H o s p i ta l i t y & D e s i g n S h o w D a i l y 1 7 Tu e s d a y, J u n e 1 0 , 2 0 1 4 NEW TECHNOLOGY FROM TAMARACK PROVIDES PEACE OF MIND Tamarack Technologies Inc., creator of the "Modern Whole House Fan" and well-known for leading the industry for over 20 years in energy efficient prod- ucts, announces break-through technolo- gy for alternative cooling and year-round ventilation. Answering the ICC code requiring R49 insulation in the ceiling, the new HV series line of whole house fans have R-50 insulation in their Positive Sealing Doors. The development of Vacuum Insulated Panels (V.I.P.) exceeds building insulation codes and is the preferred solu- tion for new home construction by builders to achieve HERS ratings while providing maximum value and comfort to their clients. For the consumer, the new HV series fans provide peace of mind. The doors are automated and close tight when the fan is shut off. The V.I.P. panels provide an air tight seal and an R-50 barrier between the living area and the attic, assuring energy conservation by prevent- ing air exchange during heating season or on those days when using air condition- ing. Home performance professionals have been recommending Tamarack to their clients for years, replacing their older, noisy and leaky power-hungry box fans of yesteryear. Simply put, they pass a blower door test. Made in the U.S.A., all HV series whole house fans are easy to install, ener- gy efficient and provide space age V.I.P. insulation technology. There is no other fan on the market today that compares to Tamarack, which benefits both the home builder and home owner. We are able to take an image, tex- ture or motif and print it on the glass, with the end product being scratch and UV resistant. Our products are incredi- bly customizable and can be coordinated with any interior design scheme. HDSD: Are you introducing any new products? BF: Yes, we are. We are launching B2, a new collection of interior glass doors. The collection is inspired by European trends and has been in research and BARAZIN ( Cont'd. from p. 1) development for three years. We wanted to offer the market something really spe- cial and trendy. The B2 collection includes both swing and sliding glass doors, and are character- ized by high quality material. There are three possible magnetic latch options – a locking privacy latch, a passage latch (with no lock), and a keyed latch. There are six handle options, which are available in four finishes. The hinges of the doors are unex- posed, so nothing interferes with the visu- al appeal of the door. HDSD: Tell our readers about your trade show objectives. BF: We're excited to introduce the new B2 collection, and we are hoping to con- nect with retailers interested in our prod- ucts. Visit BARAZIN at booth 8-1086. HDSD: Tell our readers about your com- pany. What's your main line of business? GH: Solar Innovations is a single source supplier of U.S. manufactured doors, windows, skylights and glazed structures. We provide customers with custom sys- tems ranging from greenhouses and con- servatories to operable skylights, to fold- ing glass walls, to pivot doors, to window systems and everything in between. We also produce highly specialized wood curtain walls and wood interior conserva- tories, sunrooms and skylights. HDSD: What would you say makes your company unique? GH: Our products, our people and our passion set us apart from the competi- tion. As our name implies, we are con- stantly developing new product lines and new product components to enhance our offerings. Along with ver- tical integration of finishing, strutting, bar bending, hardware manufacturing and more, an in-house test lab has been installed so that our engineers can ensure our products meet air, water, structural and impact codes and our own high performance standards, either for industry testing or project specific testing with third party certification. We also love hosting visitors at our LEED Gold certified corporate office and manufacturing facility. We have many of our products integrated into our corporate headquarters, which helps us to experience life with them and better understand their function. We live, breathe and sleep our products; we love what we do and the team we are a part of. HDSD: What distinguishes your prod- ucts from the competition? GH: Our wide range of products has been extensively tested to meet a variety of testing protocols. As a company, we refuse to 'settle.' Our products are designed to be beautiful, adaptable, func- tional, durable, simple and the highest quality possible. At a time when many manufactur- ers are downsizing or manufacturing overseas, Solar is investing in its local community. Our facility is home to our 140-plus employees and located in the heart of central Pennsylvania, where all of our products are proudly manufac- tured and tested. Because of our size and 15-plus years of experience in the glazing industry, Solar Innovations, Inc. is small enough to know you, yet large enough to 'shock and amaze you' with our innovation. Our team of in-house engineers and designers work hand-in-hand with customers to ensure that their dreams are brought to life. We hope that these high- ly skilled professions, coupled with our 'never say no' customer service provides an unrivaled experience. We never settle for good enough; we create the innova- tions that set industry standards. Solar believes in educating our cus- tomers. We are in the process of setting up AIA courses and scheduling in house and remote training for our products. We hope to help all of our existing and poten- tial customers reach their educational goals as well. For more information, call 800- 618-0669.
