Carrying a credit card can be more convenient and cheaper than writing a check, which involves check fees, stamps, envelopes and mail time. It also offers much more straightforward expense management while handing agribusinesses more operational control. A business cannot block a check in the way it can place blocks on credit cards to better control expens- es and manage employee spending – for example, applying a per transaction or monthly spending cap. Finally, electron- ic data provided by commercial card solutions reduces costs and prevents data entry errors that can occur with paper methods of payment.
