H a rd wa re & H o u s e wa re s Re vi e w Th u r s d a y, M a y 8 , 2 0 1 4 2 0 CONSERVCO EXPANDS WATERFALL SHOWERHEAD LINE ConservCo ® has announced the expan- sion of its Waterfall™ showerhead line: the introduction of its new Yosemite™ series. The new fixtures complement the existing Multnomah™ and Victoria™ series, which the company sells world- wide. ConservCo's Waterfall Series Showerheads are luxurious, full-flow, multi-function heads. The new Yosemite series of Waterfall showerheads is named after the famous Yosemite Falls in California. Available in two designer finishes, chrome and gold, the showerheads offer five different spray patterns and include a shutoff position to restrict water flow to a trickle. While the heads flow rate is 2.5gpm, the shutoff feature allows con- sumers to save water when shampooing or lathering. The new Yosemite showerheads are packaged as a dual showerhead "Combo- Pack" that includes both a fixed shower- head and a handheld shower together in one kit. "We believe our Combo-Pack con- figuration offers consumers great value," said Tony Termini, head of the compa- ny's sales and marketing efforts. The Combo-Pack includes two showerheads and a three-way diverter. With the divert- er, the two showerheads can work inde- pendently or together in one bath. Or, the consumer can separate them and use one showerhead in one bath and the second in a different bath. "It's like a 'buy one – get one free' value every day of the week," added Termini. ConservCo has been sell- ing showerheads since 2008, and the introduction of the Yosemite series expands its full line to 13 models. "These new products are the answer to what consumers and retailers told us was most important to them: a full-flow fixture with multiple functions at a moderate price. And, we delivered," Termini continued. ConservCo's Waterfall Series of multi-function showerheads retail for what many manufactures offer a single function showerhead. Waterfall showerheads come in retail packaging that includes vivid imagery of cascading waterfalls. The presentation is bright, boldly colorful and visually appealing. It conveys a compelling message to consumers and provides retailers with a high margin, high turn opportunity. About ConservCo ConservCo manufactures and dis- tributes consumer plumbing prod- ucts worldwide. The company's recognized brands include ConservCo, Waterfall, DripStop ® and Rubber Duckie & Friends™. ECO-HEATER: EFFECTIVE, EFFICIENT, ECONOMICAL ECO-heaters are wall-mounted convec- tion space heaters that use 70 percent less energy than typical 1,500 watt space heaters, warming a typical bedroom using only 400 watts. ECO-heaters can be painted to match the wall color, and plug into a wall outlet. The ECO-heater model T400 is the only wall-mounted convection space heater of its kind to have a built-in digital thermostat, so the room maintains a con- sistent temperature. ECO-heaters use Silent-Flow™ technology. Instead of a noisy fan mov- ing air around a room, the natural process of convection is used to keep warm air circulating through a space. The air between the unit and the wall warms up and rises, and then cooler air is drawn in at the bottom, which in turn, is warmed and rises, so this cycle results in warm air circulating throughout the room silently. Made of ceramic, ECO-heaters are ideal for heating rooms varying in size from about 10 feet by 12 feet up to 10 feet by 20 feet dimensions, depending on the room design, building materials and construction. It has a slim and versatile design, making it easy to integrate into most any room. The ECO-heater is easily installed in about 15 minutes and plugs in to a wall outlet. The surface can be paint- ed with water- based latex paint, so it blends into any decor. E m p l o y i n g zone heating allows people to warm areas where it is needed, and not waste energy warming their entire home. Instead of wasting energy to heat unoc- cupied or unused space, the ECO-heater only heats where and when you want it to. Lower your gas, propane, electric or oil-burning furnace to implement ECO- heater zone heating and start saving money right away. Visit ECO-heater at booth 4415. Usually, people think of grilling burgers, chick- en and fish on grill for lunch and din- ner, but no one ever thinks of using it for breakfast. Here, Chef George Duran lets us in on his breakfast recipe for grilled pancakes, so that everyone can enjoy breakfast, lunch and dinner on the grill! Grilled Chocolate Chip and Bacon Pancakes, courtesy of Chef George Duran and COOKINA Ingredients 6 slices thick cut bacon or 8 slices thin bacon 1 cup pancake mix 3/4 cup milk 1 egg 1 tablespoon vegetable oil Mini chocolate chips Maple syrup Directions 1. In a medium bowl, combine the pancake mix with the milk, egg and oil. The batter should be the consistency of thick, heavy cream. Add more milk, 1 tablespoon at a time, if neces- sary. Set aside. 2. Place your COOKINA Barbecue Reusable Grilling Sheet on your grill and pre-heat your gas grill to about 325˚ F or 160˚ C. Once it's warm, line slices of bacon on your COOKINA ® . Allow to cook slowly for 15-25 min- utes, flipping them often, until fat is rendered and bacon looks crisp. Set aside and allow to cool before chop- ping finely. Wipe excess bacon grease with a paper towel and tongs, leaving a little amount to cook pancakes on. 3. Make sure your gas heat is at its lowest heat and pour 1/4 c. batter throughout your COOKI- NA. Scatter some chopped bacon and mini chocolate chips evenly over each pancake. Cook until bubbles form in the top and the bottom is gold- en brown. Flip and cook the other side until it is golden brown. Remove from pan and keep warm while you make the rest of the pancakes. 4. Serve pancakes with maple syrup, if desired. Makes about 8 pancakes. TEKNOR APEX: TECHNOLOGY MEETS PURPOSE You don't get to be a global leader unless you understand the user experi- ence of your customers – and design for it. That's been the driving force behind the success of Teknor Apex since 1924, and it's plainly evident in their diverse line of NeverKink ® hoses. Whether used in a backyard garden or a farm that feeds thousands, the technology shared by every NeverKink vinyl hose is groundbreaking. Teknor's patented NTS ® Reflex Mesh ® technology features a mesh net- work of reinforcement that's guaranteed to eliminate kinks, twists and tangles. Hoses remain straight, flexible and easy to maneuver in any environment. Diversity of purpose has created a line with a solution for every use. Teknor's new NeverKink Lite, being introduced at this year's National Hardware Show, is making news because of its weight – there's 30 percent less of it! This new hose joins a team of five proven winners, all engineered for different demands, yet sharing Teknor's signature of excellence. Terms like "heavy duty," "high strength" and "industrial grade" perfectly apply to four of Teknor's toughest NeverKink products – the Heavy Duty, Extra Heavy Duty, Commercial, and Farm & Ranch hoses. In demanding, high-use situations, even in the harshest weather, these workhorses are built to get the job done. The Boat & Camper hose is drinking water safe, NSF certified and features Teknor's exclusive Thum Thing ® coupling, which makes attaching to a faucet easier than ever before. For seven decades, Teknor Apex has remained flexible enough to stay current, yet uncompromising when it comes to quality standards. Now, with the introduc- tion of a new product to their NeverKink line, the company has once again proven that all hoses lead to Teknor Apex. Visit Teknor Apex in room N225.
