At AR Metals' facility, environmental sustainability is built into its refinery and processes, exceeding environmental regula- tory requirement. Located in the Keystone Industrial Port Complex, an eco-industrial complex granted the "Governor's Award for Environmental Excellence," it was designed and built in 2010 from the ground up with the latest advanced technology. As the only ISO-14001, R2, e- Stewards and LEED certified zero-dis- charge facility of its kind in the United States, with baghouses, neutralizing scrubbers and waste water treatment equipment found throughout the facility, Abington Reldan Metals reflects its com- mitment to environmental sustainability at every step of the refining process. As a result, AR Metals has achieved more than 43 percent in annual water savings, a 35 Reldan Metals ( Cont'd. from p. 1) percent reduction in energy consumption, and diverted thousands of tons of waste away from landfills. AR Metals is equally committed to protecting its customers' sensitive materi- als, using gated entrances, security teams, a secure vault and multi-level security systems throughout its facility. With more than 30 years of experi- ence in the precious metal recycling and refining industry, Abington Reldan Metals has accumulated the knowledge and skills necessary to serve its cus- tomers in an ever-changing industry. Because its video technology is applicable to a variety of industries, the company partners with leaders in high- potential markets to extend its reach. These strategic partnerships allow RemoteReality to go to market quickly in multiple industries, while enabling its partners to differentiate their offer- ings by embedding state-of-the-art optics and software into their products to deliver live, high-quality panoramic video. The company has partnerships in several industries, all of whom are reporting multiple benefits: Robotics RemoteReality's product provides a wider field of view and uses less band- width than other options, which is extremely important in the robotics industry. Partners report being able to better navigate their robots, move them faster and reduce their operating costs. Entertainment Providing real-time views of sporting events as they unfold allows RemoteReality's partners to give viewers immediate, interactive on-line experi- ences that complement what they may be seeing on television. It also gives viewers RemoteReality ( Cont'd. from p. 1) an ability to interact with the video so they can see what they're most interested in. Additionally, the company can supply a "second screen" of video to its broad- cast partners, providing additional views of the action to their clients. Surveillance In a municipal surveillance application, RemoteReality's optics and software deliver broad area coverage, which means that all the ground in a particular area is viewable, with no blind spots. The excellent quality of the video enables police to see farther with each camera than alternative wide-area cameras (com- pared to fisheyes, for example). As a result, fewer cameras are needed to cover an area, resulting in considerable cost savings, and added safety and security for residents. Climb inside a racecar or fighter jet today! Visit RemoteReality at booth #75621 to watch a demo from the com- pany's partner, Real Time Immersion (www.rtistudios.com), which has pro- duced videos using Remote Reality's cameras in racecars and fighter jets and for snowboarding, skydiving, concerts and professional sporting events. SecuRam ( Cont'd. from p. 1) sound integrity. A dual ventilation bas- ket smooths airflow within the basket and lets it out from the back and sides of the subwoofer, resulting in improved heat dissipation and superior bass reproduction. The new square array pattern cone design helps with cone rigidity. From the Kenwood eXcelon line, the KFC-XW-120 12-inch subwoofer can handle 400 watts RMS and 2,000 watts peak power at 4 ohms. Its small- er companion, the 10-inch eXcelon KFC-XW-100, handles 300 watts RMS and 1,300 watts peak at 4 ohms. Suggested retail prices are $120 and S110, respectively. Like the KFC-WX- 100, the KFC-W2516PS (MSRP $110.00) also peaks at 1,300 watts and handles 300 watts RMS at 4 ohms. All woofers are shipping in January. The new power sports amplifiers tout a small design that allows them to fit into the storage compartments of motor- cycles, quads or boats. The circuit boards from the CEA-2006-compliant ampli- fiers are treated with conformal coating to deter damage over time from the ele- ments. The KCA-M1824BT (MSRP $300; March ship date) is designed to allow a Bluetooth-enabled device to act as a source unit. The amplifier includes built-in Bluetooth with sound-enhancing aptX technology, as well as a USB port that charges the paired device. In addition to Bluetooth, high-and low-level inputs work with factory or aftermarket radios, and an RCA output allows the user to expand the system with an additional amplifier. An IPX5-certi- fied wired remote control enables vol- ume control and media selection. Kenwood ( Cont'd. from p. 1) The four-channel KC-M1824BT is rated at 45 watts per channel at 4 ohms (peak output at 100 watts per channel). If the two sets are bridged for two-speaker applications the output is 90 watts RMS per channel at 4 ohms. At $200, the KCA-M3001 is a sin- gle-channel amplifier designed for use with a subwoofer. It includes a variable low-pass filter to optimize bass output and both speaker-level and low-level inputs for installation flexibility. Power output is rated at 200 watts at 4 ohms; 300 watts at 2 ohms. The companion KCA-M3004, also with an MSRP of $200, runs four chan- nels and includes high- and low-pass filters. It is rated at 50 watts per chan- nel at 4 ohms; 75 watts per channel at 2 ohms. The three amplifiers are expected to ship between February and March. See them, as well as the new subwoofers at Kenwood booth #1702 in the North Hall during International CES.
