"If you can dream it, we can do it. We have tens of thousands of customers and they all want things differ- ent, and we're fine with that. That has been a big part of our success." Clients can expect excellent cus- tomer service from AMA Systems as well as the opportunity to participate in special close-outs from manufacturers who ordinarily offer those only to their AMA Systems ( Cont'd. from p. 4) bigger customers. "We have close rela- tionships with the manufacturers for close-outs as well. We can share that with our clients helping to boost their margins," Argeroplos said. "We also have all the boutique servicing that they need. We are in the school of yes, not in the school of no. We're not a square peg- square hole company." Skipstone is web- based software that allows brands to cre- ate and showcase videos that respond to consumers' questions. CEDN: Is this like any other product or service in the marketplace? TO: No. This unique patent-pending service provides the only platform where consumers may ask a question to and go directly to relevant video content. With Skipstone, consumers simply play their video, ask their question and get their answer! CEDN: How is Skipstone an improve- ment over what is currently available in the marketplace? TO: Skipstone provides an efficient, transparent and engaging way for con- sumers to get their questions answered directly from the source: the brand. Skipstone puts consumers and brands on the same playing field, creating a reward- ing, two-way communication experience. Skipstone creates a welcome sales bridge before and after the sale, first to educate consumers on offerings and then as a cus- tomer support tool to foster satisfaction and brand loyalty. CEDN: How do brands get started with Skipstone? TO: Using Skipstone is simple. Brands simply follow these steps: 1) Upload a product demonstration video. 2) Anticipate questions consumers may have. 3) Upload answer videos. 4) Map keywords and phrases of questions to answer content. 5) Promote and distrib- ute the video link provided by Skipstone. CEDN: What happens if a consumer has Skipstone ( Cont'd. from p. 1) a question the brand didn't anticipate? TO: Skipstone offers the option to get answers directly from the brand by text, email or live-chat as supported by the brand. What better way for brands to make sure they satisfy consumer demands and instantly see new market desires than with this direct link to the consumer? CEDN: Are analytics available to brands? TO: Yes. Imagine a real-time focus group of actual shoppers sharing insight on exactly what interests them. Skipstone will categorize and rank consumer inter- est, show trends in market demands and more. CEDN: Where can consumers access 'Skipstones'? TO: Wherever they the go to shop for products and services: the brand's web- site, websites that sell that brand and per- haps tablets at point of sale. As smart TVs become more common, we envision a future where people ask a question of commercials during their favorite pro- gramming. Of course, consumers will always find the latest Skipstones at www.goskipstone.com. As consumers find a Skipstone on one product and enjoy the experience, they will return to www.goskipstone.com to research new items of interest. CEDN: With all there is to see at the 2015 International CES ® , why should readers visit the Skipstone booth? TO: Visit Skipstone to experience the all-new product demo that we will unveil at the show. See the Skipstone revolution for yourself! Visit Skipstone at booth #75033 Sands Expo, Eureka Park. The WorldCard Mobile Phone Kit is a sleek and convenient universal app that comes with a smartphone stand for automatical- ly capturing and recognizing contacts from business cards with your smart phone. With Gmail contacts synchroniza- tion, you can keep in touch and manage your contacts on your iPhone, Android phone and your computer. The WorldPenScan X is a wireless portable pen scanner and translator for Windows, Mac, iPhone and Android. Along with the newest Bluetooth LE technology, there is no extra setup needed to pair the Bluetooth connection. You scan, it types. It'll transfer everything you scan into a typed text, and it becomes your text so that you can manipulate it on your device. Integrated with on-line transla- tion services, it turns your smartphone into an electronic translator. CEDN: Why are these new products important to the marketplace? WX: As the traditional PC market shrinks, more and more PC users have switched to mobile devices. Fortunately we have already responded to that and have released products to work on mobile devices, such as iPhone and Android. For instance, several years ago, if you wanted to scan the business cards you col- PenPower ( Cont'd. from p. 1) lected during a sales trip, you had to come back to your office and run them through a scanner connected to your desktop. Now, using our products, you can do that right through your mobile phone. All of our newer products work on Windows, PC, Mac, Android and Windows phone. CEDN: It sounds like PENPOWER TECHNOLOGIES is very interested in helping business people organize the information they receive on business cards. WX: Yes, it is one of the most important aspects of our business. We have five main product lines: business card man- agement, data entry and translation, doc- ument management, handwriting recog- nition applications and voice recognition applications. These products, particularly the business card management solution, allow users to easily transfer contact data across different platforms, from their scanner to their smartphone to their desk- top and into their industrial office stan- dard databases, from personal to enter- prise. Meanwhile, we have kept pace with the new versions of Outlook, ACT!, Salesforce and Gmail to ensure our cus- tomers won't be left behind. We're the only business card scanner manufacturer to have a solution that works across all of these platforms. That's our uniqueness. Visit PenPower at booth #36927 in South Hall 4. We've been focused on the fact that private messaging is so complicated, and we decided to build our own solution to it. Today's platforms are either hard to use or don't have enough users on them to make them fun to use. The platforms that are actually secure were built for people who are very con- cerned about their privacy, and they're willing to give up features to maintain their privacy. CEDN: How is what you're doing differ- ent? LS: We've built it so it's easy enough to use for dad chatting with mom, for teenagers, but yet its security will protect you in business-to-business conversa- tions. CEDN: How are you protecting user pri- vacy? LS: We have built the system so it's extremely hard even for us to see the con- versations that pass through our servers. The goal is that we'll make money through in-app purchases rather than from gathering our users' data and selling it. CEDN: How close are you to launch on this new service? LS: Our messaging platform, called Chadder, recently launched on iOS and Android, with tablet support coming soon. It's free to download on Google Etransfr ( Cont'd. from p. 1) Play and iTunes. CEDN: Tell me about the features of this platform that make it valuable to users? LS: We have something we call ghost messages, which is similar to Snapchat. It's a disappearing message with a timer, so that the message disappears, and it really disappears – it doesn't just change its file name and save somewhere else. The second feature, which is unique to us, is that if you send something and you want to take it back, you can delete the message off your phone, and it deletes from the recipient's phone as well, so if you regret a message later, you can take it back – or at least create some deniability. We also support multiple devices, so that when you log in with your personal phone and your work phone, your mes- sages will all be there. You'll be able to go seamlessly between devices and con- tinue your conversation. CEDN: What are you hoping to accom- plish here at International CES ® ? LS: We're looking for other college students to come and join us. Anyone who's interest- ed in learning about the project who can help us out, either with funding or with coding expertise is more than welcome to come and talk with us. We're going to be launching a major funding initiative right about the same time as CES. The projects that we have in mind for the near future involve things that the industry has never seen before, so we have some exciting times ahead. Visit Etransfr at booth #75461.
