Construction Marketplace Thursday, January 11, 2018 1 8 Stunning Colors and Accessories for Your Next Cabinetry Project Elias Woodwork's team of experts have been busy examining industry trends in an effort to develop the right color palettes for their product lines that will provide you with popular options for your design toolbox. Whether you are looking for stained, painted, glazed, lam- inate or vinyl, Elias Woodwork is equipped with color options for any style. Recently Elias Woodwork added some trending gray and neutral tone stain col- ors to its collection that have become very popular and are in high demand. Due to the properties of wood, the stains will often look very different from one piece of wood to the other in the same species. Of course, this is also what makes wood unique and creates many beautiful finishes that are sought after and simulated. Elias Woodwork ensures its wood products and finishes are the highest quality while remaining competi- tive in the industry. Rigid Thermofoil (RTF) can be an excellent wood alternative with many unique colors and textures to help get creative with your kitchen or bath project without the extra cost of exotic materials. These products offer unique options for both color and texture and have become popular for their durable, moisture resist- ant properties. Elias Woodwork has recently evolved its RTF color collection to include some trendy new rustic wood grain and solid colors that are a perfect blend of French country and modern sophistication. Another economical alternative to wood is laminate. If you are looking for that wood grain and contemporary syner- gy with your design, then you may want to also see Elias Woodwork's new lami- nate slab doors. It includes nine colors featuring exotic wood colors and textures that are sought after by designers and kitchen builders. Popular straight lines and smooth, simple looks are easy to achieve with the company's line of one piece laminate slab doors. Industry-lead- ing machinery ensures a virtually invisible transi- tion from the edge-band to the face of the door effectively enhancing this modern style. Color options are imperative for any kitchen and bath project, but the acces- sories for your project provide the small- er touches of perfection that tie it all together and add functionality. With this in mind, Elias Woodwork has recently added more accessory products to its offerings to further help provide all your project needs. One of the newest product offerings is the line of floating shelves that have been popular with modern kitchen design trends. Optimizing space with minimal surface coverage helps to open up a space and make it appear larg- er. This concept and the clean sophistication of float- ing shelves make them a must have option for any kitchen designer. Of course, there are numerous other options that can go into any kitchen design, and Elias Woodwork strives to support these project needs. They include drawer boxes, pull- outs and inserts, thousands of molding profiles, cabinet posts, fluted fillers, valances, range hoods and much, much more. Speak to a customer service representative to find out more about how Elias Woodwork can meet your needs and help your business grow. Be sure to get your updated color sample chains so you can add these new colors to your kitchen and bath design tool box. Four Kitchen and Bath Smart Features in the HGTV Smart Home By Ron Feinbaum, General Manager, HGTV Home Promotions The Kitchen & Bath Industry Show is like a belated Christmas for home enthu- siasts. With hundreds of exhibitors, thou- sands of products and endless kitchen and bath ideas, the show floor is a one- stop shop for those of us in the home business. It's inspiring to see the innova- tion represented in the industry from year to year. And not just in the area of design – though the new champagne gold faucet finishes and natural stone countertops are something to behold, it's the technology making its way into our homes that is perhaps most exciting. Each year HGTV builds its HGTV Smart Home, a beautiful abode tricked out with home tech to make everyday liv- ing more enjoyable. The best part about this project is giving the home away to one lucky winner in a nationally televised sweepstakes. But a close second is all the ways we're able to integrate technology into the house, inspiring our viewers to learn more about the increasingly simple and affordable products that can make any home more intelligent. Reflecting back on our most recent project, the HGTV Smart Home 2017 in Scottsdale, Arizona, here are some of my favorite kitchen and bath innovations: 1. Samsung Family Hub Smart Refrigerator – This revolutionary fridge with a Wi-Fi enabled touchscreen lets homeowners manage grocery inventory and connect with family like never before. Images of the inside of the fridge can be accessed from a smartphone (handy while grocery shopping!) The large door screen also showcases elec- tronic notes, sched- ules, reminders and photos, and it even streams music. 2. VELUX sky- lights – The kitchen is the heart of the home, so inviting natural light is a must. These skylights are operated by touchscreen remote con- trols to open and close from below. They feature remote-operated shades to let in less light when desired, and the rain- sensing element automatically closes them in the event of a pop-up shower. 3. Kohler digital bath and shower – Some mornings are just too difficult to have to tinker with the tub. Thanks to Kohler, each user in the HGTV Smart Home can pre-set the perfect water tem- perature for both the freestanding oval tub and the spacious walk-in shower. Just right every time. The tub also plays relaxing ambient sounds for a spa-like experience. 4. Kohler Numi toilet – This motion- sensing loo automati- cally raises the toilet lid when someone approaches it, then lowers it again after use. It also boasts a seat and floor warmer for chilly days, and even a bidet feature is included. The most important aspect in incorporat- ing smart home technology is to consider more than just the gee-whiz factor – the best technology is seamlessly integrated and truly elevates the homeowner's lifestyle. Look for more amazing smart home tech wrapped in an impeccable package with the next HGTV Smart Home, coming March 15, 2018!
