C o n ve n i e n c e Re ta i l e r S h o w D a i l y Th u r s d a y, O c to b e r 9 , 2 0 1 4 3 0 D.R. MOZELEY BUILDING C-STORES SINCE 1958 An interview with Megan Mozeley, Business Development. CRSD: Tell our readers about your com- pany. What is your main line of business? MM: We are a general contracting busi- ness specializing in building convenience stores. CRSD: What would you say makes your company unique? MM: D.R. Mozeley is unique because of our ability to provide a turnkey service consisting of sitework, design-build, pump/tank install and environmental remediation. CRSD: What was the most significant event or series of events affecting your company in the past year? MM: We set a new record for the fastest Kroger fuel center ever built; seven weeks start date to open date. CRSD: What distinguishes your product from the competition? MM: Experience. D.R. Mozeley has been building convenience stores since 1958. We have built over 2,000 C-stores with a completion process as quick as 90- 120 days. CRSD: How do you handle sales? MM: I believe in having a passion for what you sell. I enjoy building relation- ships and staying involved with the industry. Consistency is key, whether it's by sending emails, making phone calls or a knock on the door. Time goes by fast, and it can leave you behind; therefore, I try to keep our marketing material and strategies updated. CRSD: Tell our readers about your trade show objectives, plans, products, promo- tions, etc. MM: My trade show plan is to set a new presence with our new booth design. I want to meet as many people as possible and hope to land a few building opportunities out of it. I plan to attend the seminars and networking events. NACS is a great place for me to learn something new. MIDAX HELPS CLYDE'S MARKET WITH LOYALTY SOLUTION An interview with Gene Edwards, Chief Financial Officer, Clydes Market. CRSD: Tell us a bit about Clyde's Market, your company and the market you serve. GE: Clyde's Market is a family owned convenience store chain located in south- east Georgia. We were established in 1969 in Glennville, Ga. by Clyde Woolard. We currently operate 43 con- venience stores within 72 miles of Glennville, Ga. Our market consists mainly of rural communities, so we adhere to our small town values. CRSD: What do you feel were the technology pain points facing your company, and what lead you to Midax as a solution? GE: In a competitive environment where loyalty programs have become a necessi- ty, we found it difficult to find a loyalty solution that would work with multiple fuel brands and unbranded sites. Midax offered a flexible solution that would integrate seamlessly regardless of the fuel brand. CRSD: Currently, what solutions have you employed? GE: Clyde's Market is cur- rently employing two solu- tions from Midax. We use the Midax loyalty platform and the Midax ACH payment platform. CRSD: Do you feel the solutions provid- ed have ultimately helped to favorably position Clyde's Market against the com- petition? GE: Yes. The Midax ACH payment solu- tion will allow us to gain traction with a customer base that is already educated by the competition. The ACH solution allows us to compete on a level playing field. The Midax loyalty solution has allowed us to reach our customers with innovative programs that our competition does not currently offer. The flexibility of the Midax solution coupled with Midax's willingness to develop cus- tom solutions, will keep us one step ahead of the com- petition. CRSD: Looking into the future, and the relationship you have developed, are you looking at other technology applications provided by Midax? GE: Yes. As an extension of our loyalty and ACH payment solution, we will develop a mobile app with Midax. Because of Midax's ability to perform across multiple fuel brands, we will also look to Midax in the future for a gift card and fleet fuel management solution. LASERWASH 360 RAISING THE STANDARD The LaserWash ® 360 in-bay automatic car wash from PDQ raises the standard for touchless car wash equipment with new revenue-enhancement features and total cost-of-ownership improvements that offers wash operators the opportuni- ty to realize the industry's highest return on investment. Every LaserWash 360 can benefit from its exclusive LaserGlow Illumination Effect System. The LaserGlow system will assist in guiding your customers through the vehicle entry and exit process and it will illumi- nate your bay whether your wash is in use or not! Not only will the LaserGlow System help improve your customer flow, it can also be configured to work for you 24/7/365 by illuminating your wash bay day and night whether there is a vehicle in your bay or not. The system can be programmed to display multiple color combinations of flashing patterns, or constant colored illumination that matches your brand image. A glow from your wash bay can be a highly effective marketing tool to draw more attention to your wash site, encouraging con- sumers to take notice and keep your existing customers coming back again and again. LaserGlow is available on new equipment or as a retrofit kit for installed LaserWash 360s. PDQ's LaserWash 360 also offers an integrated dryer option which can be coupled with the unique FlashDry ® High- Volume Spot-Free Rinse serv- ice. FlashDry requires no additional time for a basic dry by completing the rinse and dry cycles in a single, simul- taneous operation. Developed on the principal that it is easier to remove water that is already in motion, FlashDry technology simultaneously rinses and dries in a single pass. This option allows greater package differen- tiation, giving operators the ability to up-sell customers for increased revenue and profitability. These options, plus the new OverGlow High Gloss Application System, will provide your customers a high quality wash and dry second to none. A "keep it simple" design goal mini- mizes the need for sensors, grease fit- tings, swivels and valves, while the use of common electrical components through- out the system allows easier troubleshoot- ing, minimizes regu- lar maintenance costs and delivers consis- tent high-quality cleaning. Additionally, the LaserWash 360 is built in non-corro- sive materials, providing operators a rugged machine that will deliver a long, reliable life of revenue generation. Feel comfortable in your decision to purchase PDQ Equipment. It is proud to be part of Dover Corporation – A Fortune 500 Company. To learn more about the PDQ ProTouch ICON, visit booth #5938.
