Broadcasters Show Daily 2 5 Tuesday, April 9, 2019 management. Whether it's a large volume Cable TV or DTH roll out requiring hundreds or even thousands of axisymmetric or offset antennas ranging from 60cm to 5m in diameter, a small to medium size VSAT program, or even a requirement for 3m to 13m earth stations, the experi- enced sales and technical personnel at Viking Satcom will work with you to identify the correct equipment to meet both your technical and commercial requirements. Viking Satcom is also an industry leader in the supply of motorized TVRO and VSAT antennas, offering cost effec- tive motorized and controlled solutions for its TVRO antennas, with sizes rang- ing from 3m to 4.8m, to its VSAT offset antennas, with sizes ranging from 1.8m to 3.8m. All of Viking Satcom's antennas are offered with different mounting options, too, from cost effective simple ground pole solutions, to kingpost mounts and non-penetrating roof mounts. Along with motorized antennas, Viking Satcom also offers a wide range in motorized feed systems for automat- Viking Satcom (Cont'd. from p. 1) ic control of feed polarization. With an extensive line of feed products, Viking Satcom offers both fixed and motorized feeds for axisymmetric and offset antennas in C, X, Ku and Ka-band fre- quencies. Viking Satcom also offers a wide range in quick-deploy antennas, includ- ing both Flyaway and Manpak antennas, ranging in sizes of 1m to 2.4m, for C- band, X-band, Ku-band and Ka-band Tx/Rx operation. These lightweight and cost-effective antennas consist of durable sectional reflectors with quick deploying tripod mounts, and rugged cases for transportation and storage. As a preferred master distributor for companies such as Norsat International, Terrasat and NJRC, Viking Satcom can also offer its customers the very finest quality and performing LNB, BUC and SSPA/HPA products in the industry at very competitive prices. Most of these products are in stock at Viking Satcom and can be offered for quick delivery. With proven power handling of 17KW at 13.56MHz, 3KW at 1 GHz, and a range of interconnect options avail- able, 4806 is an increasingly popular selection for broadcast transmission sys- tems. IW 50Ω cables are used in custom configurations for high performance audio applications. Multi-coax compos- ites using stranded center conductor cables are employed due to extremely low attenuation achieved by its low den- sity PTFE proprietary lamination process and silver plated copper conductor and double shield design. Founded in 1970, Insulated Wire, Inc. developed a unique PTFE lamination process and applied it to the manufactur- ing of wire and cable. This process allowed IW to manufacture products of unprecedented reliability along with smaller diameters. Combining the lami- nation process with a patented shield design allowed IW to become one of the leaders in low loss microwave transmis- sion lines utilizing both solid and expanded PTFE dielectrics. In 1988, IW expanded its operations and created the IW Microwave Products Division, which offers a wide range of microwave cable assemblies that operate from the low MHz to 70 GHz in frequency. These cables, coupled with a broad array of connectors, allow IW to create custom assemblies for both military and com- mercial applications. IW strives to stay ahead of the ever- Insulated Wire (Cont'd. from p. 1) changing military/commercial microwave markets by implementing new products and processes. These include cables with stable phase perform- ance over both temperature and flexure, its Tuf-Flex™ cables which offer com- pression resistance up to 250 pounds per linear inch, polyurethane jacketed cables for low smoke/zero halogen applications and stranded center conductor cable for increased flexibility. Its high perform- ance 75 Ω cables are being used in the video tracking and surveillance areas of UAVs, and satellite launch vehicles. IW has developed special procedures to work with the increasing demand for smaller cables and connectors without compromising performance. IW's engineering staff can help with questions that may occur during any phase of a project. This includes assis- tance for cable/connector configuration in racks, "black boxes," and other sys- tems where transmission line perform- ance is critical, specialized custom designs and anything in between. IW can also be on-site to help with cable routing and installation. Engineering support is also available for optimal cable/connec- tor selection for unique applications. IW operates two facilities; headquar- ters and cable manufacturing are located in Bayport, New York, and the Microwave Products Division, responsi- ble for the production and sale of all microwave assemblies, is located in Bethel, Connecticut.
