Broadcasters Show Daily 2 5 Wednesday, April 10, 2019 Speed in Europe. Vision Research will also be featuring the Flex4K-GS and VEO4K, a compact, lightweight camera that is ideal for porta- bility, motion control and mobility rigs. It's about 1/3 of the size and at 6 pounds, half the weight of the Flex4K. The VEO4K captures up to 1000fps in 4K and 2000fps in 2K, and offloads footage either to a CFast card or over a 10Gb Ethernet net- work connection. There are battery options and accessories, such as the Cameo VEObob, which adds power outputs and compatibility with peripheral accessories. In addition to the cameras, there are new solutions for camera control and download from Vision Research and third parties that will be on display. See Vision Research (Cont'd. from p. 1) how WiFi works with the VEO, use the excellent iPhantom IOS app and interact with the updated Semote remote con- troller, which is a great remote control option for virtually all Phantom cameras. With such a large gathering of indus- try professionals, the product team at Vision Research recognizes NAB as a great place for input from cinematogra- phers and camera operators from various industries. Stop by the all-new Phantom booth #C9435 to chat about your applica- tion needs and for a hands-on demo of the latest camera models and workflow solutions. Either way, they're small enough (roughly 16 inches by 9 inches by 9 inches) to warrant permanent installa- tion, but like most near field monitors, the SCM12 Pro lacks the mounting points of 'installation-ready' loudspeak- ers. Responding to requests from its cus- tomers, ATC has produced the SCM12i, which includes those mounting points." Like the SCM12 Pro, the ATC SCM12i uses the very same UK-hand- built drivers that are so celebrated in ATC's larger flagship models. An ATC 1- inch dual suspension soft dome tweeter handles high-end content with extended high-frequency response and significantly reduced harmonic distortion. An ATC 6- inch constrained layer damping woofer handles mid- and low-frequency content with proprietary ATC technology that TransAudio Group (Cont'd. from p. 1) delivers significantly improved linearity. Even though it may be in the smallest cat- egory of ATC's product line, the specifi- cations capture the SCM12i's exceptional performance: frequency response from 80Hz to 16kHz ± 2dB, ±80° coherent hor- izontal and ±10° coherent vertical disper- sion, and 108dB continuous SPL per pair at 1m. The SCM12i Pro is now available. About TransAudio Group TransAudio Group, founded by industry veteran Brad Lunde, has quickly become a premier U.S. importer/distributor and/or U.S. sales and marketing repre- sentative for high-end audio. Success hinges on TransAudio providing dealers and end users with a higher standard of product expertise and support far beyond the norm. Walton's new Portable Radome is designed to cover and protect satellite uplink/terminal antennas in the size and operating frequency classes commonly used for remote uplinks and broadband satellite data connectivity to remote loca- tions. An operator can quickly assemble this lightweight radome with no tools. It assembles in less than an hour, unlike conventional radomes, which can take two days of crew labor and a crane to install. The lightweight Radome solution can be rapidly installed, temporarily, where it would simply not be feasible to install a traditional Radome. Operational in an 85 mph (136 kph) constant wind load, the self-supporting structure requires no continuous power, unlike Inflatable SATCOM Antennas (ISA) antenna covers. Flyaway Walton Portable Radomes are also airline bag- gage checkable. The company offers automated heating add-ons to prevent snow and ice buildup. For operation in Walton (Cont'd. from p. 1) burning desert or equatorial sun, the Portable Radome antenna cover can keep reflectors and outdoor electronical equip- ment cool to prevent damage. "As the leading designer and manu- facturer of satellite earth station antenna de-icing and weather protection systems used in broadcast, cable and satellite facil- ities for over three decades, we heard from our customers with installations around the world," says David Walton, Vice President of W.B. Walton Enterprises, Inc. (known as Walton De-Ice). "Customers told us they could not find adequate solu- tions to protect antennas in the field from harsh conditions like dust storms, high winds, hail, snow and more." "We developed the Portable Radome to address a gap in the market for this kind of solution for transportable and deploy- able satellite facilities," says Walton. Visit W. B. Samson Satellite hits the feature list sweet spot these creators are looking for when recording at home, in the project studio or on the road," said Sean Meagher, Director of Marketing for Samson Technologies. In addition to iOS compatibility, the Satellite functions as a conventional USB mic for traditional computers as well. It offers a 3-color LED (Power, Mute, Clipping) indicator, an internal shockmount for minimizing table rum- Samson Satellite (Cont'd. from p. 1) ble and vibration noise, and a body con- structed of aluminum and steel to han- dle the rigors of travel. A traditional USB and a USB to lightning cable are included in the package so you'll have everything you need to start recording. Samson Satellite will be available at major retailers for $99.99 starting in May 2019. Visit Samson Technologies at booth #C2636. Graphene improves the transfer of heat from the transistor to the heat sink, which means a lower operating temperature, and consequently higher reliability and longer life. Efficiency is also enhanced by speed- controlled fans that maintain the transmit- ter at its optimum temperature, resulting in more savings and longer life. The Slate series also includes unique features such as self-diagnosis of performance, remov- ing the need for costly test equipment to measure key performance metrics like Signal to Noise Ratio (SNR), Intermodulation Distortion (IMD or Shoulders) and transport stream input bit rate. Every Anywave transmitter comes with the options of ASI, IP and or RF input, offering the flexibility to use the equipment as either a translator or trans- mitter. Another unique feature is that the transmitters can include an EAS switch Anywave (Cont'd. from p. 4) system, removing the need for multiple EAS receivers at one location, or many locations, if the transmitters or translators are within the same EAS district. Static Picture Feature (SPF) is also offered as a standard option that allows the station to stay on the air even with the input signal being removed. A translator or LPTV transmitter must switch off within 30 sec- onds of loss of signal, and that means if the incoming signal is lost due to the main station going off air, or an STL or microwave link being broken, the Anywave transmitter can stay on the air with a full compliant ATSC signal. The new Slate series from Anywave really does bring the LPTV and translator technology to the forefront of technolo- gy, without costing more.
