The DeckRite product will extend the elegance and comfort of your house out onto your deck or balcony. It complements any outdoor setting, and yet it is durable enough to withstand snow, ice, rain and sun exposure. DeckRite is easy to clean and maintain and will provide any consumers with PWSC (Cont'd. from p. 1) administration business for two decades. How has the company maintained success and relevancy in a turbulent marketplace? RL: Our insurance partner, Zurich, operates under a conservative model during turbulent times. We are fiscally conservative. We run a lean business aligned with builders and partners with the same philosophy. It has been a successful model for us! CM: How would you describe PWSC's product offering? RL: Our clients and prospects have different wants and needs, but all share the same goal of delivering quality homes to happy homeowners while keeping a profit margin. The PWSC menu of offerings helps deliver that ideal by addressing customer care, risk management and sales tools. From the first year to the tenth, from the walk-through to the closing, from the foundation to the fridge, we Valley Rural Utilities (Cont'd. from p. 1) shoddy original construction and inadequate capacity further aggravated the original clog-prone pumps as the development of Hidden Lake exceeded the original design capacity for 200 homesites in the service area acquired in 1995. "We experienced overflows and up to six pump outages a month that cost us at least $250 per incident," a utility spokesperson recollected. The private utility decided to replace the eight most clog-prone duplex stations. Replacing the pump stations, rated 110-gpm to 660-gpm, was complicated by some facilities located 100 feet off the roadway in steep topography that presented unavoidable disruption of customer homesites and mature landscaping. Completing the replacements as fast as possible while the existing stations Duratite Systems (Cont'd. from p. 1) comes in the standard white square and round models but are also being released with custom graphics and colors as well. "We wanted to come up with a ceiling diffuser unlike any currently on the market today," said Jim Karnes, DuraTite President and CEO. "Our special Easy Attach Knob lets you not only install our diffuser that much faster, but also allows you to easily remove just the grille to clean or paint or ceiling or even swap out your grille." The Ceiling Diffusers and Register 57 long lasting protection. Second story walkout balconies over living areas are a popular application for DeckRite. The DeckRite membrane provides a 100 percent waterproof layer to keep the water out, yet it is rugged enough for regular foot traffic. It is truly a slip-resistant walkable surface that provides watertight protection against rain. Single-family consumers find the low-maintenance DeckRite just the right answer to replace existing splintered and cracked wood decks. No more slivers and no more power washing, sanding and sealing to keep the old wood deck looking good. With DeckRite, maintenance means an occasional wash down with a common garden hose. Multi-family builders, owners and developers choose DeckRite because it reduces maintenance costs and keeps the occupants happy. A complex with decks covered with DeckRite requires less labor costs and that means more profits stay at the bottom line. Combined with DeckRite's powder coated aluminum railing, DeckRail, your decks could be the last thing you need to worry about, and they will likely last longer with DeckRite covering them. That's value you didn't plan to receive. DeckRite originated in Western Canada where literally millions of square feet of sundecks and balconies are protected by the DeckRite product. It has been available for over 40 years and continues to gain popularity and consumer awareness throughout the United States. have tools and solutions. An Innovative Solution HREZO Engineering Inc., the VRU consultants, identified a more practical alternative than traditional demolition and rebuilds of the designated precast concrete facilities. Instead, the engineers recommended removing the pumps and converting the wetwells into junction basins that would continue to collect sewage from the service lines. The wastewater would then flow by gravity through a single discharge outlet into new, prefabricated fiberglass lift stations adjacent to the converted facilities. The 6-ft. dia. fiberglass wetwells would install in 14- to 16ft. deep fresh excavations from where their pumps would advance the sewage to a downstream regional plant. The two-part Flygt TOPS (The Optimal Pump Station) package lift sta- tion consists of a fiberglass wetwell equipped with the recently introduced Flygt Adaptive N-Pump. The Adaptive N-Pump's superior clog resistance derives from an impeller designed to move axially upwards when encountering most bulky rags, cleaning and personal hygiene wipes, or other tough flow debris so that it can pass smoothly through the pump throat. In the Hidden Lake replacements, the added volume of the prefabricated wetwells also instilled enough added capacity to handle the past shortfalls and the projected future growth in additional connections. The Water Environment Federation recognized the enhanced hydraulics of the clog-resistant Adaptive N-Pump as the "2011 Most Innovative Product." The engineering features not only clear built-up material on the pump impellers but clear the drag that strangles pump energy effi- ciency, the utility learned. "Our first station entered service two years ago and has used less than half the electricity of the old pumps," a utility spokesperson said. Flygt helped to preserve the expedited schedule by acting as the single source for the integrated TOPS wetwell/pump package: all accessory hardware, easy access split aluminum access covers, the control panels and a Flygt AquaView SCADA management software system. One station also was equipped with an optional Mix-Flush valve whose 15-second blast of recirculated wastewater at the startup of each pump cycle flushes and churns up solids from the bottom of the wetwell. Following competitive bids, the work was completed late in 2013. Boots are all made in the USA of a high impact plastic that won't dent or rust and are paintable to match any décor. The Ceiling Diffuser combinations can feature a 12" diffuser and either a 6" or 8" register boot which are plenum rated (UL 2043) and meet the Air Diffusion Councils recommended 2" collar length. These diffusers can be used for residential, commercial, new construction and retrofit installs. The Register Boot comes with the DuraTite Quick Zips to attach to your ceiling, no matter what the thickness. The Easy Attach Knob feature allows you to attach the diffuser to the boot without any tools. The Knob also allows for simple removal of just the grille for cleaning or painting the ceiling. An optional butterfly damper or rotary damper is also available. Available at IBS 2014, DuraTite will also unveil their newest Ceiling Diffuser, known as the Capital Crown Grille series. The new round and square models were designed with a crown molding look to compliment the surroundings of a more formal dining area or conference room. In addition to custom graphics and colors, the diffusers will also be available with various wood grain patterns.
