FEN: Do you see any specific trends in the hospitality market? KP: As stated before, hotels, resorts and food and beverage executives like the linen- less look with a good-looking base. Decision makers will have a great opportu- nity to see Maywood Furniture's latest offering. On another positive note, this offering is not only esthetically pleasing, but very competitively priced. Conference cen- ters will also want to see our latest line of conference tables. FEN: How do you see the economy for 2013 and for the following few years? KP: I believe the economy has finally turned the corner. We might never get to where we were a few years ago, but I see a lot of optimism both domestically and inter- nationally. With so many in the hospitality market having postponed their purchases the last few years and with our new product offering, Maywood Furniture is poised for this new demand. It is also a big help that Maywood is specified by almost every major hotel chain and has one of the fastest lead times in the market. FEN: Any final thought on this year's NAFEM? KP: We are just so excited to show our product line to our existing customers and those that are not totally familiar with Maywood Furniture. Thank you for helping us to spread the Maywood name to the hos- pitality market. For more information, visit booth #1888 at the NAFEM Show. After the show, visit www.maywood.com, call 1-800-238-6797 or email kenp@maywood.com. MAYWOOD FURNITURE POISED TO MEET DEMAND WITH NEW LINE OF TABLES An interview with Ken Persson, V.P. of Sales & Marketing, Maywood Furniture Corp. Being in the industry for 30 years, Ken has seen many changes, but believes it is more dynamic now than ever before. FEN: What are your thoughts for NAFEM 2013? KP: I have never been more excited about this year's show with a new unique light- weight line of linen-less tables and several product enhancements to our existing line of tables to showcase this year. Some of our largest installations the last few years were right here in Orlando. FEN: How many years has Maywood exhibited at NAFEM? KP: As Maywood Furniture, we have exhibited at the last seven shows, but being in the business for more than 90 years, our line of square leg banquet tables, called the Original Series®since 1999, has seen many NAFEM shows. FEN: What type of traffic do you want coming to your booth? KP: We are booth No. 1888 and we want all decision makers, including representatives, dealers, buying groups, purchasing compa- nies, hotel management companies, resorts, clubs, food and beverage executives at major hotel chains and international organi- zations. Hope we didn't leave anyone out.
