6 Monday, June 10, 2013 THE KURVE COLLECTION FROM MARTIN BATTRUD TURNS HEADS Once again Martin Brattrud has realized its design philosophy in The Kurve Collection: to create products that embrace and integrate with interior landscapes. This collection is a fresh approach to Martin Battrud's existing linear forms. The sinuous aesthetics of The Kurve Collection achieve a new distinction for Martin Brattrud. The detailing of the collection has been meticulously designed and crafted. Martin Brattrud commissioned Alan Dandron and Avery Miyasato Handy to design The Kurve Collection. The Kurve Collection stimulates the senses of the user and cradles the body to provide a soothing comfort. The lounge seating and occasional tables were designed to capture the eye and stimulate interest in the collection from every angle. The Kurve Collection offers three lounge style options: Standard, Wing Back and Low Back Chair (pictured). The collection is standard with a polished stainless steel four-prong base that is also available in brushed stainless with an auto-return swivel. The BEYOND THE FOLD: A MOVEMENT IN THE MAKING Taking inspiration from architecturally constructed forms, Beyond the Fold employs origami techniques, angles and facets, interlocking segments and pleated dimension. The collection includes four tile products and a coordinating broadloom. An evolution of On the Edge, Beyond the Fold allows you to define edges in a space with Folded Edge and carry color and pattern through with Folded. The collection builds upon Shaw Contract Group's rectangular tile platform where installation methods offer an additional layer of design and new levels of creativity. Asymmetrical folds, sculpted angles and scored geometry intersect, adding architectural form to floor designs. This is movement in the making. Beyond the fold is ideal for public spaces, conference rooms, executive suites and office environments. The 18 by 36 tile size provides a solution for larger scale projects while delivering an interesting second layer of design by allowing designers to create a pattern within a pattern. The exploration with dimension and how to define a space resulted in a varied selection of product that can connect, define, expand or add contrast to an area with folds, pleats or clearly defined lines. Pleated dimensions and color are revealed in Folded Tile, as Folded Edge Tile creates an edge of color. Expand Tile is an essential texture to be used alone or to expand areas. Angle Tile utilizes MANNINGTON COMMERCIAL CREATES WOOD WITH AN EDGE As LVT continues to be a hot product in commercial applications from hospitality to healthcare, Mannington Commercial, a leader in flooring for commercial interiors, has created the Amtico Collection Design Woods, to expand the possibilities of wood looks in LVT beyond traditional planks. Inspired by natural woods rather than trying to replicate them, the collection brings bold, weighty, and upscale aesthetics to LVT. Strong yet familiar, original and versatile, these are wood looks with an edge. The three patterns in the Amtico Collection Design Woods – Cirrus, Quill and Shibori are notable for new grain patterning with a range of effects that resemble worn, rustic, and reclaimed woods. Cirrus brings a light, textile-like softness and shimmer to a sawn-wood aesthetic; Quill layers and weaves together color twists and converging grains; Shibori is a soft design that can be combined in ele- SOFTETCH GLASS OFFERS A WEALTH OF OPTIONS FOR CUSTOMIZATION SoftEtch is a clear glass with a smooth etched finish being presented at NeoCon by EFI.
