Convenience Retailer Show Daily Wednesday, October 18, 2017 2 0 M. Carder Industries Launches C-2 Swivel and UL Approved Nozzles M. Carder Industries is a family-owned and operated manufacturer of American-made petroleum fueling equipment. The company was founded in 1970 and is located in Fenton, Missouri. It was a modest operation back in the '70s when Mervin L. Carder Sr. began rebuilding old nozzles in the basement of his home in Kirkwood, Missouri. From the beginning, when the only product was those re-manufac- tured nozzles, the company was dedi- cated to "Q.S.I" – Quality products, unmatched Service to customers and continuous technical Innovation. Although the product line has been expanded considerably, the company's philosophy remains the same as it was in Carder, Sr.'s base- ment. The company moved to its current 18,300 square foot location in 1993. The move allowed it to add CNC mills and turning machines to its production, This made it possible to produce swivels, breakaways and nozzle parts, and added the capability of machining nozzle casting to the produc- tion. Today, M. Carder produces a full line of gasoline, DEF and diesel automat- ic nozzles, breakaways and swivels, from ¾ inch to 2 inches. The company is attending NACS to meet with current customers, find new distributors both in the United States and overseas, and to launch both the new C-2 Swivel and a full line of recently UL approved nozzles. M. Carder is espe- cially proud of being family owned and operated, and for pro- ducing all parts and products in the United States. The company offers quali- ty products at competitive prices. M. Carder has continually improved and refined products over the decades in order to provide the best and most reli- able equipment in the industry. The com- pany strives to provide quality products and service to countries around the world. For more information, visit booth #3541, go to www.mcarder.com or call 888.814.0094. DriveClean: Purchase Washes Fast, Conveniently It has long since been established that operators can maximize their car wash revenue through implementing a loyal- ty program. As loyalty programs have expanded, and the population has shift- ed to one that is never without their smartphones, mobile apps have become the best way to capture those loyal customers. The brand new DriveClean app allows wash customers to sign up for a loyalty program right from their mobile phone, purchase washes, redeem loyalty points and even acti- vate the car wash all without rolling down their window. Wash users will appreciate the rewards that being a loyal wash member provides while never having to worry about losing their loyalty card or code. DriveClean utilizes the powerful Wash Access Loyalty System (WALS) to allow wash owners to manage and control their operations. Creating sub- scription clubs, fleet accounts, fundraiser programs, gift cards and promotional giveaways have always been mainstays of the WALS product offering that have allowed operators to maximize their rev- enue. Pairing this system with an easy to use mobile app is the next step in the evolution of the car wash loyalty pro- gram. Meeting Rising Demand for Clean, Premium Burritos Food made with clean, simple and real ingredients is becoming more synony- mous with fresh. We see this emerging trend in restaurants and supermarket deli, but what about convenience store foodservice? It turns out that this is also very important to a segment of conven- ience store consumers. In a proprietary research study conducted by Ruiz with 1,900 convenience store consumers, there lies a segment that wants healthier prepared food options and showed strong interest in clean label claims like no artificial colors or flavors. This con- sumer segment skews younger and Hispanic. Recognizing these growing trends, Ruiz Foods ® committed to removing tar- geted ingredients like artificial color and flavors from its portfolio by the end of 2017. The company didn't stop there. It solicited consumer and retailer input to develop and bring to market new, great tasting premium burritos. The new Three Bold Brothers burritos introduce a new quality tier and brand for Ruiz Foods. It aims to meet expectations of growing consumer interest for higher quality and real ingredients. Three Bold Brothers burritos feature either grilled prime rib beef or grilled white meat chicken. They also have real Monterey Jack cheese, whole black beans and cilantro lime rice all wrapped in a freshly baked tor- tilla. These large, 7- ounce burritos are hand wrapped in brown butcher paper packaging which adds to its premium and freshly-made position. The burritos can be merchandised in the refrigerated case. Both flavors received strong scores among convenience store consumers and outperformed a competitive offering in overall liking and purchase intent. These burritos are targeting the millennial male who frequently visits convenience stores and is looking for high quality foods. Ruiz Foods is excited for the new intro- duction and confident that millennial consumers will be satisfied with the qual- ity and proven great taste. Three Bold Brothers burritos debut at NACS 2017 in Chicago. Visit the Ruiz Foods booth #5362 to sample these premium burritos. Ruiz Foods has been making great tasting, quality burri- tos since 1964. With more than 50 years of experience and success, Ruiz Foods has developed several winning brands, namely El Monterey ® in retail and Tornados ® on the roller grill. It is excited to have Three Bold Brothers join the ranks of these leading and beloved brands.
