K i t c h e n w a r e N e w s & H o u s e w a r e s R e v i e w S h o w D a i l y 1 0 5 Tu e s d a y, M a r c h 0 5 , 2 0 1 3 of its hugely successful European heat and froth machine—the aerolatte com- pact. The aerolatte compact is a mains electrical machine which both heats and froths one to two cups of milk for perfect cappuccinos, hot chocolates and other milky drinks. The eponymous aerolatte hand-held, battery-operated milk frother was a cate- gory-defining invention that brought cap- puccino making into the home by allow- ing consumers to froth a mug of a milk heated in a microwave, ready to add their own shot of coffee. The aerolatte com- pact now skips the microwave step. It's a jug into which you pour cold milk. Switch it on and about 90 seconds later you're left with enough hot, thick, milk froth for one or two mugs of coffee-shop quality cappuccino. But not everyone drinks coffee solo or with just one friend, which is why aerolatte is launching the aerolatte com- pact at the International Home + Housewares Show together with the aerolatte grande, a version of the same machine which makes double the amount of milk foam to provide cappuccinos for aerolatte (Con't. from p. 1) up to four cups at a time. Aerolatte ltd. are specialists in milk frothing and assure that a bigger machine doesn't just mean a larger pot. Aerolatte had to develop a new heating mechanism and special motor circuitry to keep the milk frothing right up to the perfect tem- perature of 150 degrees Fahrenheit for milk froth. Using the specially developed Lattelon coating, the milk does not burn in the pot and any residue wipes off easi- ly. Having seen the result, it can be testi- fied that it is thick and creamy. Gary Lane, Joint CEO, said, "There's a reason that many electric milk frothers failed in Europe before the aero- latte compact came along. We were late to the market with a heat and froth machine but that's because—with our name synonymous with milk frothing— we had to be sure to get it right. The aero- latte compact and the aerolatte grande just work and work well. We're sure the U.S. consumer will love them as much as our best-selling hand held frothers." Nifty strives for consumer sat- isfaction by creating multiple styles of accessories for each of the single serve coffee brands. Nifty's single serve coffee acces- sories play to all different types of tastes when it comes to style and design. Nifty originally designed a chrome carousel for the Keurig K-Cup. The carousel contin- ues to perform extremely well for Keurig, but Nifty saw the need for a greater vari- ety of storage accessories for the ever growing single serve coffee market. Nifty was still not finished developing new and exciting products. The ever popular draw- er systems were released in 2011, and have seen a tremendous response from the market, due to their space saving stor- age capacity, versatility, and stylistic looks. Nifty will be releasing a high end, 100 percent stainless steel model of their K-Cup drawer system at the International Home + Housewares Show in 2013. Nifty understood that consumers were looking for a "universal" accessory so they started developing stackable Single Serve Coffee Baskets. The contemporary baskets serve as the most universal item in Nifty's accessories line. Nifty Home Products Inc. was creat- ed in 1991 when President and CEO, Frank Tiemann's Thanksgiving turkey fell helplessly to the ground while he was transferring his turkey from the roasting Nifty Home Products (Con't. from p. 1) pan to the cutting board. Later that after- noon, Frank created the Nifty Turkey Lifter, thus starting a long line of innova- tive, practical and quality products that help to solve everyday dilemmas. Frank and the team at Nifty have since devel- oped two space saving cooling racks. The 3-Tier Cooling Rack takes up the space of a single cooling rack, while cooling three times the amount of food. The EZ Expandable Cooling Rack will expand 35 inches, and retract back to 14 inches, making it "The cooling rack that does it all!" Nifty will continue to lead the way in the housewares industry when it comes to innovation, practicality and quality. Nifty continues to develop new and exciting accessories, with plans to release up five new accessories at the 2013 International Home + Housewares Show. Nifty is extremely excited about the release of the Nifty Soda Stream Pump. The Nifty Soda Stream Pump will fit the Soda Stream Syrup bottles and the pump is designed to pump the exact amount of syrup needed to create the ideal mix of syrup to carbonated water. This means no more sticky syrup bottles and no more sticky overflows! Nifty will continue to use its creativity, market knowledge and the sheer pace at which it can create a new and exciting product as their com- petitive advantages and is looking for- ward to a phenomenal 2013. Their patented innovations in color- changing thermometer technology and engineering have dominated the world- wide marketplace. How have they done it? The answer: Burton Plastics has set the standard in simple and easy-to-use color-changing thermometer products for meats and pro- teins that allow for safe food preparation every time. The benchmark was set with Burton Plastics' Egg-Per'fect, an in-the- pot egg timer that allows a choice of soft, medium, or hard eggs simply by watch- ing the colors change. Expanding into color-changing technology for every meat and protein category, the focus of Burton Plastics (Con't. from p. 1) the company was, and is, on simplicity, safety, and satisfaction. Recent innovations include special- ized applications (the Cooked-Per'fect XL, with an extended handle), and the introduction of the Egg-Per'fect Egg Caddy, a convenient silicone caddy for cradling the Egg-Per'fect color chang- ing-egg timer along with several eggs, which allows for easy removal of your eggs from boiling water. From meat to pasta to the incredible egg, Burton Plastics has a Per'fect solution for all your grill/bake/boil/fry/broil and microwave food preparation projects. This year we will be substantially expanding our product offerings, and many new product lines for us will be debuted at the International Home + Housewares Show in Chicago. All of our new products share a common theme of bringing innovation and convenience to the consumer in the categories of kitchenware and cleaning. KNSD: Tell us about some of the new products you will exhibiting at the Housewares Show. TG: One of the most unique items we will be debuting is a cookbook for raclettes that is called Conversational Cooking. It offers 22 beautifully pho- tographed recipes for the raclette that can be cooked in 12 minutes or less. The book is bundled with Swiss Raclettes™ manufactured by Swiss-based Nouvel, one of the world leaders in tabletop cook- ing items. The combination is such a fun and compelling offering, it will really get consumers talking. Another new offering for us that we are very proud of is a line of oven bags by U.K.-based Terinex, which is also a world leader in its catego- ry. The Look® oven bags by Terinex stay Inno-Labs (Con't. from p. 1) clear during the cooking process unlike the competitor's products. We will also be showing two great lines of kitchen- wares out of Japan that offer Japanese quality with European design flair at Chinese price points. And finally we will be launching a great new line of drink identifiers called DRINK FLAIR®. These are non-adhesive cling drink iden- tifiers that will stick to nearly any sur- face, and are completely re-usable. We are very excited about this year's lineup. KNSD: What makes your company unique? TG: We focus on solving problems for consumers in a way that makes their lives easier, and in the case of some of our prod- ucts like DRINK FLAIR® and Conversational Cooking, more fun. Nearly all of our product offerings have some unique features and benefits that are not found elsewhere in the marketplace, and consumers tend to respond very favor- ably to innovation that is an actual improvement over anything else that is currently available. We strive to stay on the leading edge of innovation and common sense improvements, and we love ideas that are completely new to the marketplace like our flagship product, Fire Wire.
