SecuRam SmartEntry with Waterproof Finger Vein ID Technology SecuRam Systems, a leader in electronic security, is pleased to introduce SecuRam SmartEntry front door lock incorporating the latest biometric authentication – Finger Vein ID. Finger Vein ID technology goes well beyond fingerprint scanning – it analyzes the blood vessel or vascular pattern below the epidermal layer of your finger and then using its unique matching algo- rithm, validates entry to only enrolled users. One of the great deficiencies associ- ated with fingerprint biometrics has been its inability to work in outdoor condi- tions. With its invention of waterproof Finger Vein ID, SecuRam has delivered the absolute security of advanced bio- metric access to virtually any installation condition. Finger Vein ID was already a remarkable advance; SecuRam has per- fected it even further. With customers and applications ranging from home access to banking and automotive securi- ty, SecuRam remains the reference stan- dard in authentication technology. Blood vessel patterns are unique to each individual, as are other biometric data such as fingerprints or the patterns of the iris. However, unlike some biomet- ric systems, blood vessel patterns are almost impossible to counterfeit because they are located beneath the skin's surface. Biometric systems based on fingerprints, depending upon the technology, can be fooled with a dummy finger fitted with a copied fingerprint. The Finger Vein ID system is much harder to fool and it requires the finger of a liv- ing person to authenticate. SmartEntry represents a break- through in high security authentication for home or office use. This technology was once only available on high-end security equipment used by high tech companies. SecuRam Systems is the first security company to successfully incorporate this very secure biometric authentication system into access con- trol products for everyday use. Simply touch the SmartEntry scanner and then the science goes to work to determine if you are an enrolled user. A positive match sends a signal to the SmartEntry door lock to open immediately, allowing fast and secure access to your home or office. With optional Wi-Fi connectivity, you can manage and monitor your SmartEntry from your smartphone. SecuRam SmartEntry: Highly secure, easy-to-use biometric technology to protect those most precious to you. For more information, go to www .securamsys.com. Next Generation of Aura Uses WiFi Motion and Mesh Technology to Monitor Your Home Without Cameras Cognitive Systems Corp., creators of WiFi Motion, announced the availabil- ity of the next generation of the Aura home monitoring system. Aura allows consumers a view into their home – without cameras. The system is simple to setup and uses advanced WiFi Motion technology to monitor the dis- ruption of wireless signals caused by movement, and alerts homeowners to when and where motion occurs. "The latest version of Aura pro- vides even more insight into activity happening in the home, while main- taining the privacy of our customers," said Taj Manku, Chief Executive Officer of Cognitive Systems. WiFi Motion Technology Unlike other sensors that use heat or light, Aura uses wireless signals – a more accurate and dependable way of detecting motion. The new Aura expandable Beacon-based system uses a combination of advanced algorithms and machine learning to distinguish between people, pets and mechanical motion (like a fan). With the use of three or more Beacons, mesh motion sensing is unlocked, allowing home- owners to be notified where and when motion occurs in their home. The engi- neering team at Cognitive is continu- ously optimizing and advancing WiFi Motion. These advances will be pro- vided as software updates. Home Automation Aura integrates with other smart home products to expand the automation and control in the home. Consumers can also create custom recipes with IFTTT to use motion as a trigger to control connected lights, WiFi cameras and more. Today, Aura works with Amazon Alexa and Google Home to provide users with voice control of their Aura system. The list of smart home integra- tions will continue to grow with more coming soon. Mobile App Aura is managed using the new Aura Home smartphone app available for free from the Apple App Store and on Google Play. With the app, customers can create a simple layout of their home, view live motion, motion intensity, historical motion, see who is home and change between five scenes. In homes with three or more Beacons, users can also view in which room the motion occurred. Scenes are new to Aura and allow users to customize how they receive notifications on their smartphone about what's happening in their home. Home – use when family members are home. Away – use when no one is home. Night – use while sleeping at night to activate specific Aura Beacons. Pet (beta) – use to help Aura learn your pet motion when no one is home. Guardian – use to keep an eye on loved ones or to monitor remote prop- erties. Use Cases Aura provides peace of mind and insights into places where cameras may not be appropriate or wanted. Family Insights – know when the kids got home, when they went to bed or if they try to sneak out at night. Elderly Care – keep an eye on aging parents, without impacting their privacy – know that they are up and moving and get notified if motion isn't detected. Rental property owners – under- stand when guests arrive and leave, and know if the property is being used for a party. For more information, visit www .aurahome.com.
