Consumer Electronics Daily News 5 7 Friday, January 6, 2017 safety-related devices fully controllable from your smartphone. As always, we are keeping our tradition of zero monthly fees. CEDN: Through the recent news of cyber attacks via vulnerable IP cameras and digital video recorders, how can ALC assure customers that its products are safe to use and will not be used as part of a hacking scheme? JW: ALC utilizes proprietary product designs from start to end. From industri- al, mechanical and electrical designs, all the way to software and server architec- ture, we actively took part in these developments. We do not use public boards offered at extremely low prices, nor do we use public servers in foreign countries. We also periodically hire third-party experts to look for exploits and vulnerabilities within our architec- ture in order to make sure our design integrity has not been compromised. The cost of product development may be higher than industry average, and it may not be a guaranteed invincibility, but I believe we should take all neces- sary steps in order to mitigate the prob- lem. All too often people trade away their security for a pretty price tag, but to us security is still of the utmost importance. CEDN: Can you tell our readers about a few exciting, up-and-coming products from ALC? JW: Through popular demand, we have Atoms Labs (Cont'd. from p. 1) developed an outdoor, weatherproof, full high-definition model of our pan-tilt WiFi camera. With this camera, you may be able to watch live feeds of your front or back yard from half a world away, as well as swiping left and right to change the position of the camera. We also pro- vide a couple of different ways to mount the camera for convenience. We also have a new full high-defini- tion indoor pan-tilt camera that has the capability of connecting to our existing line of sensors, such as magnetic door/window sensors, motion detectors, sirens, etc. Not only do customers get the option to view live views and record activities, they are also alerted when a sensor is triggered or senses anomalies. This is the ultimate all-in-one solution for home safety. Another product we have coming up is the second generation of our best- selling Observer system – a truly plug- n-play monitoring kit with high defini- tion display. For users who want an easy system to set up that offers piece of mind, this is the perfect system. To install the system, simply mount your cameras and plug in the power plugs – that's it. Not only does this system give you a dedicated touchscreen so you always can keep an eye on the entry points to your house, you may also view these cameras from your smartphones or tablets when you're out and about. Because of large video files, we also offer the option to record to an SD card, or an external hard drive. Interactive content could be linked to the daily emails, allowing mailers to build interactive campaigns or solicit feedback. These are just a few of the USPS (Cont'd. from p. 4) ways that Informed Delivery can change the way that mail functions as a marketing tool. As marketing continues to change, the use of mail is changing with it. That's a challenge the Postal Service is helping its customers meet. WINBOT Pathfinder Technology automatically scans and calculates the size of the win- dow, then programs a cleaning path for maximum efficiency. Its advanced tech- nology and multiple sensors help it intel- ligently avoid edges and obstacles while leaving windows clean, and the microfiber pads are washable and reusable. The newly released WINBOT 850 is full of innovative features to clean quick- ly and easily. Its high-speed fan motor for strong suction and its re-designed clean- ing pad and squeegee system allow WIN- BOT 850 to clean more surfaces, includ- ing vertical glass, framed or frameless glass, and frosted, filmed or tinted glass. WINBOT 850 is still simple to use with one-touch operation and now automati- cally chooses an "N" or "Z" cleaning path based on window size. Its smart sen- sors stop it from crossing window frames ECOVACS Robotics (Cont'd. from p. 4) and intelligently clean up to frameless glass edges, and around door handles and locks. Another ECOVACS product creat- ing new demand is the advanced WIN- BOT 950. With its proprietary SMART DRIVE system of navigation and clean- ing, SMART DRIVE separates robot navigation from robot cleaning. These independent systems enable WINBOT 950 to provide a four-sided, four-stage cleaning process in any direction the robot travels. SMART DRIVE also increases cleaning speed and ensures complete coverage, while the sophisticat- ed on-board operating system and multi- ple sensors help avoid edges and obsta- cles during cleaning. WINBOT adds glamor to the glam- orless chore of cleaning windows! This new category will add sales to your robotics category. It's a tremendous setting for intro- ducing the latest innovations given its broad international audience and the excitement the show generates in the industry and the media. It's a major rea- son why Scosche has participated in the show for nearly 30 years. Scosche is excited to once again be exhibiting at the show, and it has plenty of things to talk about and share with the attendees when they stop by North Hall booth #7900. "Different wavelengths and strengths of light trigger different posi- tive reactions in the cells," says Jonathon Graff, Director of Clinical Research and Education at Apira Science. "What's important to get the best results possible with LLLT is using the right wavelength and power to get the desired reaction and consistent treatment over time." The iDerma uses a combination of red and infrared LEDs to reverse the vis- ible signs of aging by stimulating deep cellular regeneration. Used just 10 min- utes three times per week, the iDerma can leave skin refreshed, toned and clear in as little as eight weeks. Also a wearable, hands-free home product, the iGrow is a USFDA-cleared treatment for genetic hair loss that's clin- ically proven to regrow hair in both men and women. With two published, peer reviewed clinical trials, the iGrow showed hair counts increasing by 37 per- cent among women and 35 percent in men in just 16 weeks of every-other-day treatments. Apira Science (Cont'd. from p. 48) Like diet and exercise, LLLT treat- ments can take weeks or months to see their full benefits and many people give up long before the best results can show. Says Graff, "This is why we created the iDerma and iGrow, so everyone can get the benefits of safe, affordable, effective and easy use LLLT in the comfort and privacy of home." Anti-aging is the fastest-growing segment of the medical and personal care markets, so products with clinical sup- port and solid science behind them are poised to take off in the coming years. Apira's President Jeff Braile comments, "More than 90 million men and women suffer from genetic hair loss, and life takes its toll on our skin and faces. Everyone gets older, but why look old before your time?" The iDerma is brand new to the mar- ket. The iGrow Hair Growth System is available for purchase online at www.igrowlaser.com, www.neimanmar- cus.com, www.nordstrom.com, www .hammacher.com and www.frys.com as well as select Neiman retail locations. For more information, visit www.apira science.com or stop by booth #BT308 at Beauty Tech, located at the Sands Expo, Venetian Ballroom G-H.
