It's the only retail centered, non- injectable generic alternative to the tablet. It's the only Alendronate Oral Solution on the market. It's the only generic Alendronate that's not a tablet. It's cov- ered by Medicaid, most Medicare and most private insurance policies. It is stocked and available at your preferred wholesaler or available for direct ship- ment. The minimum order quantity has been reduced to one unit for direct orders. In 2013, TAGI Pharma, Inc., announced the launch of its Alendronate Sodium Oral Solution, 70mg/75mL, once weekly, bone resorption suppression agent in the United States and its territo- ries, possessions and protectorates. This FDA approved oral solution is the sole source generic alternative to Merck & Co., Inc.'s FOSAMAX ® (Alendronate Sodium) Oral Solution and is indicated for the treatment of osteoporosis in post- menopausal women. In postmenopausal women, Alendronate increases bone mass and reduces the incidence of fractures, including those of the hip and spine (ver- tebral compression fractures), and as treatment to increase bone mass in men with osteoporosis. Contraindications: abnormalities of the esophagus which delay esophageal emptying such as stric- ture or achalasia; inability to stand or sit upright for at least 30 minutes; do not administer Alendronate Sodium Oral Solution to patients at increased risk of aspiration; hypocalcemia; hypersensitivity to any compo- nent of this product; hypersensi- tivity reactions including urticaria and angioedema have been reported. Thomas Anderson, Executive President, said "Alendronate Oral Solution represents a key step for- ward in the implementation of TAGI Pharma's business plan to bring differen- tiated products to the marketplace." Kenny Harrington, Vice President of Sales and Marketing, said, "Alendronate Sodium Oral Solution addresses unmet needs in the market for a liquid Alendronate product, and complements the TAGI strategy to provide unique products to underserved customers." "TAGI Pharma, Inc. was established to target the generic retail market," said Anderson, "and our product selection for TAGI Pharma is focused on higher barri- ers to entry and lim- ited competition where there are mar- ket expansion oppor- tunities in the retail market, as well as the non-retail sector currently being serviced by Precision Dose, our parent company. Keys to our success have been a thorough under- standing of the markets we compete in and identification of profitable product opportunities that provide an added value to our customers, with a foundation ® always grounded in product quality and high service level performance." NATROL INTRODUCES ADVANCED LINE OF SUPPLEMENTS Natrol ® , the No. 1 brand of melatonin and a leading vitamin, mineral and supple- ment brand for 36 years, recently launched its Natrol Advanced line, a pre- mium line of supplements featuring supe- rior formulations designed to address multiple benefits with increased efficacy. "In consumer research, we consis- tently heard consumers sharing wellness concerns that require a more complex approach," says Thomas Hart, Marketing Director at Natrol. "Finding the right solution can be a challenge for con- sumers in a confusing supplement cate- gory filled with many single ingredients and weak formulations, the benefits of which are often difficult to understand. For example, they might not just have difficulty falling asleep, but this is often compounded by an inability to calm the mind so they can relax and fall asleep. Natrol Advanced Sleep was developed to address issues like this in one highly effective product." The Natrol Advanced line consists of three products: Advanced Sleep – Melatonin+5-HTP: a triple-action sleep formula developed to help overcome the three most common sleep concerns – a racing mind, difficulty falling asleep and difficulty sleeping through the night. Formulated in a unique, bi-layer tablet, it releases an initial burst of 5- HTP and melatonin to help you calm the mind and fall asleep faster, followed by a con- trolled-release of melatonin to help you stay asleep through the night. Advanced Beauty – Skin, Hair & Nails: a superior formulation in the growing hair, skin and nails segment featuring clinical strength lutein that has been paired with collagen and hyaluronic acid to help improve skin elasticity and hydra- tion, biotin to promote lustrous hair and stronger nails, and alpha lipoic acid and Vitamins A, C and E to protect against free radicals and oxidative damage. Advanced Joint Mobility – Extra Strength Turmeric: proven support for a nor- mal, healthy inflamma- tion response that leads to improved joint mobili- ty formulated with a con- centrated grade of turmeric, with higher levels of curcumi- noids clinically proven to have 46 times greater absorption than standard grade curcumin. "The new Advanced premium supple- ments line tested well with consumers, and we are encouraged to see that now being borne out in the market," Hart said. Natrol plans to grow the line into new segments as early as next year. Visit Natrol at booth #3345. For more information, go to www.natrol.com.
