C o n s u m e r E l e c t ro n i c s D a i l y N e ws M o n d a y, J a n u a r y 5 , 2 0 1 5 8 0 enhancement solutions – the Fusion7. Fusion7 provides an all in one solution including: SureCall's patented five- band cellular solution for Verizon, AT&T and T-Mobile and virtually all other U.S. carriers; a built-in Wi-Fi booster along with a router that not only extends network coverage within the home but also increases the power for fast and reliable data transfers; an HDTV booster that brings all locally aired HDTV television stations into your home. Built-in Wi-Fi it allows for greatly enhanced streaming video through Netflix ® and other on-demand streaming media providers. SureCall SureCall, the innovation leader in cellu- lar booster technology, specializes in the design and manufacturing of cell phone signal boosters and accessories. These systems dramatically improve cell phone reception for homes, mobile settings and businesses, wherever cellular reception is weak due to distance from towers, topog- raphy, building materials or structural design. SureCall ( Cont'd. from p. 1) How Cellular Boosters Work Signals sent from a cell tower are received by the outside antenna, ampli- fied by the booster and then broadcast throughout your indoor environment to your phone via the interior antenna. When your phone transmits, the signal is relayed back to the cell tower via the out- side antenna. Depending on the model, SureCall offers boosters that can enhance 2G, 3G and 4G voice and data for all U.S. carriers such as Verizon, AT&T and T- Mobile to name a few. These competi- tively priced boosters can cover areas of 500 square feet up to 25,000 square feet with as many as 100-plus simulta- neous users. Features include: the highest 4G data rate in the industry; FCC approved for use with all major U.S. carriers; quality metal construction, durable and resilient; a best in the industry, three-year warranty; available in kits with all necessary com- ponents. In addition to a fully functional Android cell phone compatible with applications downloaded from the Google Play Store, this smart watch also has a fast and reliable dual core proces- sor, a built-in 5MP camera, an HD video camera, as well as GPS, a high-quality speaker, microphone, Bluetooth compati- bility and Wi-Fi hotspot. "I don't even carry a cell phone now. I just use my watch," Billings said. "I use a regular Bluetooth earpiece, and Bluetooth talks to the watch, so I just look like anyone else talking in the cell phone, except that I don't have it hanging on the belt. But in a pinch, you can use it Dick Tracy-style with the speaker phone, and it's pretty cool." With GoldKey inside, the Secure Communicator is a dual-factor authen- tication device featuring secure email and encrypted cloud storage. The watch's Gold Pay authentication tech- nology means that the wearer can depend on the security of transactions made with a variety of payment options that protect sensitive financial information, including credit card numbers, from ever being revealed to the vendor. "It's all about security. G oldKey ( Cont'd. from p. 1) Emails sent from this phone and texts are fully encrypted, so that you have a completely secure system. Later this year, we are planning to release Gold Talk, which will encrypt telephone conversations between users," Billings said. "Wherever a person needs securi- ty, you can strap it on and it'll always be with you. It's just nice to have it really handy." The watch's security is tied to a GoldKey encryption key that's managed by a piece of USB hardware that's deliv- ered to the Secure Communicator's owner with the purchase. Authorities who want to obtain data transmitted through the Secure Communicator could- n't get hold of it with a subpoena to GoldKey – they'd have to come to the Secure Communicator's owner. "The company that deploys this has access to the keys, but we don't," Billings said. With all that functionality, The Secure Communicator also looks good. "The watches are nice pieces of jewelry. I like the looks of it," Billings said. "It's good-looking, and it can absolutely be worn without being noticed for its gad- getry. It looks like a regular luxury watch, just like an analog clock. It's almost like my Rolex." Look for the GoldKey Secure Communicator in booth #20542 in the South Hall. In 2001, we used our engineering expertise to design a new type of surge protector called the Smart Strip. CEDN: Can you tell us more about the Smart Strip? RB: Being green long before it was fash- ionable, my brother did not want to leave his computer on at the end of the day and he got tired of reaching under his desk, so he invented the first energy-saving surge protector. Since this was our first con- sumer product and it was different