As I speak with our retail pharmacy clients, I fre- quently hear about the exhaustion of the last few years, how bad reimbursement is and the devaluation of pharmacy. But that is not the whole story ... not even close. This is the time to move, change, disrupt and reinterpret your mission, your success and your future. Because of the massive consolidation in the industry, new entrants offer new avenues for dif- ferent conversations, new visions and greater success. Technology is redefining what a customer is and how they view the market. From my perspective, this unease in the market creates opportunity. When everything is stable and predictable, the only winners are the largest players. But in unstable markets, speed, technology and niche plays help re-image the future of your company. How does re-imaging work and why is it important today? First and foremost, consider the definition of a gas station. Growing up, my grandfather owned a gas station.
