An interview with Chris Colwell, Senior Vice President, Sales. GN: Congratulations on Cole Kepro International's selection as the 2015 winner of best new slot cabinet at this year's G2E. Please give us a little history on Cole Kepro before we get into what to expect at G2E and your special new cabinet – the Evolver Radius. CC: Thank you very much. The whole CKI team is as excited as it has ever been heading into G2E. Cole Kepro has been making slot cabinets and other preci- sion sheet metal solutions for over 20 years. About COLE KEPRO INTERNATIONAL PROVIDES INNOVATIVE SOLUTIONS FOR GAMING INDUSTRY In the gaming industry, it's said that change is the only constant – from game preferences and casi- no design to the growing focus on Millennials (which are now one-third of the U.S. population). Another major change underway for the gaming sector is the trend for smokefree casinos. Today, more than 82 percent of the U.S. adult pop- ulation are nonsmokers – a big shift from just a decade ago. There is now more awareness of the health hazards of secondhand smoke, including cancer, heart disease, heart attacks, asthma and COPD. Generations past might have associated indoor smok- ing with restaurants, bars, offices, airplanes – and casinos. Online gaming has become a billion dollar industry that straddles continents, engaging mil- lions of people from all walks of life and demographics. However, with this success has come the serious risk of high-tech fraud. The flow of money within online gaming is plain to see, as customers play a variety of games, from roulette to poker to blackjack and slot machines. Customers are using real world money in virtual environments. The online gambling industry will be worth an estimated $41.4 billion by the end of 2015 (www.statista.com/ statistics/270728/market-volume-of-online-gaming-world wide and www.vimeo.com/ondemand/ultimatebeat). Trust High 5 Games has seen sig- nificant growth since its launch in the European RMG market in November 2014. The exciting and extremely positive response to H5G's inaugural European game release with Gamesys Ltd., Golden Knight at Virgin Games and Jackpotjoy Sweden, and Valkyrie Queen and Vivaldi's Seasons at Heart Bingo, drove the demand for more games on more casinos. High 5 Games is gearing up, through its dedicated HTML5 development team in London and New York, to begin a major new push into the mobile sector. Shadow of the Panther, one of H5G's best performing games of all time, will have its world premiere in HTML5 format at the company's booth #2430 at G2E. The East Coast Gaming Congress & iGaming Institute, scheduled for May 25-26, 2016 and now in its 20th year, is the gaming industry's second- largest conference and an essential forum for examining and coordinat- ing ideas regarding the future of online and land-based gaming. The future of the industry requires a synchro- nized, holistic approach, and ECGC has risen to meet that challenge with an approach that is simply the best way to address igaming, land-based gaming and all gaming-related issues. ECGC is designed to make sure that all the critical issues – starting with Internet wagering – are dealt with in the same forum. All the Continued on Page 45 Eye health professionals around the world are increasingly concerned about exposure to blue light in a screen-obsessed generation.
