F o o d E q u i p m e n t N e w s F r i d a y, F e b r u a r y 8 , 2 0 1 3 5 6 EMILE HENRY: TRADITIONAL MANUFACTURING, TOP QUALITY Founded in 1850, and located in Marcigny, a small town in the province of Burgundy, France, Emile Henry has established a worldwide reputation for manufacturing the finest quality ceramic ovenware, cook- ware and tableware products. Still owned and operated by the Henry family, the company today manufactures all of their products from Burgundy clay using their proprietary Ceradon® and Flame® state- of-the-art manufacturing processes. Worldwide, professional chefs appreciate Emile Henry for the many products and shapes that are properly designed for cook- ing and baking. The new Gastron collec- tion is made of the Ceradon, an excellent thermal diffuser, that remains hot or cold longer than other materials. Highly resist- ant to thermal shocks (-4 degrees Fahrenheit to 500 degrees Fahrenheit) and mechanical shocks, these dishes are chip resistant even in the most hectic of kitchens. The glazes, fired at a very high temperature (2100 degrees Fahrenheit), are scratch resistant. The hard glaze is absolutely smooth and non-porous, which makes cleaning easy and reduces the time and labor to clean baked on food. The dish- es are perfectly hygienic and stackable for compact storage. Emile Henry is certified ISO 9001. Visit booth #4232 for more information. Contact the company at foodservice@emilehenryusa.com. WITH PLUMBING, IT'S THE LITTLE THINGS THAT COUNT Many people mistakenly believe that all foodservice plumbing is alike. As more restaurant chains and non-commercial oper- ators are finding out, Component Hardware's Encore® plumbing line incor- porates thoughtful design details that make a significant difference in functionality and performance. Leaking faucets and pre-rinse hoses are not only annoying, they are wasteful. Encore's unique washer-less design uses two temperature resistant O-rings to provide a positive leak proof seal. Unlike competi- tors' hoses, our pre-rinse hose features a heavy-duty, solid stainless steel strain relief coil to transfer load stress, significantly improving hose life by as much as 50 per- cent. If the hose does finally crack, the 3-ply Santoprene® inner hose will still prevent leaks. Electronic faucets are a water-saving alternative to manual plumbing. Component Hardware offers a complete range of options, including capacitive sens- ing faucets that only respond to animate objects and motion sensor faucets. Designed for years of trouble-free service, these faucets can save up to 70 percent of water consumption compared to standard faucets. Component Hardware even offers an easy-to-install hands-free battery-pow- ered faucet adapter that simply screws on to the spout. In less than 5 minutes, anyone can convert a manual faucet to an electronic faucet. Encore metering faucets are a non-elec- tronic approach to water control. Metering faucets control both the water's flow and duration. The One-Tap™ metering aerator retrofits most conventional faucets. It's easy to install and easy to use. Just tap the button on the end of the aerator and water flows until the 2 to 20 second adjustable time-out is reached. Soap dispensers are going hands- free, too. The new SmartSoap™ counter mount dispenser automati- cally detects the user's hand and dis- penses a measured dose of concen- trated soap. Disposable refills include a new pump and delivery tube, eliminating mess, clogs and leaks. Less packaging waste and fewer chemicals down the drain means it's more environmentally friendly. One of the easiest and most cost effec- tive ways to reduce water consumption is through the use of low flow aerators. Encore faucets are available with low-flow aerators that deliver as little as .5 gallons of water per minute and our new KLF-Y104 3-position variable flow pre-rinse boasts an industry- best .59gpm. Have you ever seen a pre-rinse grip wrapped in a towel? Encore's exclusive Kool Grip™ reduces heat transfer to the hand to maximize comfort. Testing has shown that Kool Grip stays 30 degrees cool- er than competitors' grips, even after pro- longed use. All Encore plumbing features SANIGUARD® antimicro- bial product protection as stan- dard on handles and grips to inhibit the growth of microor- ganisms that can cause stains, odors and product deteriora- tion. Under normal cleaning conditions, SANIGUARD will provide continuous antimicrobial prod- uct protection for the useful life of the prod- uct. With all of these standard premium features, you might think that Encore plumbing is expensive. In fact, Encore is very competi- tively priced. Compared side by side to the competition, Encore provides more value, performance, and reliability than any other plumbing available. See the complete Encore line at Component Hardware's booth #619 at NAFEM. For more information, visit www.componen- thardware.com or call 800-526-3694. TECUMSEH'S NEW GENERATION III OUTDOOR CONDENSING UNITS PACKED WITH FEATURES Tecumseh's new Gen III Outdoor con- densing units are designed specifically for refrigeration applications where reli- able cooling is required under varying loads and operating conditions. At the heart of every Gen III Unit is a perform- ance-proven Tecumseh compressor, built with exacting standards to handle the rig- ors of commercial refrigeration. Ideal applications include walk-in coolers and freezers for commercial end- use markets such as convenience stores, restaurants, cafeterias and fast food out- lets. Base condensing unit models are packed with features such as filter driers, a suction-line accumulator, an oversized receiver tank, pressure controls, service valves, a defrost timer and a crank-case heater. Heated receivers, as well as fixed and adjustable condenser fan controls are offered as available options. Generously sized condenser coils ensure that the unit maintains case tem- perature even when outdoor ambient air temperatures exceed seasonal norms. The open enclosure design improves airflow and contributes to the condensing unit's overall performance and reliability. Gen III Outdoor condensing units are equipped with an easy-to-remove access panel for ready access to the elec- trical panel, compressor, operating con- trols and revised compressor mounting system for improved serviceability. All- in-one service access allows side-by-side installation of units, reducing the time required for maintenance. The oversized receiver tank accom- modates a larger refrigerant charge insur- ing proper system operation over a broad range of ambient conditions. Gen III's compact footprint provides flexibility of condensing unit mounting locations. A premium heavy-duty galvanized corrosion resistant steel enclosure pro- tects the condensing unit's mechanical and electrical components from rain, sleet, snow and other elements that can shorten product life and performance. Three base sizes are available to ensure the footprint is scaled with unit capacity. Single and dual fan models are available ranging from 1/2 to 7-1/4 HP, compatible with refrigerants R22 and R404A. The Gen III product line includes models that are capable of han- dling high, medium and low temperature applications.
