SRP is $8.99. McJak Candy's handmade fudge is pro- duced in small batches using family recipes. The result: fudge that is rich and creamy every time. It is not the biggest, but the com- pany believes its recipes, ingredients and cooking methods create some of the best tasting products available. But don't take the company's word for it ... its products have received recognition at a national level and have triumphed in several independent taste tests. McJak's delicious home-style fudge, gour- met lollipops, cotton candy and toffee are proudly made in its family-owned candy fac- tory in Medina, Ohio. Its mission is to pro- duce great tasting confectionery products using traditional cooking methods, such as mixing individual ingredients in copper ket- tles over an open fire. The milk and butter used in the company's gourmet confections comes from cows that are happy to call Ohio dairy farms their homes. Packing materials, such as cartons, wrappers, boxes and lollipop sticks are made in the U.S. McJak became SQF Level 2 certified in 2012. In 1970, cousins Francesco Bono and Angelo Bresciani started their own Italian bakery to sell a variety of items to cus- tomers in the Boston area. One of the pre- vious tenants of the bakery they purchased left a deep fryer in the back room, which is typically not a piece of equipment most bakeries have. They started creating can- noli shells for their own bakery use, and quickly, other local bakeries heard of their success. Soon, the cousins were producing and distributing cannoli to nearly all local bakeries, and quickly began to expand pro- duction. Francesco and Angelo decided to sell their bakery and open Golden Cannoli, a manufacturing facility focused on cannoli shells, cannoli filling and other cannoli re- lated items. They quickly gained popular- ity, a reputation of having the highest quality products, and a dedication to cus- tomer service that no other cannoli com- pany had. Many of the customers that started with Golden Cannoli back in the 1970s are still customers to this day. As always, Golden Cannoli has continued to innovate the cannoli category with gro- cery, bakery and foodservice items. Avail- able in addition to the new lines are tradi- tional and chocolate covered cannoli shells, cannoli filling, foodservice cannoli chips, cannoli crumbs for parfaits and ice cream in- clusions, and pre-filled cannoli options. Golden Cannoli (Cont'd. from p. 1) simple ingredients and heritage recipes since its founding 85 years ago. "Today, we're applying this expertise in craft confections to Caramels by Atkinson, our new line of handcrafted caramels made from simple ingredients," says Eric Atkin- son, President. Available for the fall and holiday seasons, Caramels by Atkinson can be enjoyed in five perennially popular varieties: Caramel Apple, Pumpkin Spice, Vanilla, Gingerbread and Chocolate Peppermint – the perfect fla- vor companions for falling leaves and chill- ing winds. "Our new caramels are a byproduct of many impassioned work sessions. Each recipe was carefully worked and re-worked to achieve an unbeatable balance of flavor, chewiness and a smooth caramely good- ness," says Atkinson. The Caramel Apple (a staff favorite) cap- tures the tart crispness of a green apple freshly dipped in hot caramel. Pumpkin Spice is warm and cozy, just like your fa- vorite latte. Vanilla is a classic for all sea- sons. Gingerbread is reminiscent of holiday cookies, and Chocolate Peppermint has a rich chocolate flavor with actual crushed Mint Twist Peppermint pieces for a minty bite! As a family-owned company focused on the highest quality confections, Atkinson Candy believes that the best candy is still candy that's made with real ingredients by real people for all people. Caramels by Atkinson are a testament to that belief. Atkinson Candy Company has an 85-year history of handcrafting some of the most classic candies still on the market. According to Atkinson, "That's the unique thing about our business; we're a true hybrid of tradition and innovation. While we stay true to our tra- ditional roots, we're still looking for ways to make sensible updates to our brands and recipes that entice younger consumers to come along on the journey with us." "With a new 40,000 square foot factory expansion completed, there are a lot of new things happening at Atkinson Candy. We're leaning in to our future and preparing for the next 85 years," says Atkinson. Visit Atkinson Candy Company at booth #1823.
