a space that can be used for entertaining guests and a place for the family to come togeth- er and enjoy each o t h e r ' s c o m p a n y . The kitchen island becomes very important because it provides a social space in the home where everybody hangs out.
