Kitchenware News & Housewares Review Show Daily 8 3 Saturday, March 10, 2018 bikes and an interactive app that fits your budget, lifestyle and fitness level. The Echelon Connect bike, created to rival the competition for pennies on the dollar, offers the ultimate cycling experience paired with Bluetooth tech- nology. Ergonomically customizable, the Connect features an oversized seat that's adjustable in two directions, and a console that modifies to variable height, angle and distance – even flipping over 180 degrees for off bike work outs. Fully padded bullhorn handlebars are perfect for transitioning between pos- tures, and a silent magnetic flywheel offers 32 levels of precisely adjusted resistance, providing challenging work- outs for all fitness levels. Just hop on, set your weights in the dumbbell hold- ers and get ready to pedal toward your goals. When paired with the Echelon Fit app, riders can sync their smart devices to monitor personal stats such as, par- ticipation, distance, calories burned and heart rate (with the additional Echelon monitor). Fully integrated for today's virtual community, data can be linked directly to Facebook, Fitbit ® and Strava accounts. Available on both Apple and Android devices, the Echelon Fit app offers users an array of content, from live and on-demand class- es, to scenic rides, yoga, strength train- ing, warm-ups and more. "We realized there was a demand from consumers who wanted access to a technologically advanced exercise plat- form without the financial investment in Viatek (Cont'd. from p. 1) a fully connected pro series cycle," said Viatek President and Founder Lou Lentine. Enter the Echelon Flex. It's the little brother of the Connect, essentially. With a smaller price tag, footprint and fold-up design, it's perfect for anyone that wants a portable cycle. Equipped with built-in resistance bands and an oversized console to hold your device, it may not have all the features of the Connect, but the app still packs plenty of punch with Flex based workouts. The Echelon Experience is truly refreshing because it provides all the excitement and innovation of any com- petitor, but at a fraction of the price. "Fitness isn't meant to be a status sym- bol, it's a lifestyle," says Lentine. Visit Viatek in booth #L11347, where the Echelon Experience is wait- ing for you. ML: Unglazed clay-pot cooking has been enhancing the flavors of food and supporting the health of ancient civi- lizations for centuries. When I discov- ered rich, intense flavors and amplified nutrient profiles by preparing fresh food in unglazed clay cookware, I cre- ated the VitaClay pot. I wanted to bring the superior results of clay cook- ing into my kitchen for fast and easy family meals. Unglazed clay is a top green choice because it's fast and easy to prepare elegant meals for one or many. KNSD: Why should consumers use VitaClay instead of a stainless steel pot, pressure cooker or glazed pot? ML: High-fire unglazed VitaClay uses its low thermal conductivity and micro- porous properties to heat evenly and to slow simmer foods after quickly bringing to a boil. Because of clay's steady low heat conductivity, it allows you to extract more nutrients, minerals and collagens from bones recipes. Bone broth is slight- ly acidic because vinegar's added to help draw out nutrients into the broth. This contributes to leaching of heavy metals, most notably carcinogenic nickel and Essenergy (Cont'd. from p. 1) excessive amounts of chromium, from cookware made with stainless steel. Heated clay creates a delicate flavor. KNSD: What is a new nourishing tradi- tion for VitaClay? ML: I am very excited about making large-batch bone broth in our newly released Smart Organic Stock Pot and Multi-Crocks. The new stock pot features Steam, Fast, Slow Cooking, Porridge with Delay option and low-temperature Yogurt settings. Unlike a conventional crock pot, the beauty of this clay stock pot is that you get an option to cook fast or slow. You've got dinner options! Because of technological breakthroughs, VitaClay Multi-stock pot is fully programmed for steam/fast cooking for quick meals in 30 minutes to steam or stew and even slow cooking for stock, bone broth or soups up to 10 hours! Most cooking takes less than two hours. We further developed a cook- ing chart and updated recipe book and manual on the web. Any healthy cook really does become a culinary genius, because all it takes is good quality ingre- dients and pushing a button.
