In addition, the 5600SLP Blue will offer a spectrum option out to 1300nm for the most accu- rate thin film module testing available. The 5600SLP Blue unique features pulse widths exceeding 130ms and single flash "triple curve" irradiance testing, enabling accurate and reliable power measurement of highly capacitive c-Si silicon, thin film, and HIT modules. These features make the simulator ideal for use in applications for laboratory R&D and university research. The inno- vative optical design makes the system uniquely suited as a measurement instru- ment for leading international calibration Spire Corp. (Cont'd. from p. 1) and certification organizations, and sup- ports traceability to international "gold" module standards certified by the world's leading calibration bodies. Spire's simu- lators are the international reference stan- dard for certification, calibration and test labs worldwide including NREL, UL, TÜV, FSEC, EC-JRC ( ISPRA), CSA, KIER, Sandia, Brookhaven, Sandia Labs, KTL,ERDA, Exova and Intertek. The 5600SLP Blue ensures accurate measurement of advanced solar cells' complete spectral response (Internal Quantum Efficiency) with the capability of the 5600SLP's blue light (300nm- 400nm near-UV spectrum). Get every possible watt from advanced cell/module material structures with a Class A+ 300nm -1100nm spectrum. For more information, visit www.spirecorp.com. Standardized parts, few components and simple assembly result in lower labor and equipment cost. Roof-friendly features protect the panel, roof surface and warranty. The patented design encapsulates wiring and sheds snow and water, lowering mainte- nance costs. As a real estate veteran, SolarDock is able to anticipate and solve construction Solar Dock (Cont'd. from p. 1) issues, and customers enjoy comprehen- sive support from engineering design to installation. With more than 500 success- ful projects and 40 megawatts installed in 35 states and worldwide, SolarDock is recognized among leading integrators and distributors as the proven choice in flat- roof solar mounting systems. SKYLINE SOLAR: A ONE-STOP SHOP FOR SOLAR SUPPORT STRUCTURES FOR COVERED PARKING AREAS Skyline Solar Arizona is a design-build construction firm that builds solar sup- port structures in the form of carport, parking garage, and top-of-parking-lot structures. Formed in 2009, Skyline Solar is a division of Skyline Steel, which was founded in 1983 as a com- mercial covered parking company in the state of Arizona. In 1990, the com- pany diversified into Division 5 Miscellaneous and Structural Steel Fabrication and Erection. Then in 2002, the company used its expertise as a covered parking company to springboard into the solar industry because, of course, mounting a solar installation on top of a covered parking facility is a terrific opportunity to increase the efficiency of the structure. Eleven years later, Skyline is one of the larger solar contractors in the coun- try, with 23 mW of solar support struc- tures installed during 2012 alone. The company operates nationwide, building projects from coast to coast from shops in Gilbert, Ariz., where components are built on-site for assembly with the company's own employees, eliminating the potential delays and quality control issues that could arise from outsourcing to sub- contractors. "We're a one-stop shop with design-build capabilities with vast experience in solar installations that gives us the ability to be creative about how we approach a project and provide solutions for its unique issues. We per- form all work with our own employees, and without subcontractors. We own all of our own equipment," says Rick Dancer, President and Owner of Skyline Solar Arizona. "That means that we can design-build, engineer, fab- ricate and install with our own employ- ees and our own equipment. This leads to lower costs as well as better quality control. We can get things done in a more timely fashion because we don't have to depend on outsourcing to third parties with their own schedules and agendas. It also minimizes the potential for any disputes between our customers and the folks who are constructing their project." QUICKSCREWS MAKES ROOF INSTALLATION EASY AND INEXPENSIVE Quickscrews International has been steadily working on creating a full line of mounting products to meet the needs of the most common residen- tial roofs in America. Quickscrews offers several different roof hooks for tile roofs. The roof hooks designed for flat tiles are very easy to install and can accommodate bottom mount rails as well as side mount rails. For curved tiles, Quickscrews has three different versions – the STRH90 is made for side mount only and has a six-inch base with slots for the greatest amount of adjustment. The STRHADJ is made for bottom mount rails and allows the installer to adjust the height of the rail easily. The newest hook in the family is just arriving and is called the STRHADJ18097. This hook gives the installer the greatest amount of adjustability. The connection comes out on the top of the barrel with an adjustment range of 67mm to 97mm over the height of the tile. The newly patented QuickBOLT system is by far and away the least expensive footing on the market. This unique footing is easy to install, and the company is backing the product with a 20-year guarantee that it will not leak. A newly designed flashing has been developed to work in con- junction with the QuickBOLT in areas where building codes require it. Add the unique offset L-foot and many other stainless steel screws, nuts and bolts, and there's no wonder why Quickscrews is now emerging as one of the more innovative companies that are developing footings for mounting solar panels on residential roofs.
