RP: SCT is easily able to do what other companies find very difficult because our own driver chip technology centered on the common cathode architecture. Since our drive technology produces less heat, uses less energy than any other system we are able to run far more pixels of the display with a single chip than anyone else. Also, since each driver chip can handle 128 pixels at 2,000 Hz, we can have the LED SMD packages on one side of the board and the driver chips on the other negating the need for plug in boards of driver chips as other have to do when creating displays of 4mm or less pixel pitch. BSD: What was the most significant event or series of events affecting your company in the past year? LG: We launched three satellites in 2012, bolstering our transmission capacity in markets where demand is fastest-growing. We also unveiled SAT>IP, a groundbreaking technology that allows satellite signals to be distributed in the IP protocol to tablet computers, PCs and other smart Digital Rebellion (Con't. from p. 1) and iOS products, with Android apps coming soon. We have tens of thousands of professional customers worldwide including most of the major broadcasters in the U.S.A. BSD: What new products are you introducing at the show? JC: We're launching two products this year. The first is our cloud-based collaboration and workflow tool called Kollaborate. This is a website that allows you to manage projects and teams, upload files and create new workflows – currently in public beta. The second is Cut Notes 2.0 – a complete redesign of our iPad app for taking timecoded notes during a screen- BSD: What do you believe is the market for your LED video technology? RP: TV broadcast studios, stages, corporate boardrooms and lobbies. Any customer that is looking for the absolute best large area display technology that can be built into any size or shape without unsightly seems or borders of any kind. We truly believe that we are on our way to creating a modular technology that will one day available for everyone to use to put displays onto any surface that they wish and fill it with any kind of video, photographic or information from the Internet. BSD: How is your technology better than LCD, Plasma or other technologies that are available? RP: For a variety of very technical, verifiable and very obvious visual differ- SKB water-jet cutting system, rental and production companies will find just the right case for their needs in SKB's semicustom cases. LG: Ultra-HDTV is one of the next trends for viewers in the U.S. and the big media companies are taking a serious look at ways to satisfy the market's hunger for even better resolution. With an increase of about four times the current HD resolution, Ultra-HDTV is like 3D without glasses, and it promises to drive satellite capacity in three to five years. ing. We've listened to your feedback and have made significant changes to the UI as well as adding timecode sync support with Pro Tools, Adobe Audition, Final Cut Pro X and Kollaborate. BSD: There are a lot of cloud video platforms. What makes yours different? JC: It's not just a video review platform, it's a file sharing and project management tool with an emphasis on metadata. Another way to think about it might be Dropbox meets ScreenLight meets Basecamp meets iCloud. One key area that separates us is that we have a lot of existing products for desktop and mobile, which Kollaborate integrates with very tightly. You can view dailies on the move in CinePlay and sync your notes on a cut with Cut Notes. Cut ences, we are just the best technology available for large screens. Our viewing angle, brightness, color saturation, frame rate, contrast, black levels and seamless modularity are just flat out better than any technology that currently exists for large area displays greater than 150 inches diagonal. We put a 1mm by 1mm full color light engine into each pixel to insure that every byte of data from an HD signal is perfectly represented to the audience. BSD: There must be some disadvantages to even your product, can you fill us in? RP: Yes, due to the massive amount of LED pixels (more than 277,000 per square meter), this product is for the customers willing to invest in the very best large area display solution. We also have our Peony 2.6 and Tulip 3.9mm products that allow customers to get the advantage power supply or an external hard drive. The bottom of the case features a built in 3/8-inch female thread which allows the case to be attached to tripod stand. The 3i-221710PMW includes custom ELE foam that securely holds the Sony PMWF3 camera body, three lenses, memory cards, batteries, boom mic and cables. This case includes in-line skate wheels and pull handle. Other custom interiors are available for the Panasonic HPX-370, Canon C300, Panasonic AGAC160PJ, Red Scarlet X, JVC GY-HM790 and Red Rock Micro DSLR rigs. After the show we're planning additional integration with many of our popular applications including Post Haste and Preference Manager. BSD: Where do you plan to take Kollaborate next? JC: We're planning even tighter integration with our applications including automatic dailies import via Auto Transfer and automatic cloud project backups through Pro Versioner.We'll also be looking at ways to increase the customizability of the site, more ways to gather metadata and more ways to present it to the user in a meaningful form. 65 of our amazing technology for less of an investment on a per square meter basis. RP: We will soon be releasing our Magnolia 1.5mm product that will allow a 1080p display to be created with a diagonal measurement of 130 inches as opposed to the Orchid 1.9mm's 165 inches.
