Given the amazing state of technology within the field of education, this sentiment could not ring more true. "Now" is a wondrous time. How incredibly fortunate are we to be living during the very infancy of the digital age? As a company with 30 years of service providing printed books, e-books and digital resources to PreK-12 schools and students, Mack in Educational Resources recognizes the magical quality of the world as we move toward this juncture. Keeping in step with this change, Mackin has consciously blended our roots as a provider of printed materials and merged them with our new digital initiatives. Spring of 2010 gave birth to MackinVIA™, our eResource management portal. A few months later, in the fall of 2012, we launched our digital reader and apps for four separate tablet platforms: iPad, Android, Kindle and Nook, allowing our customers to access their Mackin digital content from our cloud. Two additional desktop apps EPSON DC-20 CAMERA HAS VALUE IN THE CLASSROOM As technology in the classroom continues to advance, educators need tools to facilitate visual learning, increase classroom interaction and enhance the overall K-12 classroom experience. Epson's new DC-20 document camera provides educators with a valuable tool to do all three. As a new addition to Epson's document camera lineup, the DC-20 offers many advanced features. It includes a 12x optical zoom and 10x digital zoom to provide detailed images without any sac- rifice in image quality. The camera comes equipped with a large imaging sensor that captures more light per pixel than smaller imaging sensors, resulting in brighter images with amazing quality and crisp details. Additionally, the DC-20 is able to connect to projectors via its HDMI output, allowing for full 1080p HD quality video projection. Most recently, Mackin proudly revealed the availability of the MackinVIA reader app for iPhone and Android phones.
