Convenience Retailer Show Daily Monday, October 8, 2018 4 Remanufactured Foodservice Products from PMP By Mike Davis, National Sales Manager, PMP Corporation Since 1950, PMP Corporation has been helping petroleum companies and con- venience store owners lower their acqui- sition costs of products for their fuel dis- pensers. Selling through distributors and service companies, PMP has enabled end users to purchase remanufactured petro- leum products that are as good as or bet- ter than OEM items. PMP products, such as dispenser meters, valves, mechanical computers, pumping units, in-the-pump printers, resets, pulsers, visible registers, displays and sensors have all gained a reputation for their durability and high quality. So it shouldn't come as a surprise that PMP decided to increase its line of products to include items inside the con- venience store. PMP is now offering high quality, money-saving remanufactured foodser- vice products, including hot dog roller grills, Merrychef and TurboChef ovens, carbonators, Bunn coffee servers, Taylor flow valves and more. Just like PMP's petroleum related products, all foodser- vice products are meticulously remanu- factured, so PMP can offer a full one year from date-of-installation warranty. As an example, most convenience stores offer hot dogs and other foods cooked on roller grills. Many of these grills run for long hours, sometimes even on a punishing 24/7 regimen. Over time, rollers lose their coating or get scratched, drive chains wear out, moving parts become caked in grease or electrical parts stop working. PMP can take your grill and remanufacture Bred with a Brooklyn Accent Is it any surprise that one of the hottest baby names is "Brooklyn"? Yes, these days Brooklyn is the name to be, the place to be, and for those with guts, the way to be. Damascus Bakeries is all of the above. Since 1930, this third generation family-owned bakery has planted its roots in Brooklyn and baked award-win- ning pitas, lavash and flatbreads, first for its own community and now for many others. Like many proud parents, Damascus Bakeries has chosen the name "Brooklyn" for its newest baby, Brooklyn Bred ® Bistro Breads – a truly artisanal, naturally fermented line of spe- cialty and innovative flatbreads. "We've been 'Bred in Brooklyn since 1930,' so the name Brooklyn Bred was a natural for us," said David Mafoud, Principal and Third-Generation Baker. First out of the ovens have been award-winning pizza crusts, formulated with specialty "00" pizza flour and olive oil, fermented extensively in a controlled environment for an authentic texture and more pronounced flavor. Says Mafoud: "Pizza is all about the bite, and in Brooklyn, that could be the difference between life and death. Okay, I'm exag- gerating – a bit! But, without exception, in Brooklyn, the success of every great pizza starts and finishes with its crust." In addition to a line of these Brooklyn Bred pizza crusts – which can be customized to your favorite shape, size, thickness and for- mula, including a thinner and even crispier Neapolitan variety – Damascus has successfully introduced to market its Brooklyn Bred Bistro Buns, which are "naturally fermented and outspoken on the outside, soft and savory inside – Continued on Page 49 Continued on Page 49 AN INDEPENDENT PUBLICATION NOT AFFILIATED WITH NACS Kimberly Oser Publisher Jules Denton-Card Senior Associate Publisher Lorrie Baumann Editorial Director JoEllen Lowry • Jeanie Catron • Karrie Welborn Associate Editors Yasmine Brown Art Director Jonathan Schieffer Graphic Designer Caitlyn McGrath • Susan Stein Customer Service Managers Jay Watson • Hannah Stefanovich Show Logistics & Distribution Anthony Socci Associate Publisher Marcos Morhaim Senior Account Manager Adrian Chacon • Andy Hartnett • Bo Robinson Account Managers Tara Neal Director of Operations Enrico Cecchi European Sales Convenience Retailer Show Daily is published by Oser Communications Group ©2018 All rights reserved.
