We recommend the VCDS Professional Kit for repair shops. The kit includes the HEX-NET, a USB stick with software, right angle extension, carrying case and 15 support tickets. Simply plug in the USB stick and install VCDS onto your own windows computer, plug in the HEX-NET and access the vehicle. ADN: The VCDS Professional Kit includes 15 support tickets; what does a ticket give you? JD: Support tickets give you access to our over-the-phone vehicle support. Vehicle sup- port covers the use of VCDS to help diag- nose and repair vehicles. One ticket will cover one issue, on one car, for five business days. Most of us doing support at Ross-Tech are former dealer techs with factory training. All of our customers get free product support to make sure they are up and run- ning. If anyone needs assistance installing or setting up the software, we are just a phone call away. ADN: What if you use all 15 tickets? JD: The 15 support ticket package included with the VCDS Professional Kit can be purchased again separately for $300. Our customers can also purchase a single ticket when needed for $40. ADN: How much are updates? Ross-Tech (Cont'd. from p. 1) JD: VCDS software updates are guaran- teed free for one year from the date of purchase. However, we have never charged for software updates in the last 18 years and do not plan to do so. ADN: Do you offer any training? JD: We do not offer formal training classes. We believe learning how to work on the vehicle is more valuable than learning how to click a button. For this reason, we offer diagnostic procedures for free via our YouTube channel: Ross- Tech VCDS.
