H o s p i t a l i t y & D e s i g n S h o w D a i l y 9 Tu e s d a y, J u n e 1 6 , 2 0 1 5 AMERICAN INNOVATION: IZIT LEATHER BY WILLOW TEX Synthetic leather producer Willow Tex introduced the original IZIT Leather more than 25 years ago, becoming the very first polyurethane (PU) synthetic leather for upholstery use. Willow Tex has continually developed and advanced synthetic leather technology. "By moving production to the U.S., not only will we continue our legacy of innovation, Willow Tex will be a phe- nomenal resource for our customers," said Willow Tex Executive Director Jeff Noethlich. "We are moving all IZIT Leather production to the U.S.A., and with our new eco-efficient manufacturing facility opening in North Carolina, we will leverage our proprietary manufactur- ing process which uses up to 90 percent less energy and 80 percent less solvents than conventional synthetic leather." Willow Tex has engineered IZIT Leather to perform in high traffic, abu- sive environments while maintaining its luxurious aesthetic and soft supple hand feel. With unmatched appearance retention, IZIT Leather far exceeds the performance requirements for finish adhesion, abra- sion resistance, stitch tear strength and light/color fastness. "Willow Tex's move to produce IZIT Leather in the U.S.A will be the best choice for meeting and exceeding our customers' needs. We will be in better contact and have more resources avail- able to our customers while shortening lead times, strength- ening supply chains and driving down costs," said Noethlich. With people becoming more and more conscious of where their products are coming from, "Made in the U.S.A." has become more than just a slogan. It's a movement to restore America, and it's one that Willow Tex is proud to bolster. For more information, visit IZIT Leather at booth #2050 on the 7th floor. ACOUSTICAL PANELS WITH SCULPTURAL STYLE Blending the science behind BuzziSpace's range of acoustically-driv- en designs with the artistic look of sculp- tural wall panels, BuzziBlox Wedge is a multipurpose focal point for work/life environments. Designed to improve sound sensitive areas, BuzziBlox Wedge reduces noise on low and midrange fre- quencies. The alternating depths of the panels prevent sound waves from reflect- ing off of the wall's surface, absorbing different wavelengths of sound into the thick layer of foam. Each panel measures 59.5 by 59.5 cm with a chamfer that ranges from 4 to 12 cm. It is offered in a variety of colors in BuzziFabric, BuzziTerra and BuzziRough textiles. Wedge is the latest addition to the BuzziBlox line. Square, rectangle, penta and hexa shapes are also available. About BuzziSpace BuzziSpace meets the challenges of the collaborative workspace with products that inspire interaction through simple, sustain- able and acoustically-driven design. HALE³: A STORAGE DREAM Hale Manufacturing has created storage systems that resonate in a crowded indus- try. Designers and facilities managers are unfettered by conventional storage con- straints. Storage can be functional, fun and still suit today's demands. Storage can divide space, electrify and also be as beautiful as artwork. Modularity is an important compo- nent in today's active offices. We want the things that we buy today to be end- lessly changeable in the future. No one really knows what today's technology will do to tomorrow's office needs. Hale has the solution to that. "Storage is an underserved segment of the contract furniture market," said Brooke Benson, Vice President of Hale. "We fill that need beautifully with new product offerings and with our classic bookcases used together or separately." Each Hale³ cube comes fully assem- bled and finished on all sides. Designers have been using the cubes in endless combinations to create unique and lasting combina- tions of function, color and tailored solutions for each client's environment. Hale has been synonymous with quality for more than 100 years, and now it is known for innovation too. Available in all of Hale's classic finishes or in nine contemporary paint colors, it gives a whole new face to the Hale product line. "It's more contemporary than what we've done in the past," said Jim Benson, President of Hale Manufacturing. "Hale³ can be changed through- out the life of the product to meet the needs of the end user. Hale³ is endless- ly reconfigurable and it's become a popular choice in modular storage." Hale is proudly made and sourced in the U.S. Hale wood products have been a staple in the contract furniture and library industry since 1907. For more information, go to www.halesince1907.com. TELES HIGH RESILIENCY RUBBER FROM MANNINGTON COMMERCIAL Rubber flooring has not always found a fit in hospitality spaces, in part because it is prone to show indentations in areas where high foot traffic or heavy roller loads are the norm. From entryways to stairways, landings and vending areas, rubber's benefits are obvious: bringing comfort underfoot, sound absorption and greater safety through slip resistance. Rubber could be a perfect match, if only it was strong enough to hold up to the back-of-house. Thanks to the deep experience of its Burke Flooring division, Mannington Commercial has created Teles, the indus- try's first high resiliency rubber flooring. Originally developed for the health- care market, which also endures heavy foot traffic and extreme roller loads, Teles has an indentation resistance of 1,500 PSI, six times higher than the stan- dard specification for rubber tile. Yet it also brings all of the acoustic benefits, comfort underfoot and color play that designers expect from Mannington rub- ber. In keeping with its aes- thetic, which was inspired by natural earthscapes seen on Google Earth, Teles is PVC- free, natural rubber made in the U.S.A. and IAQ certified under FloorScore. The collec- tion is offered with a remark- able color palette. Custom colors are also available, and can be further customized through the use of color pairs or shifted to darker or lighter tones, for a more dramatic look. Teles is available in 35- inch square tiles, 17.5-inch square tiles, 17.5-inch by 35- inch tile, and 5.8-inch by 35- inch planks. Modular formats mean reduced waste and downtime during installation. Thanks to three internal waxes, Teles never requires stripping, waxing or other costly maintenance. Visit Mannington Commercial at booth #10 1039.
