Anywave Moves LPTV Technology to 21st Century The low power television and translator market has typically worked with low budgets and tight margins. Cost-con- scious decisions and frugal investments were the name of the game. Equipment purchases were routinely based on low initial capital investment versus design features, benefits and product efficiency. Anywave introduces a new range of Low Power Transmitters called the Slate Series. This new series of transmitters, at unparalleled prices, have power ranges from 60W to 600W, and feature the most efficient RF transistor available today for UHF broadcast amplification. The BLF888E is a standard among high power transmitters, saving stations tens of thousands of dollars in HVAC and electricity costs. Now the same efficien- cy and proportionally the same savings are available to LPTV and translator sta- tion owners. What this means is if a translator organization operates seven translators, each operating at 100W power output, and operates year-round, the savings would be in excess of $4000/year. As a percentage of the cost of one translator this is a signifi- cant savings. The same savings are possi- ble with just one 600W system. In addition to the use of the BLF888E broadband transistor, Anywave has also enhanced reliability with the use of graphene technology. Graphene heat conductivity is four times that of copper Continued on Page 25
