Tuesday, May 21, 2013 Wireless World dreamGEAR, LLC, we've built an accessory business that focuses on the key dynamics of retail: product design, product functionality, price, and packaging. Our long time factory partnerships allow us to efficiently focus our products on the primary features demanded by customers, while designing and building packaging that creates a maximum return on investment based on space and messaging that will drive customers to purchase. For the last 11 years, dreamGEAR's iSound brand has focused on being a onestop accessory supplier, offering a wide array of mobile accessory products, from sync cables and power cables to cases and innovative products such as Bluetooth speakers, Bluetooth headphones, and high capacity back-up batteries for the customer on the go. These are just a few of the products provided by dreamGEAR for one-stop shopping. The iSound brand is a family of products focused on the mobile lifestyle. We created a consistent look through our packaging and message style that helps to drive add-on sales in the mobile category. Execution on the selling floor for product presentation and display can be one of our industry's biggest challenges. dreamGEAR provides custom display options in a prepack that requires minimum involvement from store personnel – open the carton, put the header on the top and place the shipper on the shelf – simple and easy to execute equals higher return. dreamGEAR and iSound create all packaging designs in-house. We use that ability to create effective and sales-stim- passport pictures, to birthdays, to special occasions like Fathers or Mothers Day. Once the template has been selected, printing the picture is as easy as selecting the actual photo(s) and then selecting "print!" With the Photo Cube, printing the picture takes less than one minute to print a regular sized 4" x 6" picture (panorama picture printing time will vary depending on length selected). The Photo Cube uses the dye-sublimination technology to transfer the colors via thermal-layering process. The paper is released and pulled back into the Photo Cube four separate times. On the last pass, a thin layer of laminate is applied to the final printed photo. The laminate protects the picture from UV, fingerprints, dust, and makes the picture water-resistant. The patented 36count (guaranteed to print 36 full color pictures without running out of ink) All-In-One cartridges are sold with the paper, ink, and laminate already inside and ready to use, no additional assembly or adjusting is necessary. Just insert and print! In addition to the innovative features that the Photo Cube provides, accessories like the carrying bag and the DC car power adapter allow the Photo Cube to be completely portable and well protected. The Photo Cube is also available in a WiFi-enabled model for a completely wireless printing experience. The user can purchase the Photo Cube and accessories from VuPoint Solutions' many online partners including Amazon, Target.com, Walmart.com, SharperImage.com, TigerDirect.com, or BandHPhoto.com. Retail partners include Staples, Office Depot, Office Max, B&H Photo, Adorama, and 17th St Photo. ing our pre-paid mobile data service called KIKA DATA. KIKA also purchases, collects, reuses, and recycles all of its devices responsibly. gy. We then attempt to reuse all of those devices in markets that still can utilize and have demand for that product. For example, some of our customers only want or need a 3G data device and can no longer get 3G devices from the major wireless carriers that have moved on to 4G technologies. Our process is to test, and data clear the devices we collect. Devices that pass our testing are reused and resold. Devices that fail testing or cannot be data cleared are then destroyed and recycled following internationally recognized standards for electronic ewaste recycling. To finish up the full life cycle of the device, KIKA now not only resells and reuses the data devices that pass our testing, but now we are offering mobile wireless data service direct to individuals, and companies through our KIKA DATA MVNO. milestone of actually exceeding the number of people on the planet (currently just above 7 billion). We are taking advantage of the huge potential for innovation that is offered by LTE-A. designed to meet the customer's needs, no matter how challenging they are, head on. DREAMGEAR OFFERS PACKAGING AND MESSAGING THAT APPEAL TO CUSTOMERS By Richard Weston, dreamGEAR, LLC Partner, The mobile electronics industry is exploding. Retail buyers are challenged to find product that will fit both the general needs of their customers as well as innovative products that will generate excitement. Buyers are also looking for suppliers who understand retail and can offer solutions to maximize sales and profits. In today's challenging business climate, doing more business with fewer suppliers can help simplify the buying process and drive an economy of scale that builds a true partnership. At VUPoint (Cont'd. from p. 1) iPhone 5 and iPads and all Android-based mobile products (or the 30pin connector to directly dock older Apple products), to print out high quality pictures for less than the cost of the same type of print from a professional photo printer. To get started, simply download the free Photo Cube App from the iTunes Store or the Google Play Store. Once downloaded, the app allows the user to access all pictures stored on the mobile product. With the app, the user can also choose different frames from different templates: from ID photos, perfect for Kika Enterprises (Cont'd. from p. 1) WW: What makes KIKA unique? RS: KIKA has become the leader in secondary market wireless data devices. We are the supplier for mid-size providers, including MVNOs, rural carriers, M2M solutions, wholesalers, carrier retail stores, and often work directly with the major wireless carrier sales reps to supply their customers with 3G data devices. WW: Are you introducing any new services? RS: KIKA can now offer its customers solutions on all types of wireless data devices, and here at CTIA we are launchAeroflex (Cont'd. from p. 1) test solutions cover each stage of the LTE and LTE-A product cycle, from RF testing of chip sets for LTE handsets right through to emulation of thousands of mobile terminals for load testing a network with real data traffic. WW: Compare the position of your products and their technology against the current market. IL: We are seeing our market expand due to the need for increasing test complexity that comes with the rapid growth LTE and LTE-A and the need to test multiple wireless standards. The 39 WW: What is the data device life cycle? RS: The life cycle of a data device begins at the OEM. The manufacturer sells the device to the larger wireless carrier; those carriers sell to their end users. As users upgrade to the next generation technology or sometimes just return devices within the 30-day return period, this is where KIKA comes into the picture. We buy back as many of the end of life, used, and returned devices as we can in the wireless market. Often times this is as companies and carriers upgrade to newer technolomain reason for the rapid evolution towards LTE-A is not just the higher data rates promised but also the massive demand for data that is generated by end users. This comes as a result of the proliferation of mobile devices, including smartphones and tablets, with applications such as social networking that require always-on connectivity. Once users acquire a smartphone, their usage pattern also tends to increase as they discover its capabilities. This in turn leads to demand for ubiquitous cellular coverage, including in-building coverage and services on public transport. According to a recent report by Cisco, during the past year mobile connections have reached the WW: To what do you attribute your company's success? IL: Aeroflex has a very special ethos. You can see it in our people, in the way they work, how they take ownership and fight for even the smallest detail in any project. But the real proof of our passion is in our products. There's always something that defines an Aeroflex product. Something more. Faster. Or more cost-effective. And it's ulating messaging for our products, as well as on our shelf displays.
