I say this because I see the tendency of their friends to gravitate toward fried chips, sweet cakey things and choco-stuff more often than not. And don't even get me started about how mostly everyone in the United States is supposed to be overweight these days. Formaggio Brand cheese products have been in my refrigerator for over a decade because we love the results when cooking with their fresh mozzarella, their meat and cheese rolls, fresh mozzarella and provolone antipasto salads and now their pre-sliced rolls and Artisan Wraps™. Alpine Valley takes the lead in introducing the New Organic Super Grains bread. The four power seeds seizing center stage are quinoa, chia, teff and kamut. When they are combined into one super product, they pack a punch when it comes to health benefits – exactly what customers are looking for today. The selected four grains made the R and D grade for the following rea- sons: Quinoa is naturally free of gluten and high in protein with notable vita- min E content, along with containing all the essential amino acids recommended for good health. Chia is loaded with fiber, protein, Omega-3 fatty acids and antioxidants. Chia is also high in calcium, magnesium and phosphorus, which are essential for bone health. Teff leads all the grains in calcium content by a large margin and is Continued on Page 41 Continued on Page 41 A GOURMET NEWS SPECIAL PUBLICATION NOT AFFILIATED WITH IDDBA Lee M.
