It has become increas- ingly difficult to maintain these standards with traditional connector surfaces due to longer exposure time to salt (30 days) and corrosion inducing gas (SO 2 and NO 2 ). In the past, surface treatments that met these requirements have had an envi- ronmental impact and compromised per- formance and cost. The new HEP 2 R plat- ing offered by Radiall provides a variety of benefits and meets the following cor- rosion standards: Corrosion stan- dards supported by Radiall HEP 2 R include: ASTM B117; ASTM G85; ISO21207, Method B 5 Cycles; and MIL STD 202G, method 106. Benefits of Radiall HEP2R surface treatment include: low passive Intermodulation; low VSWR; low con- tact resistance; low insertion loss; high solderability; high mating endurance; RoHS and REACH compliant; allergy friendly; and applicable to a wide range of Radiall connec- tor series (ie. 7/16, 4.3-10, QLI, 4.1- 9.5, SMARTN, N- Type and others). For excellent performance in harsh outdoor environments at a competitive cost, rely on Radiall's new HEP2R plat- ing. MORE ON THE MIND BEHIND MADSTAR MOBILE Other MVNOs in the wireless industry are addressing all the wrong questions, according to David Pearsall, Founder and CEO of Madstar Mobile. "This industry is what, 15 years young? It's in its infan- cy still. It's barely a teenager and like most teenagers, it thinks it knows all of the answers but it's addressing the wrong questions," he said. "There are four jug- gernauts in the business who are attempt- ing to build the standards and rules which aren't always clear or in the best interest of the consumer." Pearsall himself was once one of those consumers who had accepted egre- gious multi-year contracts and their exor- bitant early termination fees, he said. "If a wireless carrier was as good as they say, then why would they need to lock you into a long term contract? Always remember that what you allow is what will continue until you decide to do something about it." "This question should be asked: If your wireless carrier is just now offering you double the data at half the price, does that mean you were previously double charged, or that you were only provided half of what you paid for and deserved?" he continued. Pearsall is insistent that business and customer service are no place for medi- ocrity. "We work every day to prove that our customers made the right choice and are smart cost-conscious consumers. We have put our vision into motion, which demands intelligent action and courage from everyone at Madstar Mobile," he said. "We have every tool to com- pete and win and are just grateful for this opportu- nity to serve people. Madstar Mobile now stands toe to toe with these Goliaths of this industry, and we are willing and able to fight for a place within in an effort to provide choice and save our sub- scribers' money." GOODMAN NETWORKS: PARTNERING TO PROVIDE SOLUTIONS AS ITS NETWORKS EVOLVE The next few years will be a period of technological evolution for the wireless telecommunications industry, predicts Ron Hill, CEO and Chairman of Goodman Networks, an end to end net- work service provider for major wireless carriers including ATT, Sprint and Verizon, as well as OEMs, cable and satellite TV providers, and major enter- prise customers like universities and pro- fessional sports venues. The wireless industry will continue to grow, but it will be at a different pace than we've seen in recent years as the major carriers complete their 4G LTE build-outs and start looking towards the next network lifecycle, according to Hill. "The network has enough of the gear, but we've got to add capacity that will be needed to accommodate the data for more advanced video streaming and IoT applications. People want to be able to watch full-length movies on their phones or in their cars. We need to be able to pro- vide that kind of capacity anywhere, any- time, without disruption," he said. As the industry evolves to meet those consumer demands, Hill expects to see continued consolidation, possibly among major wireless carriers and most certainly among the vendors and subcon- tractors that provide services to them. That consolidation will be heavily influ- enced by the availability of spectrum and the band signal that accrues to compa- nies able to acquire a greater share of that limited resource. "As carriers acquire a greater share of the spectrum, that gives them the ability to better man- age throughput, upload and download speed, overall capacity expan- sion," Hill said. "You've got to have spectrum to provide quality wire- less service." With the FCC auction for broadcast spectrum coming up in early 2016, carri- ers will be able to put their lower-end traffic on that spectrum, moving the transmission for voice and cable televi- sion off their current network, which will open up that bandwidth for higher-end transmissions, according to Hill. "It will give carriers more flexibility in how they use their spectrum and also the opportu- nity to better manage the total cost of ownership of the network," he said. As the stronger carriers are able to acquire a greater share of the spectrum, Hill expects to see the weaker players struggle in the marketplace, which will flow down to affect the vendors and subcontractors who are not able to scale up their capabilities to meet the needs of the stronger players. Goodman Networks will not be one of those com- panies that falls by the wayside, he said. "Goodman differenti- ates itself from competi- tors by having the ability to build the tower but also having the back-end net- work engineers to put traffic on that tower. By contrast, our competitors have engineers who can do minor installa- tions and low-level engineering, but Goodman has a unique capability with its staff of high-end network engineers who have built the major networks that are in place today," he said. "Goodman Networks is unique in that we already have the scale and the end-to-end capa- bilities to help our customers position themselves securely in this very com- petitive environment to add capacity and re-engineer their networks to meet the evolving needs of the end user." REVOLUTIONARY PAYMENT TECHNOLOGY – NEVER LOSE YOUR CARDS AGAIN You may or may not have heard about a comparatively small, but highly innova- tive tech company called NXT-ID. They've been busily developing their Wocket ® biometric smart wallet since long before consumers had ever heard of Apple Pay. NXT-ID Inc. saw the evolu- tion of the payment industry before it happened and stepped up to the plate. So if you haven't heard the name, pay atten- tion – this smart security company is about to change the way we think about wallets forever. NXT-ID Inc. was recently listed on NASDAQ (NXTD and NXTDW), mak- ing its debut to technology investors that realize the payments industry as we know it is evolving. Smart money is looking for the next game-changer. The founders of NXT-ID predicted consumers asking, "Why do we need to carry a wallet full of plastic cards and cash to handle day-to-day com- merce?" This massive opportunity has been virtually untapped, and while most of its competitors are targeting payments tied to mobile phones, NXT- ID is doing something quite special. Wocket™, its next generation smart wallet, is designed to replace your tra- ditional wallet along with all the cards you carry in it, without requiring a smartphone or internet connection. NXT-ID saw the need for protect- ing your identity, making secure pay- ments and replacing all your credit cards, gift cards and ID with one sin- gle, secure card. The team's back- ground in biometric security enabled them to approach the product develop- ment with an advanced knowledge of the threats that consumers may face in the future and the best ways to protect against them. This security-first think- ing led the team to create a revolution- ary wallet that they are calling the "smartest wallet you'll ever own." Analysts following the stock are bullish, with several "outperforms" if the company meets its 2015 mile- stones. Behind the scenes, the compa- ny's technology team is working on the next evolution of its Wocket, knowing the payment industry is not standing still. All the tech leaders are entering the digital wallet market; with its first mover advantage and standout team, NXT-ID Inc. aims to build on its success by put- ting Wockets in the pockets of people everywhere. The Wocket works anywhere credit cards are accepted and only works with your biometric stamp of approval. Learn more about the product and how you can order one for yourself at www.wocket- wallet.com. For more information, go to www. nxt-id.com.
