H o s p i ta l i t y & D e s i g n S h o w D a i l y W e d n e s d a y, J u n e 1 1 , 2 0 1 4 8 If you haven't stopped by the Fire Farm Lighting booth yet this week, you should! This relative newcomer to NeoCon brings a fresh look at what can be done with lighting. Don't be fooled, though; Fire Farm has been fabricating lighting for 23 years now. It has been focused on the hospitality and residential market and is now offering its services to the contract and commercial market. Yes, services, not just products. Fire Farm is one of the few companies in the industry that can build bespoke lighting for your project. You don't have to design around off-the shelf offerings with Fire Farm. You can define your specs and the company will work with you to engineer and fabricate it. Fire Farm will do this for short runs, large runs, small fixtures or large chandeliers. Fire Farm is really a hard-to-find resource for those looking to make projects stand out in the crowd. The Fire Farm product offering is real- ly unique and diverse as well – a reflection of all the unusual mate- rials and solutions it has worked with in its custom work. You may not need to go any further to find something truly different and distinctive for your project. Adam Jackson Pollock, the Founder and Creative Director of Fire Farm, said, "Contract has always been part of our market mix but not a primary focus. We see a lot of new opportunity in this seg- ment of the market as the recession fades and the workplace becomes mobile." If you are looking for LED solu- UNIQUE, DIVERSE OFFERINGS FROM FIRE FARM LIGHTING UNIKA VAEV ADDS TO COLLECTION OF UNIQUE ACOUSTIC PRODUCTS Unika Vaev is delighted to introduce exciting new collections of acoustical product solutions that broaden its existing family of products designed to address the growing needs of the commercial, educa- tional and institutional markets for solu- tions to reflected and reverberant noise. Last year at NeoCon, Unika Vaev presented its felt-faced polyester ecoustic panel product line and its Moov acousti- cal tile product. Both products have been enthusiastically embraced throughout North America as a result of their ability to absorb noise and their design appeal, ease of installation, environmental respect and price point. Collaborative environments create energy. Regrettably, a byproduct of col- laborate energy may be too much noise which diminishes the collaboration that we originally sought in workplaces and social settings. Through the application of its products, Unika Vaev wishes to absorb excess noise and return "open" spaces to their intended purpose. As has been recognized by many, "we must design for the ears, not just the eyes." Twister Designed by Masoud Alavi and Kim Fridbjorg, Twister embraces artistic beau- ty while offering superior sound absorp- tion. This carefully handcrafted, patterned wool felt acoustic panel collection pro- duces a room that is pleasing to both the eye and the ear. With NRC ratings rang- ing between .65 and .95, the Twister series offers solutions that address sound absorption and design choice. Twister is available in 10 patterns and 34 felt colors. Individual Twister panels are 35 square inches (88 sq. cm) and are available in frameless or a variety of finished framed versions that are all designed to match on all four sides. Put two, four or more together to create a whole new unique pattern. The combina- tions are endless. ecoustic Foliar ecoustic Foliar by Instyle is a modular sound absorbent wall tile system. With a noise reduction coefficient of .70, this organically inspired design is a credible solution to excess noise and adds a delightful, playful, fresh feel to any space. This acoustical system can be combined with Unika Vaev's non- acoustic Foliar system to create beautiful arrangements of color, texture and sound a b s o r b e n c y . Ecoustic Foliar is available in five matte base colors and 64 combina- tions of Foliar leaf inserts. The ecoustic Tile Collection This modern acoustical tile collection is originally comprised of three products – Domino, Linear and Matrix. The Collection was designed to permit inter- active surfaces to be arranged during each product's installation to create design and acoustical solutions that are appropriate for any space. Produced by Instyle using 50 percent post-consumer polyester, Domino, Linear and Matrix are well-priced and are easy to install using supplied fixtures. The tiles can be used on walls or ceilings to add a visual representation to percepti- ble sound quality improvement. The tiles are available in all 16 colorways of Unika Vaev's ecoustic Felt textile product line and provide noise reduction coefficient rating of .70.
