Names Daniel Fabricant New CEO
The Natural Products Association, a non-profit trade
organization dedicated to the natural products indus-
try, recently announced that Daniel Fabricant will be
its new Chief Executive Officer. Fabricant has worked
as the Director of the Division of Dietary Supplement
Programs at the U.S. Food and Drug Administration for
the past three years, and prior to that served as Vice
President of Global Government and Scientific Affairs
for NPA, including serving as Active CEO for several
months in 2009.
Fabricant has published extensively and is inter-
nationally recognized both for his regulatory and
governmental public health expertise and natural
products research. He is a sought after speaker, reg-
ular guest on national news programs and has tes-
tified before Congress. He was awarded the FDA
Commissioners Award for his service on several dif-
ferent initiatives. His service at the FDA required him
to direct agency policy, public affairs and regulatory
action regarding regulation of the $32 billion dietary
supplement industry.
"NPA is the leading association in the industry, and
my top priority is ensuring NPA remains the premiere
organization for advocacy and regulatory engage-
ment," said Fabricant.
The NPA is a prominent trade association that ad-
vocates for companies that supply, manufacture and
sell natural ingredients or products. Founded in 1936,
NPA represents over 2,000 members, including man-
ufacturers, wholesalers and distributors of natural

Kelly Krause named CEO at Atlantic Natural Foods
The Board of Directors of Atlantic Natural Foods has
elected Kelly Krause as CEO and Managing Partner.
Krause has served as ANF's Chief Operating Officer
since 2010.
"Kelly Krause has been responsible for bringing the
company's operation to its current level of excellence,"
said J. Douglas Hines, General Partner of Atlantic Nat-
ural Foods. "For those of us who have worked with Ms.
Krause for many years, we can all attest to her pas-
sion, drive and commitment to driving our plans for
continued growth."
Prior to joining Atlantic Natural Foods, Krause was
employed with Good Health Natural Products, where
she was responsible for procurement, sales and gen-
eral management with a focus on new product devel-
opment. From 2000-2009, she served as Vice
President of Trade Marketing at Bumble Bee Foods,
where she managed several key business units includ-
ing canned meat and seafood.
ANF also announced that Tim Carper, the com-
pany's current Managing Director, is retiring. "Mr.
Carper has been with company since its inception in
2008 and was instrumental in bringing the venture to
the area," said Hines. "Over the 10 years he has been
in the region he has been a strong supporter of Nash
County, N.C. and the continual development of Atlantic
Natural Foods in the region."

Kronos Foods Names Howard Eirinberg New CEO
Kronos Foods, Inc., a privately held manufacturer of
premium gyros and other Mediterranean and spe-
cialty foods, has named Howard Eirinberg as the
company's new Chief Executive Officer. Eirinberg,
who succeeds long-time Kronos CEO Michael
Austin, joined Kronos in 2011 to lead all sales and
marketing initiatives for the company's wide-rang-
ing operations.
Before joining Kronos, Eirinberg, who has more
than 30 years of food industry experience, served as
President and Chief Operating Officer of Vienna Beef,
Ltd., the Chicago-based manufacturer of hot dogs,
sausages and other specialty foods. There, he over-
saw the company's national food service and retail
businesses. Prior to that, Eirinberg ran the foodser-
vice division of Fresh Express, Inc., a fresh-cut veg-
etable processor. He also held senior sales and
marketing positions at salad dressings manufacturer
Richelieu Foods, Inc. and food conglomerate The
Quaker Oats Co.
