Re s ta u ra n t D a i l y N e ws Fri d a y, M a y 1 6 , 2 0 1 4 2 6 HELPING U.S. PRODUCTS BECOME GLOBAL BRANDS Do you export? Are you ready? The Food Export Association of the Midwest USA (Food Export-Midwest) and Food Export USA-Northeast (Food Export-Northeast) help small food and agricultural compa- nies export their products and support them on their way to becoming global brands. Through a custom, three-tiered approach of exporter education and out- reach, market entry and market promo- tion, more and more small companies are discovering the benefits of exporting. Food Export-Midwest and Food Export-Northeast are two of four U.S. State Regional Trade Groups. These non- profit organizations partner with state agricultural promotion agencies and use federal, state and industry resources to help U.S. suppliers increase sales over- seas. Services they provide are funded through the Market Access Program, administered by the Foreign Agricultural Service of the United States Department of Agriculture. "Every day we help companies across a 22 state region in the Midwest and Northeast learn about the value of exporting, enter new markets and remain successful in those markets. Through Food Export-Midwest in Chicago and Food Export-Northeast in Philadelphia, and our extensive net- work of partners and In-Market Representatives around the globe, we provide cost-effective services to help companies increase sales and expand internationally," stated Tim Hamilton, Executive Director of Food Export- Midwest and Food Export-Northeast. "The majority of companies we assist are small, in many cases family-owned, and don't have the resources or capital to even learn about exporting, much less enter new markets. That's where we help. Food exporting remains an incredibly bright spot in today's economy and many companies are not aware of the help available to enter and succeed in new markets." Depending on where a company is on their exporting path, Food Export- Midwest and Food Export-Northeast can provide a custom package of services to meet the needs of U.S suppliers. Specific programs include Buyers Missions in which international buyers come to the U.S. to meet with suppliers, similar to what is being held on the floor of the NRA Show. Focused Trade Missions bring U.S. suppliers to a country to meet with international buyers and immerse themselves in the market and learn first- hand about distribution, sales, pricing and competing products. Food Export also offers Food Show PLUS!™, a cus- tomized trade show enhancement service so sup- pliers can maximize their international trade show experience and take advan- tage of extensive market expertise. The Market Builder program provides tailored, in- market research to help determine if a market is right for a particular product. The Branded Program provides 50 percent cost reimbursement for a variety of international marketing activities including: package and label modifica- tions, advertising, in-store promotions, product demonstrations, public relations, websites, tradeshow expenses, marketing and point of sale materials. DAYMARK'S FAK35 ORGANIZES FIRST AID REFILLS USING UNIQUE BUNDLE SYSTEM DayMark ® Safety Systems, well-known for its OSHA-compliant first aid kits, has announced its latest addition to its innovative first aid kit line, the DayMark FAK35. This mid-size kit is large enough to store extra refills, and is wall-mountable for easy access. It also includes a new item, exclusive to DayMark Safety Systems, the Easy Access Bandage™. This highly-visible blue bandage features a removable "tab" design, which allows the bandage to be removed from its wrapper without com- promising its sterility. Along with having a great kit design and an exclusive new bandage, contents of the DayMark FAK35 are organized by using a unique "bundle system." Each of the six bundles contains several first aid items that are grouped together based on how quickly they are used. This system makes the kit easier for managers to maintain, which can lead to more efficient replacement ordering. Jeff Palmer, President of DayMark, said, "We wanted to provide a first aid solution for our distributor partners that helped them manage their first aid inven- tory more conveniently. By organizing the refills into a fast to slow moving usage bundle system, it allows the ability to offer a full range first aid program without tying up significant resources due to managing the SKUs individually." About DayMark Safety Systems Founded in 1989, DayMark is an industry leader in safety systems for commercial and non-com- mercial foodservice operations, headquartered in Bowling Green, Ohio. When you partner with DayMark, The Difference is Night and Day™. DAILYDONOR: SOCIAL IMPACT THAT BOOSTS YOUR BOTTOM LINE Corporate America is finally wising up. After years of touting corporate responsi- bility and charitable giving with few memorable stories, local communities have tuned out major brands who don't deliver. In all fairness, companies must manage a balancing act between being socially responsible and answering to their investors. That's no small task. Why not let your customers guide your charitable giving by spending with your business? That's where DailyDonor comes in. DailyDonor is a revolutionary new way for businesses to increase sales and generate brand loyalty while directly supporting, and being supported by, their local communities. It's a win-win situa- tion, and its patented tools make it simple to play your part. Here's how it works: using the DailyDonor smartphone app, it features and drives traffic directly into your busi- ness. Community members looking to support their local schools and favorite charities seek out your locations because you're contributing directly to causes near and dear to their hearts. This isn't a "deals" structure where you're forced to offer a deep discount that gouges your bottom line. It's tax-deductible charitable giving in exchange for sales. Big differ- ence. Parents, teachers and students sup- port your business, pay regular price for your service or product, and are no doubt motivated to spend more because they know it's for a good cause: their own. Nobody loses. On top of increased customer traffic and brand loyalty, the long-term advan- tages of DailyDonor are quite significant to businesses big and small. The app is not only easy to use, it's easy to share with others – and "word of mouth" is one of the most powerful marketing tools known to man. DailyDonor gives your business the tools needed to make certain your customers are talking about your participation and generosity – constantly. DailyDonor also simplifies the processes of connecting with your com- munity, sponsoring local schools, sched- uling events, documenting and delivering donations, and more. Whether you choose to provide corporate donations as a means of transparency or appealing to a prevailing social conscience, getting behind DailyDonor members' causes not only makes them feel good, but it makes your brand look like a local hero in the process. So you can feel good, and look good, too. Get on board. DailyDonor's patented fundraising is the future of charitable contributions.
