Produce Show Daily 3 7 Thursday, October 19, 2017 Zumex Committed to Life Essence An interview with Silvia Pérez, Communication & Marketing Manager, Zumex ® Group. PSD: Which machines does Zumex offer for businesses with high juice demand? SP: Zumex has a wide portfolio of solu- tions for the extraction of fruits and veg- etables, capable of adapting to different consumption contexts, from small cafete- rias to restaurant chains, hotels or large businesses with high juice demand. In the case of establishments with a great demand for high quality juice, our Versatile Pro and Speed Pro have a per- fect portfolio of options, for their per- formance, resistance and ease of use. But if a business, cafeteria, bar or restaurant has an average demand for juice, we have professional solutions that bring together everything necessary to offer the best freshly squeezed fruit juice, such as our Minex, Essential or Multifruit machines. In addition, in the case of supermar- kets, convenience stores, universities, hotels, gyms ... which have large open spaces, we also have very useful proposals that allow enjoying anytime and anywhere a healthy snack, such as our podium mod- els of Zumex self-service machines. These machines even allow users to instantly squeeze their own fruit juice. PSD: How can people use your juicers? What can they cook or create with your juicers? SP: The possibilities offered by our pro- fessional juicers are multiple; for exam- ple, citrus, fruit and vegetable juices. Endless combinations with apples, kiwis or pineapples, as well as carrots, cucum- bers, celery or ginger. In this sense, in addition to the usual contexts of use (breakfasts, brunch, accompaniment of meals, snacks), proposals like Multifruit ® are also ideal to serve in other con- texts as great allies of bar- tenders or juice bars. The magic of juice is infecting the population, but there are many other recipes that can be developed thanks to our professional multi-juicer Multifruit and our cold press machine, Mastery. PSD: What about the future of blenders, mixers and commercial juicers? How important will they become for kitchens and restaurants? SP: At Zumex we are committed to what we call Life Essence, a different way of understanding and enjoying a healthy lifestyle model with benefits for the body and mind. Quite recently, the World Health Organization warned of the imperative need to address a change in diet and strengthen the presence of fruits and vegetables. We firmly believe that this is the way. Healthy eating is a popular wave that is gaining strength and it has come to stay. We have always endorsed this trend through our cam- paigns in defense of the benefits of fruit and vegetable juices, and aiming to strengthen it we have developed tech- nologies of fruit and vegetable squeezing such as our professional multifruit juicer or our semi-industrial Mastery machine, a reinterpretation of a cold press system. In this context, we think that new concepts of food are emerging and pro- mote the so-called green juices that have led to the proliferation of important juice bar chains. These new concepts are also reaching restaurants, with cold soups, liquefied snacks, vegetable sauces, etc. Therefore, there are many ways to inte- grate our machines in these spaces. For brick-and-mortar stores, omnichan- nel is the golden ticket for achieving the ultimate retail experience. With new technology advancing daily, every store has the potential to transform itself into the ultimate experience center. Using personalization systems and tools to tie online activity to in-store interactions, decision makers can gather data from numerous systems, rapidly analyze it and use the results to upgrade stores and cater to every customer need. Let's look at the solutions available to help you achieve an omnichannel cus- tomer experience. In-store Beacons Personalization is a significant compo- nent of the omnichannel experience. Knowing who is entering your store and when is the first step, which is where location-based beacons come in. Integrated with your store app, beacons let you send personalized greetings to customers' smartphones upon entry and even let them know about current sale items based on previous purchases. These tools can also be used to suggest items for purchase that are not on sale but are relevant to the shopper. It's important to remember that some alerts are viewed as intrusive by customers, so limit notifi- cations and make sure they're useful. Push notifications, such as a coupon for the next time the customer shops at your store, are a great way to foster loyalty and keep shoppers coming back. Curbside Notification Create a seamless curbside pickup process for customers who order items online. Provide cus- tomers with a text or an email when their order is complete instead of an "esti- mated time frame," so they know exactly when their item is ready. When customers arrive for pickup, they can respond via text saying, "I'm here." Alternately, beacons at designated parking spaces can send notification via the store app directly to the associate gathering that customer's product. SMS text technology and two-way radios allow retailers to provide real-time serv- ice at the point of pickup. Customers are able to save time and leave feeling delighted. Digital Shopping Journey Technology like queue management sys- tems and motion-sensor cameras shorten time spent in checkout lines. Instead of waiting for an associate to notice the lines are too long and call in back up, this technology ensures customers never have to wait long to check out – a key part to keep- ing them coming back. Smart cameras can also assist with loss preven- tion to ensure managers are on top of everything that is happening on the sales floor. When you stay a step ahead of the shopper, you can orchestrate their experience for them. Combining each of these pieces is critical in transforming your store into an experi- ence center. By linking in-store tools with customer data, you can create an ideal omnichannel journey for your in- store customers. With the right technolo- gy, proper training for associates and employee access to customer data, that personalized, efficient shopping experi- ence will position you far ahead of the competition.
