BFC HELPS IMPROVE PRODUCTIVITY AND TRACEABILITY By Sam Flannery, V.P. of Marketing and Sales BFC is the only stand-alone (bolt on), real time, best of breed warehouse man- agement system that was designed specifically for food distribution. From receiving, which features our User Defined Product Control Module (never again miss HACCP and other important data gathering), through our Directed and Virtual Slot putaway to our multilayered Replenishment process, you can be assured that the right product is received and lot tracked with Cool Chain integrity. Knowing, real time, where everything is located on your warehouse floor is the first step toward perfect order distribution. On the outbound side, BFC features the completely unique TruckBuilder ® module. TruckBuilder is the Load and Pallet Optimization software that ensures every route for every truck is loaded exactly like your company requires and that every pallet on the truck will be selected with a custom pick path and pick methodology. You can choose single pass-single pallet pick, single pass-dou- ble pallet pick or even single pass-triple pallet pick and do so by warehouse zone. TruckBuilder then generates the selection labels and issues voice com- mands. The system allows complete flexibility in the usage of any combination of scanning and voice selection. With TruckBuilder, you will see the perfect truck and the perfect pallet every time and do so with the least cost and the least time and distance traveled. Once the perfect pallets are selected, the BFC Loader Module ensures that the right pallet is loaded through the right door onto the right pallet position on the right truck. Once the perfect order truck leaves the dock, the BFC TRAX-Perfect Order delivery System takes over to control, via barcode scan, the delivery off of the truck. The system includes signature cap- ture and perfect order receipt. One thing that is known with certainty is that PTI and FSMA regula- tions are going to mandate the complete tracking, con- trol and record keeping of every lot to include cool chain integrity. BFC is ready and able to provide that level of compliance and traceability right now, which is a distinct competitive advantage for our existing and future clients. Please visit booth #2384 at the FMI/United Fresh show to find out how BFC can help you become the very best that you can be with high productivity and full traceability. This new dryer is based on HMI's industry standard batch dryer, the benchmark in the fresh cut industry. The design concept, driven by Heinzen's customers input, provides an automated version of its existing dry- ers while retaining flexibility and scala- bility. Designed to operate as a linear array, the system can be expanded from a single drum to a multi drum system. This feature greatly reduces the floor space required for expansion and supports a pre-engineered upgrade path when addi- tional volume is required. The AB300 is designed to the high- est sanitary standards and operates as a single centrifuge fully supported from one end. The drum is designed to rotate to gently discharge product once the spin cycle is complete. This new design fea- tures an end mounted cen- trifuge drum connected to an electric drive system. The centrifuge is available in two sizes: the large size drum is ideal for iceberg, romaine and cabbage, and the smaller drum is ideal for more deli- cate products such as spinach and spring mix products. HMI specializes in complete sys- tems integration and continues to inno- vate and update its product lines to meet the every changing need of the industry. Heinzen's vibratory product line contin- ues to expand and develop, and has proven to be full of world class machines. Heinzen's three-tier optical feed shaker features a 17/16-inch (27mm) stroke in widths up to 68 inches (1700mm) wide. The company offers a complete line of vibrato- ry dewatering conveyors with fully integrated filtration and process water tanks. Heinzen engi- neered process solutions have a proven design for all your process requirements with a full line of scale feed and distri- bution vibratory conveyors.