from any of the surge protectors at that time, the first Smart Strip took us a full year to completely develop. The Smart Strip contains several innovative patented technologies and no other company had a similar product for years after its release. CEDN: What else makes your surge pro- tectors unique? RB: We decided there were enough stan- dard surge protectors on the market already, so we set out to produce the most unique surge protector line available. Each surge protector was designed around a specific need that we saw. CEDN: Does your company have any other innovations? RB: Since the Smart Strip in 2002, we have been the first to market on several different surge protectors, such as a dual voltage surge protector in 2003, a brownout protector in 2004 and a variety of others that followed. CEDN: Is your company introducing any new products? RB: Today the average consumer is sur- rounded with technology that they BITS Limited ( Cont'd. from p. 1) always need to keep powered, so we are introducing the miniSquid. It is a small, easy-to-carry surge protector that can be placed in any bag from camping to travel to daily use. We are also getting the fac- tories ready to start producing our True Surge models. CEDN: What is True Surge? RB: True Surge is the first and only surge protector that always protects your equipment no matter how big the surge is. It has several patented safety features that are revolutionizing the entire surge protector industry just like the Smart Strip did when we released it. CEDN: What is the vision for your com- pany? RB: BITS Limited is the only surge pro- tector company where everything except the manufacturing is done in the U.S.A. We have also always built our lower vol- ume surge protectors in the U.S.A, and are now looking to start building at least one of our higher volume models in the U.S.A. CEDN: To what do you attribute your company's success? RB: Our customers. They love our prod- ucts and love a company that can be reached directly and easily. This is why we do not outsource our customer serv- ice; it brings us closer to the customer. CEDN: How can our readers find more about your company? RB: We are available on the web, social media and even by simply picking up the phone. Visit BITS Limited at booth 35155. For more information, visit www.bitsltd .net, call 631-896-9855 or email russell.barton@me.com. HR: We are pioneers and the world's largest manufacturer of the most sold tonic-clonic seizure monitor and heart- based bed occupancy monitor manufac- turer. We also manufacture our own pro- prietary electro-active dynamic polymer sensors for paper industry, sports equip- ment, music instruments, touch-sensitive human interfaces, smart buildings, etc. CEDN: What would you say makes your company unique? HR: It is our ability to create smart IoT (internet-of-things) products. Products with dynamic sensor, embedded signal acquisition for low data rate, cloud con- nectivity, server software and more algo- rithms to produce user needed data, and on top of that, also web application for users to use the data. It is lots of compe- tence and know-how that our team is put- ting together to create new innovative IoT products. CEDN: Where is your current product emphasis? HR: Last summer, we launched our first IoT product, it being Emfit QS. It is a non-contact and hassle-free recovery, stress and sleep monitor to solve the problem of keeping track of health and wellness without needing to wear any device or remembering to start or stop any measurement. Our mission has always been sensing what matters. Its mission is to help people improve their Emfit ( Cont'd. from p. 1) wellness by enabling them to quantify their sleep and track how behavioral lifestyle choices affect it to see what works the best for them. CEDN: Who are your target end-users? HR: Emfit QS is targeted at work well- being, athletes and personal trainers, and anyone who is interested in their person- al wellbeing and leading a healthy lifestyle. CEDN: What distinguishes your product from the competition? HR: Emfit QS is the world's first non- contact, Heart Rate Variability enabled sleep monitor. With this new technology, athletes, leaders and everybody interest- ed in their wellbeing can now easily and effortlessly monitor and optimize train- ing and recovery cycles. Emfit QS also measures heart and respiration rates and turns and tosses, and from these it calculates sleep classes. The sleep classification includes all three stages: REM, deep and light sleep, because the brain requires a sufficient amount of REM sleep in order to recov- er, while the body's recovery requires deep sleep. Some of our competition pro- vides only two-class sleep classification by classifying REM and deep sleep together as deep sleep.
