18 Tuesday, October 22, 2013 SEAWARD UNVEILS NEW SOLARLINK PV TEST TECHNOLOGY The latest solar PV electrical test kit from Seaward Solar has special Quanta Services (Cont'd. from p. 1) wide range of renewable energy projects, as well as substations and transmission interconnects. The company's unique set of self-performed services and extensive experience are further enhanced by our nationwide network of strategically selected subcontractors. Quanta Services is a leading specialized contracting services company, delivering end-to-end solutions to the electric power, oil and gas pipeline infrastructure and renewable energy industries. With operations throughout North America and in select international markets, Quanta has the manpower, resources and expertise to complete projects that are local, regional, national or international. With major offices throughout the country and a full complement of licensed engineering, procurement, conTrina Solar (Cont'd. from p. 1) price of upstream module components. Our partnerships with cell manufacturers allow our company to meet scale and sourcing requirements. SPDN: What was the most significant event or series of events affecting your company in the past year? MM: Trina Solar hit a number of key milestones in the past year. Our panels were selected for the Copper Mountain Solar Project, which at completion will be the largest polysilicon PV project in the world. We view this selection as a great validation for our company and our ability to develop and ship high-quality modules under a tight construction schedule. Additionally, the Silicon Valley Toxics Coalition again ranked Trina Solar first in its annual sustainability PV system data logging and downloading capabilities to enable contractors to struction and support personnel and all required construction equipment, Quanta can respond quickly to customers' needs, regardless of location. Quanta also has extensive experience navigating complex regulatory environments and has strong working relationships with virtually all of the region's utilities. With more than 17,000 highly skilled, experienced and mobile employees, Quanta is one of the largest non-utility employers of IBEW electricians in the United States. Quanta also continuously expands its base labor resources through the recruiting of qualified individuals and strategic acquisitions. Personnel includes a strong contingent of planning, engineering and construction experts who have worked on some of the country's recent utility-scale solar projects, many of the industry's most respected trans- scorecard for the second year in a row. SPDN: Are you introducing any new products? MM: We are introducing our new Dual Glass PDG line of solar modules. These modules are specifically designed for high-performance in extreme environmental conditions. Trina Dual Glass modules offer a lower annual degradation rate (a 30 percent improvement over current industry standard), a class A fire rating and high wind load. We also provide a 30 year power warranty for this product. The Dual-Glass module is 1000V rated. The frameless construction eliminates the need for module grounding. These features allow our customers to reduce the electrical BoS cost. In addition, the frameless module adds PID resistance and reduces soil accumulation over time. Solar Power Daily News install new solar PV installations safely, thoroughly and effectively in line with international standards. The new Solarlink Test Kit includes all the necessary equipment to perform pre- mission, distribution, protection and automation experts, some of the most experienced supervisors and craft workers available and innovative technologies and proprietary methodologies. In 2012, Quanta employed approximately 15,400 hourly employees: 7,546 union and 7,854 non-union. Solar Project EPC services and capabilities include: Full photovoltaic system engineering, procurement and construction, ground-mount systems (fixed and tracking), technology evaluation and procurement, solar system design and engineering, energy generation optimization, performance modeling, project economic analysis, site planning, permitting, civil work and trenching, complete electrical design and engineering, design and installation of support structures and module tracking sysSPDN: What distinguishes your products from the competition? MM: There are two things that differentiate our modules from the competition. The first is quality. We have developed industry-leading manufacturing processes to ensure we are providing the most reliable, bankable and highest-quality panels in the industry. We test our modules above and beyond UL and IEC standards. Second, Trina Solar is committed to provide the most value to our customers. We have partnered with ZEP Solar and Tigo Energy to provide our customers with a complete solar solution. We have developed Trinamount modules, which enable our customers to use the more efficient ZEP-compatible rail-less mounting system. This improves their installation speed. Our TrinaSmart modules incorporate Tigo DC optimizers which provide maximum energy output installation site surveys and measure the electrical safety and performance of installed PV systems in line with IEC 62446. SPDN: To what do you attribute your company's success? MM: We have always ensured that our company has acted conservatively to maintain a strong balance sheet. This means our customers can be sure that we will be around for the long haul. We also place a priority on innovation and quality testing. Trina Solar was the first company authorized to conduct in-house Underwriters Laboratories (UL) certification testing for solar modules in the world.
