Consumer Electronics Daily News 2 1 Wednesday, January 9, 2019 Matias Makes Worthy Successor to Discontinued Wired Aluminum Keyboard The Matias Wired Aluminum Keyboard for Mac has a built-in USB 2.0 hub and precision volume dial. "When the Magic Keyboard with Numeric Keypad was released in 2017, the original wired model was discontin- ued. Our Matias Wired Aluminum Keyboard is more than suitable. It cap- tures the essence of the original – and even improves on it, with the addition of a pre- cision volume dial," said Edgar Matias, Chief Executive Officer of Matias. "In 2018, we launched additional wired aluminum models that are RGB backlit, meaning that you can have back- lighting in the color of your choice, pro- viding more options than ever," said Matias. "We also have new models launching in 2019 at CES." The keyboard is available in a wide range of international layouts (US, EU, Asian) and can be ordered now. The Matias Wired Aluminum Keyboard is available for $59 (US) from Matias and authorized resellers. The Matias RGB Backlit Wired Aluminum Keyboard is available for $99 (US). Matias makes other keyboards as well, and has been manufactur- ing keyboards for over 15 years. The Matias Backlit Wireless A l u m i n u m Keyboard, which comes in silver or space gray, is a high-end slim aluminum key- board with number pad. It has the ability to pair to four different devices and easily switch between them. It features back- lighting, with 10 levels of brightness con- trol. The keyboard has two rechargeable batteries: one for the keyboard operation itself that lasts up to a year before needing to be recharged, and a separate one for the backlighting that lasts up to two weeks before needing to be recharged. This ensures that you can keep typ- ing even if your backlight bat- tery gets drained. Matias is also known for its high performance mechan- ical keyboards, made with its own mechanical switches. Mechanical keyboards made by Matias include the classic Tactile Pro Keyboard for Mac, the Quiet Pro Keyboard (which gives you mechanical typing without the noise normally associated with mechani- cal keyboards) and the separated Ergo Pro Keyboard, for the ultimate in ergonomic typing and comfort. Silo360 the Latest Contribution to the New 5G Landscape For the past five years, IOT has been a favored technology development roadmap embraced by the world's lead- ing OEMs. This year's exhibition feature devices, portals and apps that link users to new dimensions of connected things. The emergence of IoT devices poses unique opportunities for application- based architecture that enables users to experience all things connected through single sign-in portals. One portal in par- ticular on display at this year's CES is presented by the award-winning design house, Noitavonne Inc. Most commonly known as a device manufacturer, Noitavonne has dedicated the past two years to redefining its passion for innova- tion in the space of cloud platform devel- opment – a move that would be used to bridge the user experience from how they currently connect with devices into how users would engage the cloud. Completing the task of combining three major elements of the internet would lead to an entirely different type of user expe- rience, hence the transformation of social, search and eCommerce into one single solution accessible from any con- nected device anywhere on the planet. The birth of social commerce gives way to Silo360.com, the authentication key that unlocks the full potential of a user's secured private cloud. Silo360 is the lat- est cloud-based OS development pow- ered by a unique FPGA architecture that forgoes the need of a user to rely on the current mobile OS strategies of both Google and IOS. Access to voice, video, music, games and cloud-based applica- tions are provided to users through a sin- gle dashboard that is simplistic and user- friendly. Noitavonne's Chief Executive Officer, Lael Alexander, calls this approach OTT-CBOS, or over the top cloud-based operating system. By simply logging into your Silo Secured Browser, a user is securely isolated from any soft- ware derives hacks of their personal information and is able to access func- tional tools and information stored within their Silo Cloud. Accessing Silo360 from any mobile device ensures that your per- sonal information is not accessible by any third party vendors. This tunneling effect enables secured real- time commu- nication of voice, video and data at speeds we haven't seen in other legacy-based systems. Noitavonne calls this experience Zero Distance, redefining how we see things that are connected as things we are sim- ply connected to. Sending files at zero distance is like reaching through a termi- nal and placing it in the hands of whom you're connected to, with no wait time or volatility of privacy. "Zero Distance puts all the things that are most important to a user directly at their fingertips. It's been our mission to address the many concerns around how large internet based companies have used their platforms as a nesting ground for serviceable data at the user's expense," said Alexander. "Silo Secured Data LLC was purposed to eliminate this threat by providing a safe space at zero distance to live, learn, play and experi- ence...." LG Electronics & Audioburst Build Next Generation of In-Car Infotainment Systems LGE and Audioburst announce a collab- oration to build the next cutting-edge in- car infotainment systems for leading automakers, giving consumers new ways to access and explore voice search and content, and brands deeper analysis around that usage in-car. The experience, still in stealth mode, is being unveiled at the show. "Automotive makers are seeking to redefine what in-car infotainment looks like alongside the progression of voice search, in-car personal assistants and autonomous driving," said Vice President Lee Sang-yong, Head of LGE Vehicle Infotainment System Research Lab. "We are excited to lead the charge in developing the new gold standard and be the first to partner with Audioburst's technology, which we will proudly debut to select partners at CES." Audioburst Deep Analysis API is an additional layer of advanced metadata categorization now available to partners, which enables a deeper understanding of the content being listened to and searched for in real-time. This will allow brands like LGE to better interpret and target consumers, while offering users of its infotainment systems the ability to dive deeper into the content they're most interested in. Now, every second of live audio is bound in real-time with rich metadata including keywords, entities, properties, features and sentiments using Audioburst's powerful new AI technolo- gy, enabling a comprehensive under- standing of context and trends like never before. Audioburst's platform, with a typical audio source, produces more than 28 million pieces of information every 24 hours. With thousands of sources, Audioburst is arming LGE and future partners with potent and comprehensive data. "LGE is known for building inno- vative in-car infotainment systems, and today's partnership showcases what's achievable when the brand comes together with Audioburst's unmatched AI technology to reimagine in-vehicle entertainment like never before," said Assaf Gad, Vice President of Marketing and Partnerships at Audioburst. "We are excited to introduce Audioburst Deep Analysis and collaborate with brands to better understand consumer behav- ior and listening experiences." This is the latest announcement from Audioburst, which harnesses the power of AI and NLU to create original voice "bursts" by listening to, understanding, segmenting and indexing millions of minutes of daily talk content from thou- sands of top audio sources including radio, podcasts and TV. About Audioburst Audioburst is a revolutionary AI-powered voice search platform that connects lis- teners to audio content. With the mission of organizing the world's audio content, every day, the Audioburst AI platform lis- tens to, understands, segments and index- es millions of minutes of audio content from top radio stations, TV and podcasts. Powered by advanced NLP technology and a proprietary AI platform that indexes audio segments into searchable "bursts" in real-time, Audioburst is introducing an entirely new way for consumers and busi- nesses to interact with live or recorded audio content across platforms and devices. The Audioburst experience is already available on several interfaces such as Audioburst Search, a new web and mobile-optimized search engine for finding, discovering, consuming and sharing audio news. Additionally, devel- opers can access the Audioburst APIs to tap into the robust Audioburst Content Library and introduce a more dynamic and personalized listening experience for users across in-car infotainment systems, voice assistants, mobile apps, IoT gadgets and smartphones, from brands including Samsung, ByteDance, Nippon Broadcasting, Radioline, Bose and Harman.
